I truly hate this. I also hate all the Harassment from Alchemy & Cabot Arms. I waited almost 3 months, for them to stop. Now the police are involved and we are going to show & tell all we know about Alchemy Arms & Cabot Arms. The Truth Must Come Out. Cyber Harassment & Cyber Hate is real. I bought an Acw from a gun shop that changed some parts and the gun was never fired. I sent it in and Rob called me and hooked me up putting everything how I wanted. Rob himself actually worked on the gun and it came back fantastic. Its curious why Rob is on his own now.
I heard he walked away from them. Good luck with your ACW. I own 6, but I am starting to sell them slowly.

@@timothyelwell2624 The owner of the channel wanted the videos marked that way. The Customer Service & Customer Treatment went to shit the last year. They were trying to fix half the guns we purchased the first 2 years, and then they started missing things that were ordered like the front serrations on the slide as explained in this video. This did not all happen in the first 4 or 5 pistols. We tried to work all this out with Alchemy Arms & Cabot Arms.Then we were Cancelled by them. Our mistake I guess. Lesson learned.

I have been extremely happy with my Les Bear pistols, colts, Wilson’s and springfields. Honestly I’ve had good luck with Kimber rifles and pistols. My best shooter is a ruger and a bull. I bought the Ruger when they first came out and were $550 I like it for that, but not the 1k is goes for now. I think Springfield is about the best and for the buck.

Sbardella makes beautiful top quality guns. The finish reminds me of the finish on a blued Colt Python from the 70's.

It is a sad day when a manufacturer can not take criticism & worse resort to this kind of shananigans, particular when a individual has to pay $ 5000+/- for 1 .!!
For that Price I Expect Perfection nothing less , if you Can't run with the Big Boys stay Away from the Big league, that would be my humble opinion.‼️
Some people can't afford these prices but I bet that if one could save up for one of these dream 1911 they would do so on the preface that one is buying Quality. And to get burn on a gun at this price is infuriating to say the least, so keep up the good work for those out there saving and aspiring for one of these High tag 1911 and knowing that you would only Recommend the Best ❗ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This may seam an out of characters for a "Gun" type forum but God has Warrior too, Guns (1911) in this case are not only for what their apparent purpose were made for, but also a tool for aim and entertainment purposes, one that can be use for self defense and that of your loves ones, and in this case your yourselves a Collectors item one of class art/form function and mechanical beauty. I can see a fellow that is for example an electrician saving some $ for that particular 1911 that one day his grandchild would inherit, so there is a value in you in your words and in particular your Son. You thought him well should be Proud of him for his heart is on the just .

Thoughts with Standard Manufacturings 1911? Got one recently as my first, should mention I like Sbardella Arms but the price hikes been discouraging for the upgrades you guys got at what I found an appealing price point. Wilson’s got the reputation for sure so I’m definitely eyeing up one from them!
I own 3 and we have an update video coming on Standard Manufacturing. To sum it up I love the Hi-Gloss Blue 1911 and the HPX is a very Solid Pick too. Those 2 are my absolute favorites as of 2023. Best, Beretta Sr. 😎👍💥💥

The grip safety on my $800 Springfield is better than that $6k Cabot. It really shouldn't be, at that price point.

Thank you for posting. I am looking at a retirement gift to self after 33 years of service. I decided on a high end 1911. My issue is that they won't ship to my state. I get that a couple states or "Commie States" as they listed on their web page make things difficult. BUT other high end manufactures do offer models. That mentality isn't punishing the crazy politicians, or those that vote for them but it punishes the gun owner/ potential customer. When hearing this, glad I found a different company.
First, Thank-you for your service over the years and I really mean that. I stayed with the Sheriffs Department for 23.5 years and I retired at 55. You are 100% correct that the Custom 1911 Manufacturers as a whole are not all Top Tier in Customer Treatment & Customer Service. Half of them show they do not give a Rip about their customers after the sale. (Cabot, Alchemy Arms), We have a bunch to check out on our channel, and I hope you pick out a great one for yourself. If you go with a Les Baer, or Nighthawk the Government Size is our favorite. Sbardella and Wilson Combat both make fantastic Government Size and Commander Size 1911 pistol. Best of luck to you Sir.

I am looking at either Nighthawk or Wilson Combat. I figured I'd add a nice custom leather holster to go with. Perhaps some laser engraved grips with badge and service years.
Watching your channel and some others I have found that most of the custom /semi customs will shoot far better that I do :) but customer service at those prices is paramount and definitely expected.

I purchased a Les Baer Hemi a few years ago and absolutely love it. Thought that I wanted to save up for an ACW prime elite…..not so sure about that now. Sorry to hear about your experience with them. For the amount of money these custom shops charge, there should be zero issues with the firearm.

