Jamila is a treasure! I love her so much! I’m so glad she talks about this because things can be so toxic for women in these situations! 🎉

This woman is so toxic. What if girls want to wear those outfits because it boosts their confidence? What if they want to spend an hour in a gym following a detailed plan that’s getting them results?

she’s just saying that you don’t have to, she never said you shouldn’t if you want to

Ditto @parulsanjiv7734 - and the statement "What if girls want to wear those outfits because it boosts their confidence" is predicated on an audience that you are consciously or subconsciously trying to impress in the first place, in order to feel good/confident. A healthier alternative for (especially young) people to be cognizant of, is to dress only for yourself.
This naturally leads to a non-sexualized and non-superficial 'comfort over style' dress sense. Such a detached state of mind is more likely to lead to a healthier sense of self regarding body image and psychology in general. This is Jameela's point.
The same points apply to e.g., high schoolers genuinely feeling good about themselves if they are seen as popular, cool, and sexy due to extra time dedicated to their own looks. Only later in life do they realise how it was all superficial and unhealthy despite it making you feel "confident" at the time.
