What I find funny about Julius' Ritual of Devastation is that it never kills you; it will always leave you with at least 1 HP. Meanwhile his regular attacks and artes can kill you just fine. Xillia 2, you and your weird ways.
Well think about it, if you had like 1/3 of your HP you are still probably safe against normal attacks, and can act with a reasonable margin for error, but if he used his mystic arte on you then you could die without any chance to react.
Xaveze You haven't met the menace that is Julius' Moonlight Assault; if it hits, Confusion follows. And that is death. But even at low HP, Julius' Mystic Arte never kills. Ever. Even if you had 10 HP when he uses it and he does 4000 damage, it'll STILL leave you with 1 HP. It's an odd quirk in the fight's design.
That doesn't stop almost all of ToX2's Enemy MAs from killing you. Victor's, Muzet's, Maxwell's, Bisley's, Stahn/Cress', Wingul's, Chronos', Nachtigal's, the Chimeriad's, Ivar's, F. Alvin's, Rideaux's and everybody in the Julius/Bad Ending's MAs can all kill you. The only one that absolutely cannot kill you is Julius' (excluding the Jude/Milla one in Ch14 cause it's automatic).
Judgment of the heavens and Tiger blade sigma are my favorite mystic arts, I can not help the emotion that causes to see all the mystic arts that are shown here.
Tiger blade stigma, the best combo mystic arts ever, I feel like the mystic art represents the bond between Jude and Milla that they forged from their journey together
If Ludger and Julius' Mystic Artes are called Ritual of Destruction and Ritual of Devastation respectively, would a Dual Mystic Arte between the two of them be called Ritual of Desolation?
I only wish that they gave Alt. Milla her own cut-in image for her Mystic/Dual Mystic Artes. Other than that, this game had some of the, if not, the best Mystic Artes in the series.

I still don't understand why Catalyst Wingul's quote for Lightning Nova was different up until he calls out the name, which is the same voice file from Xillia 1, but then they left the original quote on Fractured Wingul, but the "LIGHTNING NOVA!" exclamation was different.
Just out of curiosity, I know that Bisley uses his Mystic Arte automatically in the last fight, but does he have a different one or a different animation if he uses it during the battle?
+Nero Howlett It's a bit late now, but yes, it changes their Cut-in. For the six original party members, it changes their Status pictures as well. It doesn't affect Fractured Milla, Gaius or Muzet though.

Kikaromi Shiro Whenever that happened to me the confusion always wore off before I could get killed, since there's no one to attack other than Julius.
Boss mystic artes often don't kill in Tales games because they're unavoidable damage.
