I love the One vision mod, the subfactions gets new kind of units that further shows the factions background identity, such as Marked Of Kane gets more cybernetic units.
That's one of my issues with C&C3. While I personally think it's mostly a worthy continuation of the series it didn't lean far enough into the new lore it brought in. The subfractions are nice and a good switch up but they don't go far enough

The one unit that kanes wrath needed from tib wars was the specter artillery, arguably the rest is just extra in the expansion pack (if they stuck with three factions then the specter wouldve filled that one gap nod had) Heavy infantry in kw were bad because they didnt change the stats to make them viable for kw where such upgrades exist to counter infantry, in tib wars theyre used all the time
Man I miss this mod, I really hope more pro-games and match of those cool mods could be played as they renew the visual and interesting mechanics of this game. good to see this video again, I sitll hope you can feature more mods like this in 2024/2025.
hopefully it will be a good showcase. too often when a pro player plays a mod - not just in this game - they ignore everything new just because they can.
At 17:21 is not that Dawnbringer device get killed but because it has suicide as their close range attack which is why they explode as soon as they get close too those infantry. To prevent this, set their stance to passive so that they won't attack(explode) as soon as enemy unit get close to them.
you need to use nuclear components for renegades on specter, vertigo and dawnbringer, making them way stronger but they all cant be stealthed as soon as the upgrade is installed
I hope he or someone else makes good installation tutorial for the mod (one that includes ways to solve some problems you can get) For example i have not been able to mod kanes wrath I follwed itzteejayz tutorial step by step 10times but was never able to play this game with mods... And i have modded multiple games before The mod looks awesome i love those mok robots with energy shields 👍 (havent watched futher yet) I will definitely play it sometime if i can get it to work gotta try atleast... But atm Factorio is keeping me busy af so no time for C&C unfortunately😂

I like this mod ngl but the only thing i kinda uncomfortable is the renaming of nod,gdi, and scrin faction In vanilla i rarely playing as MoK cause it is not really that good unlike Black hand and NOD, but in this mod i really like it alot and those cyborg reapers oh ho yeah i love them so much And also i would really appreciate if there is no superweapon options for this mod
Scrin being the " Alien Technology " , should have Always been the Faction to use " Stealth " , no worries though . Didn't really see any Tri-Pods or Mechapedes in action , maybe they have " new abilities " as well . Looks great though .
Messenger (scrin vanilla) has a lot of powerful upgrades and new support power to bolster their existing army. If you want new units and unit abilities you want to check out reaper and traveller
does this One Vision make the visuals better? how does this video look so good? i have my current resolution maxed out and it doesnt look this good. and the frames arnt that high. how do i match this?
Also what is the purpose of a fake stealth tower for NOD? Like your immidetely going to realise that it is fake, because it is not going to stealth any units in the area and it is just going to stay there feeling itself lonely and useless and probably going to end its life. At least with the nuclear tample(or whatever it's called) there are some really good chances of convincing your opponent that you got one.

About the mod. I saw portions of it here and there a long time ago, and I was really impressed. However, no disrespect to the creator of the mod, some of the units and animations do not fit with the game style and the original direction. CnC 3 and Kane's Wrath were created in a sort of compact and minimalistic style. So seeing big and cumbersome units like codiac is a bit awkward for my taste. Also some of the animations of all of the Scrin factions are also a bit out of touch there. The Scrin were originally represented with their mostly blue-purple color scheme with the elements of green and it really fits with their concept. And seeing those dark sort of almost black beams also feels a little bit awkward, but maybe it is just me.
i could explain all that. whether the explanation is a good justification would be up to you to decide. new units are taken from CNC4 - hence the style. the lore also justifies at least Kodiak's existence - maybe not the exact configuration, but existence and size for sure. you could probably find a mod or mod version that doesn't include the massive units, but it likely won't be as well made as this one - a trade off to be made by the player, if you're willing to take it. also, if this helps, the mod doesn't import as many units as some others and those imported are far from the worst looking ones. dark rays on the Devourer are there to distinguish them more from other attack alterations. original game already ran out of colors to represent upgrade, powerup and veterancy beam attacks.

And that the some of the presented units, color schemes and animations don't really fit into the KW's universe, even though they look fin in the rest of the frenchise.

my favorite KW mod :D i really like how the mod tries to fit in new additions as best as possible.

The nuclear upgrade effects specters, vertigos and dawn bringer devices to make them do more damage and splash

I hope Leaf can make the 4k work with this, as well as the Author of the Mod gets some AI support for it, that would be fun.
We are working on AI support at the moment, at this point in time its just improving the build orders so the AI does not stall on eco
Part of it is there are new graphics, units, and buildings so Leaf would have to do another pack and they probably wouldn’t be cross compatible.

drop them in a metaphorical Africa, watch the opponent spend time and effort to try and reveal the absolute nothing hidden around it :D

While I do think One Vision is one of the better mods out there, I wouldn't say its free of feature creep.
