If you actually did a little more research on Greta Van Fleet, you’d learn that they actually just have the same influences as Led Zeppelin. Also both Kiszka and Plant had to find a way to push their voices in order for it to be heard over the bad sound equipment. Resulting in them sounding the same. Also sounding like one of the greatest bands of all time isn’t exactly an insult. Robert Plant himself even gave them the thumbs up.

@@AllThingsTop5 yeah, but you said things that weren't true and acknowledged them as fact, which is just gonna make more people hate them. GVF have stated many times in interviews that Led Zeppelin was definitely an influence in their music, just not the only one. A lot of their influences were from the same bands that influenced Led Zeppelin, and that's why they have a similar sound. And on their new album, imo they've got very much their own sound with songs like "Age Of Man" and "Watching Over" and a lot more on that album. They've also had several Grammy nominations, and are selling out large arenas so obviously not everyone hates them.

The thing about Coldplay and Maroon 5 is that there's the lead singer celebrity star and then the rest of the band who we never pay attention to the rest of the band. Unlike bands like Metallica or Guns N' Roses, where not just the lead singer, but the Guitarist, drummer and Bassists are also legendary that we know who they are and how good they are.

Maroon5 actually used to be a good band, when they had some funk and soul. Coldplay is a boring, anonymous, sleepy little band that isn’t worth caring about either way. I actually love GVF! Nickel back doesn’t deserve the hate they’ve gotten over the decades. There are a few songs I like. Imagine Dragons is crap and they always have been!

Nickelback have the capacity of making really shitty songs while in the same album they’ll have one of the best songs I’ve heard in my entire life. Sister sin always comes to mind, your betrayal part three, she keeps me up, and Where from their first album (listen to the version in the curb, not the Ep cause that one is just awful). Nickelback is a fascinating phenomenon, honestly I’m a bigger fan of them as a concept more than their music, they’re fascinating to study. I agree, they’re overly Hated but I think that without the hate we wouldn’t be giving them the attention, and they might be less know within our current pop culture if it wasn’t for the hate, and besides, they don’t seem to mind it much (except that one time in Portugal) .

Believe it or not, this video made me like Coldplay a little. I am not a fan of Coldplay, but the lead singers acknowledgment of the fact that they are not good just makes me like them.

Sorry......your list is almost perfect but Greta Van Fleet shouldn't be there. I don't care who their inspirations are but they bring it. If the lead singer's voice reminds us of Robert Plant....then so be it. He can sing at a level most "rock and roll singers" can only wish. And the musicianship is there as well. I love the list except for GVS. But I'm someone who respects other's opinions.....so please respect mine.

I was in the car and a terrible overproduced autotuned "rock" song came on i was discusted and had to turn it off turns out that was Imagine dragons
also another day on the radio i heard a song, it sounded like robert plant in his younger years, sounded like jimmy page, I thought what? did they release a song together outside of zeppelin or is this zeppelin? I was really confused because it sounded like 70s music, but also it didnt

I don't like maroon 5 because the only good record of them is the first one and they have only two good songs on it. Coldplay was different. I liked their 2 first albums and then they just repeated themselves because obviously they had nowhere else to go. When they changed to dance/pop I was no longer interested but good on them. the rest of the bands are alright in my opinion.

@@pinkled4429 Zeppelin literally stole music and lyrics from other artists. Rather than own up to it when called out on it the rights holders had to sue for credit and royalties. This wasn't "hey it kind of sounds like this song" it was the exact music and/or lyrics. It's hypocritical for Plant to complain about it.

My dad and I are big into rock, we play guitar and bass, play in bands, you name it, we listened to a lot of the GVF catalog to see what bands the song was most similar to. They’re more similar to The Rolling Stones and GNR in our books, we consider nickelback grunge and the rest aren’t rock bands at all. Though to be fair some of their songs are fun to play on guitar

"do people just hate these bands because they are popular?", in my case the answer is no, its not just because they are popular, its because they are low quality and popular despite that. Its not that i dislike nickelback themselves as people, i dislike the public and their appreciation for nickelback, or whatever terrible popular band in general, the public made hacks succesful, the public has bad taste and therefor they create a market for bad music/media. for example, if someone can make millions of dollars with some generic fruityloops beats and some played out rap lyrics half-sung over top, as opposed to putting their time, effort and heart into learning a musical instrument just to end up busking on the street for a few bills and loose change, theyll take the easier route and make low quality rap. so basically i blame the public for creating an incentive and a market for bad musicians/"artists" due to the public's terrible taste in artwork. if the public had standards and good taste, only good musicians/artists would become succesful

When it comes to Led Zeppelin, lets just say, they borrowed heavily themselves from other artists.
My dad and I went through most of their songs to see who they were most similar to, they were more similar to The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, GNR, and Queen then to Led Zeppelin. Though it’s good to see the rock torch carrying on and them coming from my local area (I often visit their hometown)
