    Have the same bike/same year only in black. The day I bought it I did almost 800 kms on it...very comfortable, no issues. I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs and I find the reach to the bars and the foot pegs ideal for my size. I have the stock seats which for me are totally adequate, but I wonder if the Mustang driver's seat moves you slightly forward or not (?)...it appears that it might. Three things that I have found improved the 'look' of the bike: removed the square sticker on the rear fender, replaced the heavy rectangular mirrors, and installed clear indicator lenses with orange bulbs. Congrats on keeping your M50 nice and clean...I do the same. Enjoy.

    Thanks Timothy for the review. Bought a 2009 black/white last year. Wanted a windscreen and saw your national cycle deflector screen.Looks great on the bike! I know what to choose now!

    It's 2023, and I put a 2009 C50T on the road this year. I'm loving it. There is discussion about how the bike rides at speeds of 70mph (115 KMH ) and higher. I have seen three vid here on YT that you can clearly see that they are riding at speeds of 70 and higher. One guy rams it up to 95 in one video. But almost all the rest of the videos here on YT that have a go-pro driving video, they are keeping the speed at 60-65 and less. And I think that is on purpose. I have found that I encounter wind buffetting, or turbulence, that is very annoying, just as I hit 70. I am going to try a fork mounted wind shield/deflector. It seems to help out for any cruiser with buffetting. Now typically, a lot of speed limits are 65 MPH and lower. And country roads are 45 - 55 MPH. So as long as you stay to the roads for those speeds, you are OK. My little problem, is that here we have a 70 MPH turnpike limit. but its treated as the entry level speed, as most go higher, always.

    the most important thing is that it fits you and you like it. I have a Vulcan 900 and it just fits me right, I've owned a Yamaha Virago 535 which I loved for it's light weight and power to weight ratio. Then a Honda Sabre 1100 which I loved for it's smooth power delivery and bigger over all stance. I planned on buying the 1500 mean streak - but after riding it - I just didn't like the way it felt.

    Are the back seat rest and side mounting brackets Suzuki products? I love the look of this bike as you have it.

    Very beautiful bike. THis is what a mid size cruiser should look like- classy! Good review. In the market to buy decent cruiser that will be rode within city limits.. THis might do the trick. Am even considering the Storm, but gawd its a monster!!! :)

    I'm in the process of purchasing a 2009 M50. Then I read on another review that the motor for this bike was discontinued and the motor on the newer models was replaced with the same motor as the C50. Now I'm wondering if I will be able to find parts for this bike. This is my first bike so I am really not knowledgeable.

    Is this bike okay for a 6'1" foot person?

      Same, but I have to lean forward to control the handlebars and it hurts my lower back after a little while. Wish I had bought the less handsome C50T.

    I recently bought a 2005 and really like it. My only complaint is that the steering feels VERY heavy to me. I'll admit that the only thing I can compare it to is my 2011 V-strom, a totally different animal.

    Does it really vibrate? what happens if you go faster than that? and top speed? i wouldn't expect that kinda issue from a
    Suzuki to be honest...

    • @TimothyDorcas
      @TimothyDorcas  5 років тому

      peter phoenix yes it vibrated quite a bit. Not so much on my larger bike. Very stable

      Been riding my 2009 black and white ("skunk" because the white is on top) M50 for six months and 3500 miles so far. Beautiful ride up to 62 mph / 100 kph, then the vibration begins in the foot pegs , handlebars, and seat. Pretty bad by 70 mph, ridiculous by 80 mph. Doesn't matter if I have my windscreen on or off, vibration is bad.
      I have a 6 foot, 5 inch wingspan, but I still have to lean forward to control the handlebars, and my lower back always complains after 15 minutes of riding . I have a set of two inch risers coming that install UNDER the built in risers . There is supposed to be enough slack in the cables and brake line. These risers are from the Shapemaster store on ebay.
      I tried RoxFX adjustable , 2 inch risers , but the handlebar mounted speedometer completely blocks their use. So I'm lifting everything from below with the ShapeMaster 2 inch risers. It should be a big help with M50 comfort . ShapeMaster has a lot of testimonials on ebay.

    I wish these bikes didn't sound like ATV's, though. Don't get me wrong - I have a 2006 & 2007 (Boulevards) and I really like them. Also, I don't really care for the ear-splitting sound of HD - but, damn...can a guy get more than a four-wheeler sound out of these things?
