Thank you for your outstanding review. I have used the Triad for about a year and have been quite pleased with it. The relatively low spin off my drives tends to keep them straight yet it gives Pro V1 stopping power on the greens. Among the premium balls, the Triad may offer the best value per dollar.
Thanks Patrick for watching my video and for your really kind comment! Glad you’ve experienced similar real world results to what I have found in the studio! Agree that they are fantastic value! All the best! 👍🏼

Brilliant review, thank you. As high HC novices, we've been trialling Wilson Duo Soft (feel) and Aurora Trust (everything else) but added the Wilson Triad and, so far (consistent straight driving and putting), it's bettered them both.

As new golfers I definitely think it’s great to play the same ball consistently! It really helps so great you’re trying to get to that point already! All the best with your golf journey! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro Thank you. Yes, our research is for just that purpose but a couple of factors thwart efforts for cut and dry consistency: 1. brands regularly "upgrade" their ball model design or even cease model production altogether. The mitigation of buying a lifetime's supply in the sale leads to... factor 2. plastic and rubber have finite shelf and play lives, especially in higher UV climates, and that's before wear and tear (YT could do with a vlog on fresh vs stale vs played vs high UV-exposed balls). Like vehicle tyres, balls which appear visually intact (eg. new-in-box) shouldn't be assumed to play consistently beyond a 5 year shelf life.
@moyhennabuchanan1076 ooooo that’s a good idea for a test! Not sure how I’d be able to arrange that but that does sound like a good test! Best of luck! 👍🏼

Hi John! No problem at all! I’ve had a couple of comments saying the cover wasn’t as durable as other balls people had played so worth testing that before committing to them but I think it’s 100% worth testing them! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro The fitter at the PGA Superstore I go to, a pro who was on lower level tours until a back injury sidelined him but who can still hit 340 yard drives, is Wilson all the way. He said the Triad is an excellent ball. The cover might be a bit soft but average swing speeds won’t cause any wear.
Hi Terry! Thanks for watching and for your comment! I’ve had the ERC Soft on my list to test for a while and it’s near the top now! I’ll try to get a comparison in Vs. Triad! 👍🏼
I recently bought a dozen and loved them. For me, they performed as advertised. My only complaint was a durability issue. I bought yellow balls, and after a few holes, the paint began to flake off.
Hi Eric! Thanks for sharing your real world experiences with the Triad. Hopefully that’ll be useful to other golfers watching this video! I’ve actually started to do a bit of on course testing with the new Staff and Staff X model balls and haven’t experienced this issue so hopefully it’s something Wilson are aware of and improving across their line! Is there anything in particular you were keen to know from this data set that I might be able to find if I’ve still got the data to hand? 👍🏼
Hi Gordon! Thanks for the kind comment and for watching the video. Yeah I was really impressed. I’d never consider gaming a Wilson ball where they, perhaps, aren’t as ‘fashionable’ or popular as the bigger brands who pump loads into marketing but the numbers were great throughout and it’s at a really competitive price point in the ball market so credit to Wilson. All the best! 👍🏼
At 63 years old, I am not much of a fan of stats and data... I rely mostly on feel and performance during my game and have used almost every kind of ball on the market. I prefer a harder ball, and was mostly using Titelist Velocity... however, for some reason, they do not make them in yellow... recently, I tried the Wilson Triad yellow and am quite pleased with how it performs on the course... as long as any other ball I have tried. Very durable as well. Fits my game perfectly.
Hi Daniel! Thanks for watching my video! I’m glad you’re enjoying the Wilson Triad ball! So many people who watch my videos do comment on preferring a yellow ball so I now always look out for this and try to comment on it! Merry Christmas! 👍🏼
The spin differential you refer to, for us recreational golfer’s is absolutely negligible. Great review, I have gamed Triad since they came out except when temps are below 10-12 C then I game Tour Response balls or Duo Professional.
Hi Mike! I absolutely agree with you re: the spin being negligible for golfers like me - it’s a great ball! I also love the Tour Response! Two great balls pal! Thank you for watching! 👍🏼
Nice review, but what about the dispersion numbers? Wilson is claiming that moving the weight from the core to the outside the ball is much straighter. What did you see in your testing?
Hi EJD! Sorry I normally show my dispersion in these videos so no idea why I didn’t in this one! Sorry pal! I do remember it being a really straight golf ball but can’t remember for certain if it was any straighter than others! What I do remember is loving the ball and I’m currently testing the new Wilson Staff X ball and that’s excellent too! Thank you for watching! 👍🏼

