Glad to see the new water valve installed.Back in the early nintys I was atHendrick motorsports and had a chance to stand outside of their dyno room, they had two big mufflers the size of semi truck mufflers coming out the side of the building and the sound of a small block Chevy at about 8500 rpm was incredible also laying outback was a pile of blown engine blocks, some of them were spit right in half.I am sure you can't go there and see that now days.
Thanks Nick and co. - Last night I was watching a documentary which had a snippet of this particular white car, really flying along the road. Really moving, I wouldn't have known it Was Vanishing Point if not for here.
Had have a friend who bought one those back around '72. It was a HOSS! Came by the house needed help changing plugs. My first time under the hood. Found out real quick couldn't remove two middle plugs either side due to suspension towers. He took it to local FORD dealership. They pulled engine to change plugs and replace fuel pump.
Plugs can be changed if you are creative with ratchet extensions and u-joints. If the dealer told you that the engine had to be pulled, they were yanking your chain so they could charge you.
Oh my lord Gotta love a fast Ford With Nick's Garage on a Monday you're never bored Ha I see a Beemer on the lift Those old E30's were great to drift This Shelby Cobra Jet from 68 is hands down great for goodness sake Packed it in tight that 428 I love a joyride put all worries to the side Nick drives quick and he's sharing the vibe This car is rare Thanks for the share!

We replaced the Carter 4bbl. with a slightly larger Carter carb but kept the original intake. It breathed great with a real throaty wide open, it was impressive. Nick, just wish I could invite you out to witness a test cell run on an F-16 F-110-GE200 motor. This engine in Full afterburner will gobble-up 16,0000 pound of fuel in less than 10 minutes. The fuel supply line for this amount of thirstiness is 3'' in diameter. A top fuel dragster drinks like nothing compared to this bad boy lol. Standing out on the test cell floor with this amount of power being produced (Apx 34,000 pounds of Thrust) blasting out the back of the motor the ground floor quite latterly is buzzing underneath your feel like a vibrator buzzing on the bottom of your feet. The beautiful 30 foot flame out the back of the motor has 10 distinctive rings that can be seen in the flame for each stage in the afterburner section. An amazing piece of man made mechanical machinery for sure. Prayers go out to all of the Left Coast CA, OR, WA,
@@harrynutsackk Well after you converts pounds of fuel to gallons fuel weight then add 370 gallons for each wing tank it will come out to about 16,000 pounds and then for a little more you can add 190 gallon center line tank. I'm also talking about running and engine on a test cell with no aircraft attached to it just like Nick is running his engines without a car attached to it. Ive also retired from the Air Force 20 years ago and trying to remember those numbers from 20 years ago is not the most accurate numbers either lol lol lol.

The numbers stabilized I forget at what number but the Check out Instructor in the back seat just laughed and said. No nothing is broke it is just reading the amount of fuel you are burning up
@@harrynutsackk I don't know where you live but if you get a chance to watch a fighter jet take from a base someplace at night you will notice that they only stay in Afterburner on take off for at the most 15 to 20 seconds because of that fact. The F-22 is so efficient motor wise and airframe wise that it doesn't even need AB to make it through the speed of sound only MIL or military power as they call it is needed which saves a tremendous amount of fuel usage.
I think the Mustang exhaust sounds great. I don't know what it is, but so many cars with dual exhaust these days sound like someone is beating on the bottom of a metal trash can.
