Thanks for all the comments everyone! Any requests for future uploads? I'll see what I have.
I remember playing this game when I was 6 years old. me and my brother played this game like crazy over and over again. those were the good old days.
same
i played with my sister nostalia af XD
Same here
Same!! 👍🏽
i just lost my Dad last week. We use to sit and play this game for hours on end all the time as a kid. Loved playing co op with him and fighting all of the bosses. Thanks for uploading this, gives me a little memory to remember him by.
Looking at this as a 20 year old, it looks so easy to play. Back when I was like 10, this shit was so fucking difficult. Thanks for this, mate.
Oh man! The nostalgia I'm getting from this video. Used to play this game ALL the time, absolutely loved it.
Just ordered it - couldn't take it anymore lool
The tank graveyard said in memory of those who perished in 1978, which is referencing the original space invaders, which was made in 1978. I love that little easter egg.
Same.
My uncle and I use to play this game when I was little. Miss him so much..
What happened? Did he die?
If they remade this version of Space Invaders for PS4, I would definitely play it. I would only hope they'd clean the audio a bit. The music's a tad scratchy but still badass.
I'll let this baby run in the background just for the music and sound effects which bring me to a state of happiness and peace like this game gave me all those years back as a kid.
I absolutely love the soundtrack. I remember playing this game in my childhood!
aaaa its so weird to see this and remember it all, i used to play this with my dad when i was like 4 and now im 18 ;-;
Sentient Android; I had a similar experience that you had with this game. I found the midis, expect to hear the music on UA-cam in high quality soon.
By similar, I mean almost the exact same.
The ps1 intro was soooo nice.....
It’s so nostalgic
Great to see how many others played this with their Dad too
"in memory to those who perished in 1978"
Thats a reference to the original game
If you listen closely at that part, you can hear the Atari 2600 version of Space Invaders.
@@DeevDaRabbit Are you talking about the beat? Yeah, it does sound like the Atari version.
I loved this version of space invaders I played it with my brother and sister for hours on end
Nostalgic Burst
I played this when I was a kid. Had not even thought about it in probably fifteen years or so.
Awesome version of this game. Everything looks more 3d than the Nintendo 64. And I love the intro and the ending.
Played this game with my dad as a little kid on PC. The memories and feelings held just in the intro itself, oh my goodness 😭
i fucking loved this game!!
Good shit man brings back so much nostalgia
BRING THIS GAME BACK! It need to me remastered noowwwwww!
Awesome intro. Had to check it out after seeing the still screens on N64.
I remember playing this with my dad. This was THE FIRST game I ever beat. I was like 3 or 4 years old. And thus, I, to this day, am a Space Invaders Freak! My favorite is Space Invaders Extreme 2.
This guy completely threw on the last boss lol this game use to be my fav
Me and my brother used to play this game so much when we were little my uncle left his ps1 at our house when he stayed with us with this game
I was very late to this game but when I was small me and my dad booted up the ps2 and played this all day
Nostalgia… also the sound the bosses make is WIERD
sooo nostalgic
Love this version.
Mars boss was the best by far
I love this.
I remember seeing the final boss as a kid thinking it wasn't possible to beat
I loved this game on my ps2
my favorite game space invaders
The nostalgia is real
I still pop this bad boy in every once in a while it's really easy except Mars stage I once made it to the final boss without dieing then he threw a skyscraper at me that ended the perfect run😂
ooooooh that starting sound is awwweeeesooomeeee
I have played space invaders on the PS3 and for me I would love 3D
major nostalgia right now
This game is 20 years old... I feel old, and that makes me sad, despite the fact I am not even that old. Happy 20th Birthd- I mean Birthyear, Space Invaders Activision (That's what I call it to avert confusion.)
Also, Space Invaders Extreme 2 turns 10 this month (March) in Japan, and this fall (October) in the U.S.. Just thought I'd point that out. It is my favorite in the series, after all.
Me and my mum used to play this for hours!
just finished playing this ^.^
i can never get threw the last boss unscathed
Best game when i was a kid. Along with Crash bandi
And who remembers that gollum creature game ? Kinda like a platform
I want this game on my gaming channel!!! Thanks for your gameplay!!! Cool video game - SPACE INVADERS!!!
Who whatched the entire video smiling?
I can't. I have played this game hundreds of times. I still love this series to death.