Hi Film Them All Watcher! Thanks for watching my video! It was a good few months ago now that I filmed this review but my overriding memory was that the ball was excellent overall throughout the bag. I do always say that in the biggest variable here and I do try to keep the data on screen for people to interpret it in their own way too so if I’ve missed the smash factor on the 7 iron that’s an omission on my part but I wouldn’t let that change my overarching conclusions on the ball in my hands, in this test! Thanks for giving my channel a watch! All the best! 👍🏼
Hi Pete! Thanks for your comment and great feedback! I’ve already got a review live on my channel of the Bridgestone Tour B RX and RXS! Or do you mean a different ball? If so happy to add it to the list! All the best! 👍🏼

great video, i like the format for your ball reviews! would you prefer this to the Tour Response stripe? looks like it has more spin, wondering if you have had experience putting with the Triad?
Hi Mike! Thanks for watching my video and for the kind comment about the format! I’ve hit a few putts with the Wilson but only on an indoor putting mat rather than an actual green and I think its always hard to give a conclusive opinion when that’s your only evidence but my gut instinct was that they did feel similar to the Pro V1… I personally prefer the Tour Response over the Wilson; it’s the ball I’ve gamed longer than any ball ever without wanting to change it and where I’m experimenting at the moment, it’s the one I always go back to as my benchmark. But that’s as much to do with the soft feel as it is the performance as like you say the Wilson spins more in my hands. However if I was looking for Pro v1 performance and feel without the price point I would game this Wilson though… hope that helps! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro I'm currently gaming the tour response stripe, started with it this year to work on putting and i love the alignment aid, don't know if i can give it up, though i wouldn't mind a bit more greenside spin...triad is another good option though...i am not willing to pay for proV1.
That all makes sense Mike! I putt with a line on my ball so tried the stripe originally and really enjoyed them. The only reason I don’t game that version is that I often found it difficult to find in the rough due to the grass/stripe being similar colours. Now that more colour options are available in the UK I do keep reconsidering it! 👍🏼
Yes, a very fair test. Performance is what I see. Now, I don’t hit a driver, I hit a Cleveland 2 hybrid. I can get it out there about 210 total, playing from the senior tees. I’m 70. I do play other balls to see how they play. Yesterday I played Precept Laddie in a scramble, off the tee for a few holes. It’s a long ball, then switched to my old reliable Pro V1 (last years model) was pleased with that as well. I will play the Inesis 900 Tour today for 6, then Triad for 6, then ProV1 for 6. I may hit a Diawing, two piece on the par fives. Thanks again Luke!
Curious what ball you’re currently gaming. It would be interesting for future reviews to potentially compare the reviewed ball against your gamer and the Prov1.
Hi Joe! Thanks for the comment and for your suggestion! Happy to give that a go and see what people think to it! I currently game the Bridgestone Tour B RXS however it’s not a final decision yet - I’ve played the TaylorMade Tour Response for a few years now and it’s the longest I’ve stuck with a ball but the Bridgestone impressed me in my review and love the softness of it on short game and I’ve had some good scores with it lately. Thanks for watching my video! All the best! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro I copied all of your swing data into Excel and the Bridgestone won from your results. My swing speed is just a wee bit faster than yours. I’m going to order the Tour B RXS and perhaps the Tour Response.
Hi Joe! You might prefer the Tour B RX if you’re a little faster than me. It performed fantastic in the review, maybe better than the Tour B RXS but on the course I preferred the softer feel of the RXS and was willing to sacrifice the difference for the feel. What I would say is that my Tour Response review was filmed a long time ago when I started my channel and my swing and numbers are a bit better now. But I think all three are great options for handicap golfers looking for good performance without paying the top top prices. I do have a request on my list to film the Tour Response Vs the two Bridgestone balls and that’s coming to the channel in the next 4-6 weeks. All the best! 👍🏼
Hi Golfish! Totally agree. I say this a lot in my videos that as a 13 handicapper with a an average swing speed my content is super relatable but with that comes the risk that I am the biggest variable in the tests given my skill level. However to negate point 2 I hit about 20-25 shots with each ball in each part of the test and that allows me to remove the couple of really bad shots that would unfairly skew the data one way or the other and I do try to mix the balls up a bit to negate impacts of fatigue. It’s not perfect but it’s the best I can do. I also don’t think my swing on the day changes too much but it does from week to week so I avoid comparing data sets from two different days! Thanks for watching! All the best! 👍🏼
Absolutely! Like I said to Goldfish, I am the biggest variable in this tests and whilst I hit a lot of shots to allow me to take the best 80-90% for these data sets, there’s always a risk that my subtle inconsistencies as a handicap golfer could impact results slightly! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Hi Rik! Thanks for watching and giving my channel a go! That’s exactly why I started the channel - I was watching UA-cam videos and feeling exactly the same! Glad you enjoyed it! All the best! 👍🏼
Hi Stacey! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment. I normally show dispersion in my club reviews but in my ball reviews I don’t usually bother as I’m a bigger variable in terms of dispersion than the ball. I hit about 15 shots with each ball in each part of the test and take out any ‘horrible’ shots that I hit as a handicap golfer which would unfairly skew the numbers (e.g. a chunked 7 iron that goes 130 yards). As a result there’s never a lot in it which is why I don’t show it. However happy to share it or show it in future! Thank you for the constructive feedback! Have a great day! 👍🏼
You can buy triads for around 30e here in the netherlands compared to 50e for prov1 balls. For a player with a avarage swingspeed the triad is the clear winner expecially for your wallet.
Have two rounds in with these balls, balls scuff easily/quicker and I do not like the ‘negative’ feel. Ball does not ‘jump’ as qualified by distance loss more than I anticipated. I would say accurately reflects the quality … not a bad ball but not comparable to premium.
Hi Rick! Thanks for sharing your real world insight on these golf balls! I’ve actually started using the balls on the course before I film my ball reviews these days to try and offer more insight on durability etc. I’m sure your insight will be helpful to others so thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! 👍🏼
so that was a eggs for eggs test......my conclusion is we have to many golf snobs with a higher disposable income.......price has not compromised performance against the #1 ball in golf😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hi Jimmy! Thanks for watching! It’s as much an eggs for eggs test as I can make it as a handicap golfer. I’m the biggest variable in the test for sure but the beauty of how many shots I hit for each test is I can take 90% of the shots and give as thorough test as possible! But I agree with your conclusion and that the Triad is a great golf ball!

