I have had mine for about a week. A lovely turntable. It totally crushes my digital source, A Esoteric Sacd player. And that kind of shook my world. I was not prepared for that at all.
everybody wants a technics, but whitout the "dj-buttons" ,and now i'm going to buy 1 to ,a sl-1300g ,why didn't they do this earlier .... this is how it must look for a hifi furniture, greats from Belgium
It looks great, but so close to SL-1500C. One can barely see the brass layer with the mat on. I wish it was more visible on the side as well. Like in SL-1000R.
Ridiculous. Make a SL-1200 GR2 and a SL- 1200 G without out the speed controller and charge less money. So the turntables with the speed controller are superior. Really stupid on Technics decision making.
@@vinylrules4838 Im just disappointed the they made the MK7 lower quality than say a mk2 or mk5. It should be of higher quality actually. For example it's too light, the pop up light is flimsy, the buttons feel cheap, when super clones have even better buttons. It's just silly. They need to make a new Mk7 but of the same quality as Mk2. GR2 is more for hi fi use. not good for dj
I keep my SL 1200MKII 45 yrs old and still rocking!!!!

I would love to demo these honestly. I’d like to hear the difference between the old Quartz decks and these newer models. Thanks for posing!
Going up from a GR1, the G seems next step.

2 layer construction on the 1300g. Bottom layer is lighter than the 1200 gr.

Curious where it’s made - Japan?
Technics moved production to Malaysia
@@Matasky2010 Too bad

They know exactly what they’re doing- they just added a new price point with a deck that many people were waiting for.
@@Matasky2010 Yes, but it is not as good as the model with the speed controller. Screw Technics, buy the Dennon. It looks better anyway.
