- She started in radio, but many probably know her as Tahani Al-Jamil on “The Good Place.” Lately, she’s gaining attention for speaking out against body-shaming. This is the life of Jameela Jamil.
Indian father and Pakistani mother. Dang her DNA can be used to achieve world peace.
She doesn’t speak to her mother .......look her up on Twitter Shireen jamil
@Kristass_id same person. She fought against the six month reporting period for domestic abuse.
@@florencehodbale9142 whos her father though. Is he the one who was abusive to her mum.
@@ganeshshenoy2615 Father was obviously. It's prevalent in the community from South Asian men. You can literally google her name to see pictures of her beaten up face. South Asian men need to do better.
@@kitkat299 well domestic violence is everywhere whether it is United States or United Kingdom. Men of all countries should keep a check on them.
For those who have not seen it, 'The Good Place' is absolutely brilliant.
She's the best...became a fan of her after "the good place" series...
Y'all forgot to mention SHE WAS THE ONLY celebrity to mention the condition of Trans people and their rights in India during the PRIDE month. When no "star" from bollywood (Except UA-camr Bhuvan Bam) gave a shit about it that month, an amazing personality like her highlighted it. ❤️
This is the feminism we all need where no one can ever try to restrict us to our limits and after all the hardships ,still rise like a phoenix.Kudos 🙌
This isn't about feminism I think
@@pritichandrakar1612 Don't always link feminism to feminine development. It speaks about equity.Nonethless you can take it the way you want to. No offence ..😇

Jameela Jamil is so inspiring. I wish to become like her someday.
I adore you, Jameela. And the fact that you're dating James Blake, makes it more amazing. 💟
Her Character in The Good place and her acting is so good.
her name literally means beautiful, beautiful
SHE'S AMAZING
What is body positivity..she had a body in which she was criticised..then she looks this fab later on..so I'm a fat person who wants to be fab and fit too..for myself....and I'm not happy in my current body shape and working on changing it.....so random people on the internet.. AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING HERE?
You should be able to love yourself irrespective of your body type. If you wanna lose weight that's your choice and if you don't wanna lose weight that's also your choice. What shouldn't happen though is you feeling pressured to lose weight by society. Do it, but only for yourself. Losing weight will not make you love yourself. You should be able to love yourself unconditionally because no matter how you look people will always find a way to attack your self esteem and tell you that you need to change. You aren't just your looks or your body. You have an essential human worth that you'll always have even though we've been conditioned to believe otherwise. Love yourself.
She still has stretch marks and cellulite. She bought shakes and other products that celebrities advertised because she thought that eating or drinking those would help her lose weight but it damaged her body and her digestive system because they contain laxatives which are not good for us at all. So she's saying that all these weight loss products should not be bought. She also developed an eating disorder, which she struggled with for several years. Body positivity is knowing that all body types are natural and beautiful and not judging or shaming anyone for them. It's letting women be. Ideally yes, you should lose weight because it's good for you and you'll be healthier. But oftentimes it's really difficult and we aren't able to do it, and that's fine as well. Your self worth and confidence shouldn't be tied to how you look, you should love yourself regardless of your weight and know that you deserve the best. There is no guarantee that if you become thin you'll start living yourself, so first work on your confidence and self love and then if you think you want to become thin then work towards that.
Hi, I have no idea what those people wrote. But if you are not comfortable physically and mentally in the body you are, excluding other people's opinions then the body positivity would be toxic. Like you are reassuring yourself that you don't need to be working out (to be healthy). I did that. But then I realized and thought it was for my own health if I workout to stay happy 🖤🖤
If you're not happy then change it. But for yourself, that's the most important part(I was embarrassed when I tried losing weight over a dude that didn't remain valid in my life a few years later). And I suggest you do it SLOWLY at a healthy pace. Don't harm your body by starving yourself and setting unrealistic body weight goals. I've been there once, starved myself, ended up with side effects and gained weight again. So the next time I tried I did it a kg a month 🙃🙂 body positivity comes with a healthy mind too. So love yourself and tell yourself you're precious sis 😊
You should just be healthy Gloria. Mentally, emotionally and physically. Physically bcoz your cells and body love you you can love them back. You choose your 'healthy' not what's portrayed thin or what the weighscale says your healthy. Love♥️

And yet, she hasn't posted one plea on her Instagram to help India. Woman's literally commending some 19-year-old popstar for a photoshoot the world is obseSSED with. Like sis, focus on the elephant in the room here please?
I think it's difficult to fight against all problems in the world at once. One step at a time. That's why she is focussing currently on problems women have in general, I believe.
That ad for weight loss so funny
Tahani
She is a bad ass
Please do a video about Trevor Noah

Information is wrong. Her mother was white.
