- In November of 2013 at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI, O'Brother filmed an acoustic video for the song "Absence" off of their latest record 'Disillusion' in what is said to be a haunted pool in the basement of the building.
Definitely doesn't feel like 9 years ago, and this song still feels great. In fact, it keeps sounding better and better
O'brother has got to be the best post-2000's band. This performance is out of this world.

This is painfully beautiful. I can listen to this all day. And it leaves me in awe every time, at how undescribable a song can be. I try to show other people their songs, like last breathe, and they just don't get it. Or joke that their music sounds so sad and like death. If so, I wouldn't mind dying young, if this is what death sounds like. All people hear is sadness, to think that is all they hear. All I hear is a heart felt masterpiece. I guess what people find sad I find beautiful.

True, but if you got a lot of people in the room it would really mess with those beautiful acoustics. How much cooler would it be just to break into a pool, play music and hang out with these cats. Just trading around guitars and stuff.

I forgot how much that big note in the beginning hit me and gave me chills, incredible song. I would love to be looping this on Spotify with some professional recording, if you guys ever wanted to do a special "Basement Window" vibes with this song.