I only own one automatic. Its a s&w scandium 1911pd. I have only otherwise shot a Taurus, which ran with zero issue, but it was so heavy. Considering my regular carry is a 4" 686...
How much better are the customs, really?
If you do not see a Major Difference from a S&W 1911 and all of these Custom 1911 Pistols, then you are right where you need to be. No reason for you to change at all Bob.

I agree completely. Full Transparency is important in this category as it is in all categories. A Super High Price doesn’t give them a pass. It should make them want to do the best in the industry. Alchemy Arms & Cabot Arms fall well short of this goal. The Harassment is just unbelievable and continues as of today 6-3-2023! Not stopping, just unbelievable and sad for sure. Where do you place Dan Wesson / Ed Brown on this scale of custom?
Dan Wesson isn’t a custom, it’s a high end production 1911… (with rusty hammers on the non duty coat versions) we don’t have any experience with Ed brown past handling a few in gun stores (and we haven’t been impressed)

You can’t get that under cut melt on ACW. That’s a Cabot only option. I’ve already asked. Best part is the acw websites first picture is them checkering under trigger guard. They don’t give that as an option and won’t do it.
I ordered it to be melted by the GM "The Head Gunsmith at ACW" himself. He okayed the "off the menu" option and I was charged for the "Custom" feature that isn’t present. That’s the facts. - YB
Much appreciate the info you shared showing how the the cabot and alchemy guns were not put together very well. I'm just curious why you bought 7-8 guns from them before figuring out that these guns were poor.
We are kinda big 1911 collectors. We own Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Springfield, Alchemy Arms, Cabot Arms, Smith&Wesson, Sig, Magnum Research, Nighthawk, and more. We thought the ACW and Cabot Quality would improve over time, and we were interested in owning several of them.

Hey guys what was wrong with the Dan Wesson specialists you put not recommended on them
Rusty hammers (non duty coated hammers) & bad customer service.
This appears to be really bad press for Cabot and ACW. I’ve thought about picking up a Quantico with the dlc exactly like young beretta but that’s a hard pass for me now. Good to know that rather than fix the issues, they’d rather invite you to never order from them again. A very poor reflection of their customer care.
I agree 100%. Just a sad & pathetic way to do business. The Cyber Harassment is off the charts. All this for a “custom shop” Alchemy Arms & Cabot Arms can do allot better. I hope they will improve. Thanks very much for watching & for the comment.

ACW deserves the bad press. In case you missed my post, here it is again, so you can see what they did to me...
I was on a 1911 forum that will remain unnamed, and had ordered an ACW Quantico and already had it fully paid for.
About 4 months in on the wait, several guys complained about issues with their brand new ACWs, so naturally
I was concerned about their current level of quality in 2023 and made several comments about it. I was attacked
by their psychotic fanboys and Nick the sales guy found out and didn't like me questioning their quality and emailed
me that My Order Was Canceled and a that full refund was on the way, and that I was "Fired As A Customer." He did this
without even talking to me by phone or anything. Anyone considering an ACW should really think twice before
doing business with them. They are arrogant, thin skinned, and cant handle any type of criticism. (especially Nick)
I highly recommend Les Baer Custom and Wilson Combat, their pistols and customer service are first rate.

I remember you guys liked Dan Wesson and then had some issue with rust, I believe? What is your current opinion on them now?
Get the Hammer painted or finished in Black and you should be good. Out of the 8 DW that I owned, I had one very bad Customer Service issue, and finally they fixed the problem. Only sent 1 out of 8 back to be fixed on the Dan Wesson’s. We have sent 4 out of 8 Alchemy Arms back and 1 out of 2 Cabot Arms 1911’s back to be fixed. So 50% sent back on those two 1911 shops.

Don’t mean to jump in without the invite, but I have a Dan Wesson CBOB I’ve been carrying for about 2 years.
I had hammer rust issues in the beginning, but was given advice on a product called EEZOX. Since using, I haven’t experienced any rust since.
Just thought I would throw it out there.
Is the polish on that sbardella standard?

I had to send mine back for similar issues to Cabot. I like the pew and got fast service, but I had to send a 5k Cabot back to fix broken parts.
We are hearing more & more of that with ACW & Cabot Arms Quality…. Or lack there of. I hope they try to improve from all this. We personally sent back 4 out of 8 custom pistols, or 50%. That is just terrible for quality problems.

Smith &Wesson revolvers are crap? Idk. I dont own one. I wanted one because the new Colt Pythons are crap. Which revolver would you guys recommend?
We are pretty frustrated with Revolvers overall. We have a couple of Smith & Wesson‘s that are good, and we have a couple of Taurus Revolvers that have been good. We also own a Ruger LCR that has been really good. I put a larger Blue Grip on my Kimber K6S, but I do not know how it will hold up long term. There will be a video coming up on the Kimber & the Grips.