@@weekendtourpro I went back and reviewed the data. The Tour B RX did score better.
A lower smash factor can mean two things.
1. A slower ball or
2. You were not hitting the ball as solid (middle of the face) as the other
also the path and angle of the clubface at impact. a glancing blow will also decrease smash factor.
Absolutely! Like I said to Goldfish, I am the biggest variable in this tests and whilst I hit a lot of shots to allow me to take the best 80-90% for these data sets, there’s always a risk that my subtle inconsistencies as a handicap golfer could impact results slightly! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Thx for having a sas similar to mine. Finally a human golftest.😊
Hi Rik! Thanks for watching and giving my channel a go! That’s exactly why I started the channel - I was watching UA-cam videos and feeling exactly the same! Glad you enjoyed it! All the best! 👍🏼
The data set I'd be most interested in, that you don't offer is the dispersion. How straight are they?
In the robot test triad was the most accurate ball out of all of them , tour balls included
@terrykay7709
I can verify the robot test. They said it was the tightest dispersion they EVER tested. Definitely trying this ball
You can buy triads for around 30e here in the netherlands compared to 50e for prov1 balls. For a player with a avarage swingspeed the triad is the clear winner expecially for your wallet.
Hi Roy! Thanks for watching and sharing the information about pricing in the Netherlands! I agree the Triad is a great buy at that price! 👍🏼
