Boil your rice separately for 5 minutes, rinse it and then add to the main pan with less water to make it more fluffy. The extra boiling and rince will remove more starch.
Great recipe but I would say avoid the foil. The cloth or towel soaks up the excess water so the pilau is never soggy. This is how I make all my Indian and Iranian rice dishes 😊
