      That is what I was thinking, so if I had to take a guess I would say maybe 1500.00 I mean consider the state troopers were there not sure exactly how that was treated as a "cop call" or how. If it was the cop call might have been a little cheaper but the rig is totaled either was which is sad. But everyone got out safe and alive and that is what is important when something like this happens. Equipment can be replaced, human and animal life can't.

      Recoveries like these usually go much higher than you think . I’m a heavy tow truck driver and I charge $10k for something like this . A lot of time goes into this and bringing in a crane is more money

    3:05 Looking good, but this other wrecker needs to be further back with boom up to do what it is now... hmmm... Then pull up to bank.. I'm guessing by my own experience there will be lots more done here. Pretty smooth. Nice finish. The laod was everything in this one. Must've been empty. Thumbs up.

    Apparently, "Ace Towing" has no clue what they're doing. In the first part of the video, the cable is coming off the boom at a huge angle & trying to roll the tow truck. Had the boom been facing the back of the van, a couple of huge snatch blocks used and a triple or quadruple line pull been used, that one tow truck would've been more then adequate to get back up to the highway.

    • @mvd2321
      @mvd2321 5 років тому +1

      Good comment. Not sure I agree on that single truck being able to pull the entire rig up that bank. But, I too was very surprised to see that operator on the down hill side of that tilt. Recipe for disaster.

      Especially from Ace Towing, they overcharge for everything.

    • @philsmidwestclassiccars150
      @philsmidwestclassiccars150 7 років тому +4

      OK Dude why do they over charge? Look dude, they showed up to a shit head who drove his truck & trailer into the lake. They tried to get it out with what they showed up with. It did not work. Call in the heavy artillery. Anything goes. They were able to retrieve the trailer on this day. Codes to the recovery crew who ever they wore. You know once you showed up at the scene, it was more than bargained for. Charge the company for every penny. I like to fish. If I could not fish in this lake because this driver could not control his truck while passing this lake, O.K. Cut him some slack. But charge the shit out of him.

      Actually I'll bet its about 90% salvageable and in decent shape with all things considered.. a water damaged bunk area and the electronics system shot. I've seen them smack trees, boulders, freight scatted all over the road and a total wipeout. I would like to see the freight and if it damaged though.
