I have ONE shirt that I got a compliment in a few months ago. It immediately became my favorite shirt and I've been riding that high ever since

I tried a shirt from Collar & Co and it’s a 100% polyester. An elegant gentleman would never wear polyester. Their jackets are a performance fabrics, which is plastic. The only acceptable fabrics for a gentleman are wool, cotton, linen and silk. Not polyester! But given how bad men dress in America where comfort is more important than style I can believe it. I can only hope these performance will go the way of the dodo bird.

I never in a million years thought I'd do suspenders, but that's my thing now. I love them, I'm probably have 10 pairs.

I always get nervous wearing white shirts - they are so easy to dirty or stain, and if i get a spill on them when im out you just cant cover it and it spoils your night/day. So i stick to solid dark shirts - makes me more comfortable and not paranoid about everything near me that can stain me.

I share the same outlook regarding white shirts. I stick to solid dark shirts as well.

My protocol for white shirts, wear only white in the most formal of events. For most casual or daily routine, wear light colors if it is hot or dark colors if it is cold or raining. White gets dirty, eventually, but the main point is to wear it during occasions when you are most behaviorally regulated according to expectations. Also minimizes the need to wash your white clothing a lot

I agree, but I also find them SO DAMN BORING. I only have one and rarely used it (maybe twice, and the last time, a button popped out just before a job interview). I like having some fun with shirt colors and textures. White cotton shirt is as dull as a Corolla.

People's perception over clothes is something that's totally worth taking advantage of. I remember a couple years ago I changed from blazers to hoodies when going out shopping and oh man did I love that, cuz at that point most retail employees stopped offering stuff to me, no more sale pushing whatsoever.

Love the cameo from GentZ. You two have had some great videos together. Glad to see the men's style community being just that, a great community. Speaking of which, gents if you're not a member of the RMRS community on Skool, you should be. It's a great place to meet, talk, and share about all things style.

Antonio, thank you as always. One thing I struggle to incorporate is my ccw pistol. I'm considering a shoulder holster for formal occasions, because appendix just looks awful in all of my fitted clothing. What are your suggestions?

There is definitely ALWAYS a dress code. Made this mistake one time at a business cocktail party and the company CEO still remembers it. If you’re wondering think business casual and I end up looking like I’m going to a nightclub. Collars and Co. has great stuff and are so comfortable.

All I can hear when someone says "performance fabric" or "4-way stretch" is plastic. I'm not gonna wear a plastic blazer or polo shirt 🤣🤣

Great video as always Antonio! I've been following your channel for a few years and I can say that I finally found my style of dress thanks to your teachings, I try to be the best dressed man in every environment I'm in, people listen to me more, younger guys treat me with a certain reverence thanks the way I behave and dress, thank you for that! Let me ask you, what about Gurkha pants? You talk very little about them, I managed to develop an athletic silhouette over the years, training at home, I'm 31 years old, I think this Gurkha with a high waist looks great, here in Brazil I've never seen anyone wearing it and when I find it for sale online, They are always extremely expensive.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the long, pointy placket on the Collar & Co polos? I'm sure they would be great under a sweater, but I don't live somewhere that it's sweater season year-round.

Nice video Antonio, but the blazer you’re advertising looks odd on you.. something is not right with the shoulder - either too padded bc you already have broad shoulders, or it’s too big.

I would recommend to just go to a quality local menswear store (Men’s Warehouse type store) that can fit your clothes and get input on clothes selection. Buying good clothes over the Internet is a bad idea.

You can be dressed neck to toe with great clothes and even great fitting, but if you have a scraggly beard and a man bun, it kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? It's hard to believe that look is even a thing.

    • @tedfordhyde

@@xXSoulKing the man bun itself is an oxymoron and ludacris. But to each his own I suppose.

Antonio - I am trying to get back into the work world after 5+ years of being out, and trying to do freelance. I am broke as can be but need some clothing sets for wearing to a new job and interview.
HOW can I possibly afford the clothing you advertise? Can you please work on some budget outfits?
I HAVE found very good deals, STUPID good deals at JosABank and Men's Warehouse by looking in their discount section. But finding shirts/ties/pants/shoes and full suits, are almost impossible for someone like me right now.
Tips and videos would be SO helpful. I will scan your videos to see if you already did this, but since I have been following I have not seen anything. Thanks!

If you have a thrift store in your city, it's a great place to shop. I have a navy blazer from Brooks Brothers for 12 bucks as some of my best finds. I also shop for shoes second hand and have seen Meermin loafers for 185. I've seen armani ties go for around 20 bucks online second hand.

Get yourself on Vinted etc, the clothing you’re looking for is the clothing people hardly wear, or only wear when dressing up. Get some great clothing in great condition for cheap prices as it’s not everyday clothing for most people.
