- Solo to a song hopefully to be soon relesed . Also a quick test of my new .strandberg* Boden Standard NX 7 Natural. Very nice instrument like my previous .strandberg* guitars. The new NX features are a nice improvent over the older models.

One thing I really noticed in person…..
I had been practicing to get better at shredding and sweeping, and then when I held a strandberg and did the same exercises, the note articulation really punched me in the face. I couldn’t believe it was me. Something magical about how those necks are built.

hey man what do you think of the pickups in this one? As far as I understand they are the Strandberg factory ones? Do you think swapping them out would be better?
I was planning to swap them out but I actually like how they sound so I will most likely keep them. They do the job well enough for me. If you want extreme clarity, then maybe swap them out. I personally have had zero issues dialing in tones I like.
@@SausageFingers1 awesome thank you for the response my guy. It's very disappointing that they cut corners here. I remember getting my Boden 6 for the same price, 6 years ago, they came with some epic seymour duncans in, it's a shame that we have think about maybe swapping PUPs out of something so expensive.
Do you think those pick ups work well enough for progressive metal tones? I'm hoping I don't have to swap them!
@@KhydroDjent If you check my channel there are a couple of full songs recorded with these pickups and some older shorter videos with my old non NX standard 7 with the same pickups. I'd say they do the job about as good as any non boutique tier pups would but take a listen and see how you feel!

What tone are you using?
Fractal FM3, I think I used one of the Mesa Mark amps and some Bogren impulse.
It’s my first winter with my Strandberg and I have to do some MAJOR fret end filing - probably the worst of any guitar I’ve owned. Other than that, I love it.
Sorry to hear that. Fortunately taking care of fret ends is simpler than, say, leveling them! Are you liking the Endurneck?
@@SausageFingers1 It only took a few hours to get used to it, but I like it! I’m going to have to keep playing for longer to really figure out my long-term preference. Great playing by the way!
@@thomask9577 For me the Endurneck has been great, I feel it helps me play with less effort. Feels natural. Also, thanks for the compliment!
