Really solid list!! Imminence is a newer Swedish band who really impressed me with their latest album. Norma Jean I think is an essential band with some killers albums. Spiritbox is very very solid as well. Great upload! Keep them coming Sir.
Great list Mark! Good to see Unearth, God Forbid, Killswitch Engage, Caliban, All That Remains, Shadows Fall, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Poison the Well.
@@jcrockandmetalreviews I was trying to fit avenge sevenfolds in but it’s been along time since I listened to their albums especially the early stuff. Cheers JC
@@MetalNeverDieswithMarkA yes it is. I suppose, technically, it could be called a precursor to metalcore. The title song kicks like a mule, and to me it sounds like proto-metalcore.
I've only heard of a few of these bands, so I got lots to explore now. Only metalcore band I know fairly well is Every Time I Die, that's because the guitarist turned wrestler.
I love me some metalcore, tho it seems a bit maligned today, back in the early 2000's it was called the saviour of metal, after Nu had run its course!...Unearth, AILD, God Forbid and definitely KSE are all Classics of the Genre!
Integrity's For Those Who Fear Tomorrow is like the ultimate metal core album. For better or for worse, they basically birthed the whole metal core genre.

@@tainted_lord87 cheers buddy. Thank you 🙏
Good picks! I never got into this genre back in the day, but I like some stuff from Avenged Sevenfold (early stuff), As I lay Dying, and a few others.

good list Mark

Spineshank for me, Height of Callousness. Perfect album.
@@chrishill7797 I’ve always considered them numetal for some reason. Is that their first album? I haven’t listened to them in a long time

@@MetalNeverDieswithMarkA it’s an awesome album from start to finish. Anything Johnny Santos is involved with is gold :-)