That was amazing a good game space invaders.
the final boss traumatised me
God I miss my PlayStation
What a classic 😊
So after all this time, you're telling me the point where I got stuck on was the last boss? I'd no idea.
Well it was Earth lol took me a while but beat it eventually
Is there anything similar on PS4?? 😁
Now watch, as I shoot upwards, THROUGH MY OWN SHIELD!
he's a madman! A MADMAN!!!
Omg I was so scared to play this game when I was like 5 years old lol but I made myself play it
Using the cabinet art for the final boss was an interesting touch, but it was so different from the other bosses...making it flat, but still bipedal, was a bit much, though.
I want this game.
I have the N64 version. Bit of a shame the graphical stuff and music was cut down a little in comparison to the PS1 version (though it runs faster), but still an awesome port. I beat it even in Maniacal. Very fun game.
No cap this shit was the badass version tho of space invaders
Love this game
activision used to be known for space invaders then call of duty was like we push you even tho we brothers a little
A awesome game I`d love to get this
It ain't that expensive.
I remember playing this, but it was on the computer
Quinton Hale, This was released for N64, PC, and PS One. It was GOING to be released for Dreamcast, but that sadly didn't happen. Just imagine: This game with better graphics and with 60fps capability... That would have been awesome.
Also, I feel sorry for you, as that version is poorly optimized.
Here after netflix's Highscore documentary!
space invaders in 1979 was pixelated and looked more like aliens and now look at this robot ships in 3d
GUI Opinion, This was a remake. The original was released in 1978.
Where’s Venus and mercury? And the bonus level! Or are those only on higher difficulties? God I miss this
Mercury isn't in the game weirdly but Venus was. That was the planet with the kamikaze invaders that dive bomb the ground when you shoot them.
@@vgnavigator9373 in the version I had as a kid, once you beat earth, you could continue on a few levels, and mercury was certainly in there, large asteroids were the boss, and then there was a bonus level on the mothership. Try playing on maniacal difficulty, I think it might be locked out on the lower ones
I had this game for my PS1. The one thing that I hated about this version of Space Invaders: when you reach Alien World, there is a glitch in the game that causes the game to freeze up! In the Game Boy Advance version of this game, certain planets have the wrong aliens, the music in the game is wrong, certain aliens will give you the wrong power-ups, Earth, Mercury, and Alien World have the wrong alien bosses, and the Shifter aliens from Alien World are called "Trappers".
+Dustin Nunn The Alien World thingle happens with my copy; maybe just a glitch with the copies~
+Dustin Nunn always thought game freezing was because of disk being scratched guess not
pal
Well I'm the same and like I said this hasn't occurred with me (Fuck you google I got the notif 9 months after this fucking comment just why?)
Dustin Nunn, The GBA version is more considered a remake than a port. Things were changed, some due to hardware limitations.
I wish i was a pilot of that tanks!
also the earth level I think was either based in Japan or China I don't know. which is it in or is it based somewhere else
+Joey Robinson Probably Tokyo, the first home of giant monsters~
+Sai Kisaragi ah ありがとう
+Sai Kisaragi thank you is ありがとう (arigato)
Joey Robinson I'm not good at being good at japanese~
I see.
I played this lot on n64
OMFG!!!!
this is just like atomaders.
gotta admit something the second boss was a b***CH to kill
The second boss!!!?
fuck that, it was Mars for me.
Meh true :/
The Mars one once you know their pattern then it can be easy
Yeah, that 2nd boss back in the day was just the biggest run killer for me and my brother. If you lose your powerups at all good luck killing it easily.
I'm sorry but the only challenging boss is the last one. Mars boss has a shot pattern and you just shoot the three evenly so they get destroyed around same time I think each took like 25 hits or so each the lvl is hard but only the final boss is hard
Still looks better than that garbage recreation on PS2!
High five.
I love the gameplay but the cutscenes don't appeal to me at all that's the only bummer
your good, I mean really,
It's an easy game really even the ships are placed so you can keep getting the special if you can read the color scheme quick
na ay ayam mi mt atoy
The game play looks cool but the design and music are generic 90s techno garbage. Awful remake, but at least Taito threw a ton of Space Invaders games in Taito Legends Vol. 2
Mate this was late 90's the rave scene was massive at the time and had massive influences on games of the time. I love the breakbeat techno influences in this, makes you feel like you were actually in space as a kid
