The best way to deal with angry strangers trying to give you directives is: 1: Totally ignore them, just turn your back on them and don't engage, don't go towards them or their vehicle to engage them, just ignore. 2. If they are being particularly aggressive/hostile or persistent you can say something like, " please leave us to do our job, if you think we are breaking any laws then feel free to call the Police." and if they keep mouthing off at you after that just use the phrase...." okay, I'm finished talking to you now"....and then carry on with your work and ignore them. People are often just looking for a reaction/engagement and a confrontation, if you give them none of those things they usually just give up and go.

I always laugh when I see guys like that angry driver. He got out of his car, walked all the way up to you guys, and the moment he runs his mouth, talking all tough, he turns and walks away. I suppose everybody’s entitled to a bad day, but Why go so far out of your way just to look like a total weakling.
