I literally went through all my yarn a couple weeks ago and reorganized, that’s when I decided to do yarn eating projects to get through at least half my stash before I allow myself to get more hahaha any recommendations are highly appreciated
Shirt/skirt or pants set? If the yarn isn’t long enough for all it could be granny squares, patchwork, free form, or just joining up at the ends so that it would look unique.
Love that I had ads for michaels, Joann’s, and hobby lobby while watching this. I think it’s super important that different cotton yarns feel so different from each other. I avoided using cotton for years bc I don’t like the feeling of lily’s and assumed it would all feel so stiff. That hand dyed yellow cake would make a cute bucket hat!
I'm interested in seeing what you do with your random 1 skein yarns. I'm always looking for ideas with what to do with my random extra skein of leftover yarn!
Lion brand has its own ebay shop and the prices are sooo much more affordable on there. I bought a 3 pack of 24/7 yarn for less than $15. And free shipping! I plan on getting more truboo and trying nuboo through there. 😁
Hey erin If you have time in your schedule please may you do an interchangeable needle set review mainly the one in your description. I think a lot of us would benefit from it . Thanks in advance
Lily sugar and creme sucks. Its terrible to work with but once you wash and dry it, its amazing. You can double strand it and use it to make a cute basket
Yes! This is the video I've been waiting for. Thanks for showing us some of your most precious treasures😍 I re-organized my stash a few months ago and sold a big box of yarn I just wasn't feeling anymore. I felt so much lighter and more excited about the stuff I kept. I feel wool gets a bad rep in the US. We have some really nice and soft wool here in Europe. Not just merino :) The yarn you showed for debate is called a 'donut' shape. There's this infographic with like 8 or 10 different names for yarn forms. Some other forms are called cone and bullet skein.
thanks! I actually got my yarn in several different places atm because its so so so much too much :D ! i was even thinking of swapping room with the children to get the bigger room for some more place for the yarn to put :D
Hi Erin love the video! I've been going through my yarn stash and the bits and pieces I've been making hats out of them combining the different colors that you normally wouldn't match and they turn out really gorgeous. Have you considered some of the Yarns you said I was thinking about donating or throwing away to do a giveaway with them?
i gasped when you said you bought the yellow hand dyed cake of yarn from a yarn shop in redlands because i know of the city!! if you don't mind my asking, what yarn shop was it?? i'd love to take a visit and see what yarn they have to offer!!
Always satisfying to go thru the stash. I only shop at Hobby Lobby when they have clearance yarn. I don’t feel bad about giving them 1.99 for a 6.99 skein. Otherwise yeah, I don’t shop there.
I also thought that Truboo and Nuboo were equally environmentally friendly, but they actually are not. While Truboo and Nuboo are both made from sustainably harvested bamboo pulp, production methods of the particular material do come into play in considering their sustainability. Truboo is rayon, while Nuboo is lyocell. Lyocell is a more environmentally friendly form of rayon than the traditional rayon used in Truboo. Here's a short fact sheet comparing bamboo linen, traditional rayon, and lyocell from the Natural Resource Defense Council. www.nrdc.org/sites/default/files/CBD_FiberFacts_Bamboo.pdf
Rayon (the truboo yarn) is actually not sustainable...yeah, they are made out of plants but so many chemicals are added to look as soft as people like that after you are done with it is not biodegradable. In my opinion, it's sustainable if it's made ethically from natural fibers and at the end of its life can be biodegradable.
I’m going to crochet a temperature dress for my graduation next summer. Do you have any recommendations for a soft, lightweight yarn that has a decent color pallet??
hello, I love your videos, you are a amazing person, could you do a video on the basics of knitting as you do for crochet. Thank you very much.thank you l❤️you
If I were you I do a giveaway of any yarn you don't want there are some of us that don't have a stash that would be very great full to receive the. I'd like to see a giveaway of the yarn you no longer want.
I think I'd call it a donut! Like that in-between cake-ball :D

Lol yea I’m the same way. Only used acrylic my whole life cause the cotton I saw was terrible for wear. Now there’s so many great cotton options!!

That lil bit left of universal yarn would be cool in a mixed medium macrame wall hanging :) it’s sooo pretty!

If you are donating them, I would gladly pay shipping and some for them! (If you haven't gotten rid of them yet!)
