      It seems like it isn’t 😊. I still like this method, because it’s easier to see which seeds start to grow. And it’s low maintenence while waiting 😀

    My litchi tree was about 30cm tall, it was planted on the ground amongst other plants in my flower garden. A new Gardener ripped it out, threw it away with weeds and was taken away with rubbish. He said he thought it was a weed amongst the flowers. That was 2 years ago i think it would have grown much bigger now. Ive planted quite a few seeds hope they'll germinate. From SA .

    This is one of the most charming channels I've ever come across! The golden watering can reminds me of Animal Crossing. I subscribed! Also in China we say lychee as "Li zhi" or 荔枝,which is most closely pronounced in English as "li jih"

    I live in Mexico, and I planted my liche (that's how we call it in here) in mid July 2021. It has grown very well, its height around 70 cm by now. Choose the first method directly into the soil of a medium pot. At first thought it won't grow anything at all. But almost after 2 months it started to grow. Had already repotted it into a huge pot, the weather is great in here, but since I live in an apartment I can't planted it in my "concrete" garden lol.
    I do hope to see more of your progress of your liche, and best of luck pal!

    I live in the western US and planted some lychee (I’ve heard it both ways 😅) in my apartment in cactus soil about 2 months ago and my seedlings are about 3 inches tall now! I wasn’t expecting them to do so well. I keep them very wet (about 7/10 on my moisture meter) and keep them next to my window and will until winter comes and use a grow light.

    ❤🎉 hello from Greece! I'm trying to sprout some lychee seeds. I use some aloe Vera gel in the hydration of the seeds. I found out that it helps all sprouting seeds. Oh! Pls check for our winter melons at Evros north of Greece they will thrive there at your region. And a small tip for your avocado tree sometimes you need to cut some high long branches in order to be strong enough to grow fruits. And check the moisture in the room and the soil Ph. Love your channel.

    • @NordicPlantLover
      @NordicPlantLover  6 місяців тому +1

      Hello! Cool method! Do you put aloe vera on the seeds and then plant them in soil, or germinate in a bad/container?
      I have never actually measured soil ph, I think I should start doing that for best health. Thank you! 🙏

    I once tried the Lychee myself some years ago. My plant also made those reddish yellow new leaves but when they matured they turned dark green. Sadly the plant didn't live too long. It was about the size of the bigger one you have. I guess the nordic winter conditions in an apartment with dry air and insufficient lighting was too much for it. In Finnish we call it litsi.

    • @NordicPlantLover
      @NordicPlantLover  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you for sharing your experience! It helps. I will have to give them some extra light when winter comes :). And also, sorry for your loss, but for each plant we loose, we also tend to learn a thing or two hopefully.

    Hi! How often do you water it in this early stage? Before it grows a little above the soil? (And after too, I am really bad with watering, i do too much or too little everty time!🥹) Thank you!❤

    • @NordicPlantLover
      @NordicPlantLover  8 місяців тому

      Hello! Before it starts to grow, it needs very little water, BUT it needs moist soil. So water often, but with just a little dose. Maybe every 2-3 days. When it grows a bit, the same applies but maybe 3-4 days. This is just an estimate, it all depends on heat, sun, size of pot, size of plant. You have to try and see what works 😊. Thank you for watching!