Interesting. I haven't gotten into 1911 ownership yet, but I had just decided that an ACW Quantico was going to be my high end model eventually. However, in the back of my mind I still understood that dedicating most of your selling point as "hand crafted" kind of leaves you open to, well...being judged on your hand crafting. Plus, wow, even the Cabots? Seeing this many quality and fitment issues is a no-go for that.
Not only that, but hearing about the customer service was surprising. I wouldn't want to deal with a SINGLE ONE of those issues, both CS or QC. Not for that price and supposed company slogan.
Guess I'll have to go back to focusing with my entry level choice of Bul Armory in .45 ACP, whenever I get it.

Being Honest with our opinions is very important. I warned Young Beretta that being 100% Honest with what pistols he no longer recommends on our Channel could bring the Crazy People Out. I really enjoy your videos and you telling us the truth about these 1911s. It had always been my dream to have a "decent" one. I finally bought a Dan Wesson Vigil 3 years ago which I ended up selling last year when my dog got very sick and eventually passed.
Since I only have a couple polymer handguns I live vicariously through you guys watching this channel.
Once I recover from vet bills I will eventually save up for another 1911...likely a sub 1K this time. Maybe a Ruger SR1911 but I guess I'll just have to see what's available at that time.
Anyway keep doing what you're doing and don't let the haters bother you. The rest of us really appreciate your work and enjoy your channel.

My dumbass has been wondering what you guys ment by "not recommend" in video titles, good to know now. I have luckily not had the issues with S&W revolvers you guys unfortunately encountered. Are some of the "not recommended" guns better than others?
Dan Wesson 1911’s are good IMO.
Earlier S&W Revolvers pre 2015 & I like Kimber if you find a good one… QC is a bit hit & miss like ACW Arms.

As I have said before, I do not enjoy this at all, but if we had terrible customer service & horrible quality issues on 4 out of 8 “Custom Pistols” Then almost 90 Days of Cyber Bulling & Harassment!! We could not remain silent any longer. Surprisingly others in the Comment Section have also had similar issues. Strange indeed.

They are Just not hitting the Mark for $5,000 or $5,500 Dollars. We did purchase 2 at full retail price. Most all of them had issues of something or another. Moreover,
the constant Harassment the last 3 months seems severe to me…. Just because YB put “Not Recommended.” I think we have 8 or 9 ACW and Cabot pistols over the last 3 years. We will start selling them in 2024.

That's really unfortunate that there are people out there who would stoop that low and harass you guys on your honest opinions based on your experiences with their products. When you're dropping several thousand dollars on a fully customized and decked out 1911, you expect everything on that handgun to be perfect and as you wanted it. If that falls short and/or it turns out to be a lemon (as every manufacturer occasionally has one once in a blue moon), as that manufacturer (regardless of who it is) and as a highly reputable manufacturer at that, they should make it right and honor their commitments to their customers to address/correct those problems/issues.

It was a tough & very expensive lesson for us. Cabot Arms and Alchemy Arms are Poor Overall in almost every category. This is after owning 8 of their products. Stay away, stay far away!! I don't own any "real" custom firearms. Spending that kind of money, I'd rather get a firearm from lesser "quality" with MIM parts. You've invested a lot of money and should get the quality. Cabot and Alchemy Custom should be ashamed of themselves for poor workmanship, but most importantly for their childish attacks and threats against your channel. Sometimes people get butt hurt when you're honest. Keep up what you do! 👍💪

That is too bad about the poor customer service that you received from acw and cabot. For that kind of money spent they should have done whatever it took to make things right. I have had great customer service from magnum research, ruger, smith and wesson, sig and remington. I received sub par customer service from beretta usa because of their stance that accuracy of the handgun is not a warranty issue, 92X was shooting 6” low at 12 yards. I do own a Italy made Beretta and its quality is top notch, shoot at 12 yards to point of aim.

People affiliated with a company you criticized that are threatening you are clearly going over the line. Depending on the nuances of the threats, perhaps a complaint should be filed with the FBI.
Interesting stuff and good to know. I've only owned a Springfiled and Remington Rand made in 1943, both functioned just fine and with fmj and hollow points. I had assumed at those price points you would get everything perfect. Buyer beware! Do your research I guess. I enjoy the channel guys.

Hi TRP, we are getting more and more statements from people who have been mistreated by Cabot and Alchemy Arms. They are clearly VERY POOR AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We have also clearly stated that we have had issues with 4 out of 8 “Custom 1911” pistols from Alchemy and Cabot or 50%. That is a huge percentage of pistols that had to be returned to the manufacturer. This is a bigger percentage then I have seen in our 135 pistol collection. More then anyone… Ruger, S&W, Magnum Research, Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Glock, Sig, Walther, Beretta, Taurus, Double Star or Standard Manufacturing. To name a few for comparison. Bottom line: Alchemy Arms & Cabot Arms should be a HARD PASS for Reliability and have terrible Customer Service… Just HORRIBLE! Thanks for letting us know about your experience too.
