Unless HSR has some kind of party cost mechanic like FGO or maybe some kind of "cheaper cost to use" like arknights, 4 stars will always be either a downgrade or a placeholder for their 5 star counterpart. In FGO, running a lower cost unit has a benefit in which they can function in their respective role without just sacrifing an empty slot because you usually can't run a team of full 5*. In arknights, 4* are cheaper to deploy and for some basic stuff they can usually be better than just using their expensive 5* or 6* counterpart. But in HSR there's no limit or ceiling, you can use full 5 stars team which means 4 stars doesn't even serve a purpose in the first place. Just like how hanya is a placeholder until you get sparkle, misha until you get jingliu, or lynx/nat until you got huohuo. Even tingyun will probably get replaced at some point
However, you have two teams in a lot of modes, so even if you have the premium option on one side you are also given another option. Even if you have an E6 Sampo, you have reason to pull and use Black Swan, but if you have BS, you have no reason to use an E6 Sampo instead. Also, there's the factor that most 4*s don't perform reliably before E4 or E6, and some still perform averagely even at E6, while many 5*s perform very well even at E0S0 (and probabilistically speaking, it's much easier to get a Limited 5* in 80-90 pulls than an E6 4*).

And there is also how Gallagher can spam his skill to get his ult up much more easily than Lingsha. I don't think Misha is a Hanya just yet, but more of a dying Qingque, meaning good dps for a 4 star but will eventually die out. I've seen a lot of Misha builds that have dealt as much as and even more damage than QQ or JL (granted they use sparkle or robin) with just about 80 to 140 crit ratio, in the teams that i've seen (and used) there have been other four stars beside him like Pela or Tingyun. And also Misha isn't unused, alot of people do post videos of clearing MOC with 4 stars and Misha is one of the best to clear aventurine with, he deals great damage if used properly and I don't think was necesarilly supposed to be support in the same way Welt is now quote on quote a "sustain" Overall this was a good video, but don't put slander on my man Misha, he aint fully useless yet.
What happened to Misha? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He's always been an mid to bad character and that only got worse after the DPS standard went up a level with Acheron, Boothill, Firefly, etc. His kit always seemed like a shredded puzzle to me, as if they'd sliced everything up and scattered it around so as not to give him any more useful abilities. Like, why does his Ultimate only have 20% base chance to Freeze and he has an A2 that increases that base chance by 80%? Wouldn't it be easier to just give his Ultimate a 100% base chance and create a more useful Ascension ability? This is something that is repeated in several characters, but Misha is the most visible case for me.
Ice has a bad rep in hoyo games for some reason lol. They always make it good at the start and after a while it just becomes meta irrelevant. Jingliu is barely holding on, and we know what happened to Yanqing.
All im saying is he'd be so cool and pull worthy if he had an unique ultimate system like Acheron. His biggest problem is his passive and ultimate. Either one of them gets maxed early and the other one doesnt. So, imagine him having a clock on his ultimate and after 12 skill points (like the 12 houre on a clock) his ultimate activitates. I think it'd make him more fun as a 4 star. Proove me wrong
misha was made to be a 4 star acheron(being an ult nuker and having his allies help towards building that ult nuke) but when acheron actually released, everyone forgot about him, not to mention his ult is a bounce attack hitting random enemies like jing yuan's lightning lord and we all know how viable he is
Why would you spend pulls to get a jingliu anyway in a post acheron boothill firefly yunli feixiao world. Misha does fine as a 4 star dps and honestly performs better than Jingliu versus current moc aventurine because dice phase is a super rough counter to transcendent state for jingliu.

I don't think Misha is a Hanya just yet, but more of a dying Qingque, meaning good dps for a 4 star but will eventually die out.
I've seen a lot of Misha builds that have dealt as much as and even more damage than QQ or JL (granted they use sparkle or robin)
with just about 80 to 140 crit ratio, in the teams that i've seen (and used) there have been other four stars beside him like Pela or Tingyun.
And also Misha isn't unused, alot of people do post videos of clearing MOC with 4 stars and Misha is one of the best to clear aventurine with, he deals great damage if used properly and I don't think was necesarilly supposed to be support in the same way Welt is now quote on quote a "sustain"
Overall this was a good video, but don't put slander on my man Misha, he aint fully useless yet.
Herta 5 star ,want misha
My Misha can hit 1 or 200k damage in normal play. I don't think he's that bad. It's harder to get higher numbers, of course, but it happens.
I mean, you can just play 4 star DPS when you feel bored
How much effect Hit rate would be ideal for him as a freeze sustain at E0? Just curious.
I forgot he exists
The character everyone downplays because they don't have him lol.
Oh you don't know? he died
Mika
Misha 5 star version or Wriothesley rerun banner ?
Misha being a worst jingliu and you already know how mid jingliu is lmao no wonder no one play him
I use Misha
Nobody gives a shit about 4 star dps, not to mention there’s a 5 star ice dps
Two words Arlan theorem
7:23 "they could just pull a hoyo Classic and make super freeze"
Dissociation and deep freeze: we are a joke to you?
misha was made to be a 4 star acheron(being an ult nuker and having his allies help towards building that ult nuke) but when acheron actually released, everyone forgot about him, not to mention his ult is a bounce attack hitting random enemies like jing yuan's lightning lord and we all know how viable he is
Just pull for a jingliu if you want ice destruction who even uses him😂😂
Me
just one problem
i started hsr after jingliu banner so how do i get her
Why would you spend pulls to get a jingliu anyway in a post acheron boothill firefly yunli feixiao world. Misha does fine as a 4 star dps and honestly performs better than Jingliu versus current moc aventurine because dice phase is a super rough counter to transcendent state for jingliu.
