I find it really annoying that Yamaha continue to allow demo videos of this guitar from as far back as November last year, but there won't be any stock here in the UK or Europe until April at the earliest. Why?

Just got one today.l have a few more expensive guitars from the big 3, but this guitar flatout has incredible tone. I will be using it mostly in open tunings. I had been eyeing it for about a year. Glad l got it.

Doesn't matter. Neither sound great. It's that plugged in sound..which is great, but its' not an acoustic guitar sound. A martin, gibson, taylor with a mic blows these away but the feedback battle. I think fingerstyle guitarist have figured it out.. with the fishman power tap and earth combo things they do they sound the best. Look up Jon Gomm or Marcin's higher end ibanez guitar demos.. that setup sound WAYY better, and they weren't even trying to figure out the strum sound lol maybe modelling tech will merge with this stuff and improve a lot! they sound great, but nothing like an actual acoustic guitar. I like the piezo sound sometimes, with singer songwriters it works.

Great tones man! Believe it or not I just snagged one of these up at my local pawn shop for 140 bucks! They has the trem system all mouse up so it wouldn't play. I brought it home and set it up and it's brand new, lol.

I just bought one a few days ago ! I love the sound and playability. Amazing sound with the clean tone . I just need to figure out a decent light distortion. I play through a line 6 spider 212. Can’t seem to dial in anything yet that sounds impressive.

Is there any way to clear the last over dub if you wanted to erase that but keep the original loop going?

The alternative color option is for color blind people who may have a challenge determining red from green.

Gary Moore owned the original Peter Green Les Paul the longest. The neck on the original was broken at least once. Apparently Peter Green never carried it in a case. Moore installed the mismatched control knobs. Glad to see it's still being played. I own a couple of older Korean Epiphone Les Paul's. A standard cherry 'burst and a black custom. They are quality instruments.

The Ultra is more twangy and traditional sounding the Ultra 2 is softer more mushy. I'll go with the Ultra.

I've used one for more than two years now, the blue one. Fantastic bass for the money. I mean at this price point I haven't tried anything that beats it. Weight is a bit short of ten pounds, mahogany body. Sounds very warm and it's got "mwah" can you believe that? The neck is super comfortable and Yamaha uses it on all models of the TRBX line, 300 and up. On the downside the B string is flabby and doesn't hold its tuning very well, so I'm converting it to EADGC and I just can't wait.

I don't know why they made the finish virtually indistinguishable from a 3-tone. The wood looks way too red around the black part. Not at all how Fender advertises the 2-tone

Put a set of wls130 with locking tuners and you can abuse this thing without being out of tune, trust me 😄

The expensive American Pro sounds a tad “spankier” than the Affinity. And I like spanky Teles. But for the price? Hard to beat the Affinity. I feel like Squier is getting better and better, and Fender is going downhill just a bit.

Am I the only one who's got the feeling that the song at the end distorts and clips a lot? :( Otherwise the review itself is pretty good. I'm curious how the direct + mic combination would have sounded if you'd panned the mic recording to one side and the DI one to the other.

Out of all the small beginner acoustic guitars, is this your pick? Im an adult, but I jave short trex arms, full size always seem so bulky to me. Like i could make it work, but smaller seems like its be more comfortable. Also on the smaller guitars with nylon strings, is the guitar ade to where you could swap out to steel?

I love how guitar companies will do anything to their affordable guitars but what people want. Don’t use a nitro finish, just make coil splits, same thing right?

Gain is basically controlling amount of compression. They are really designed to go through full range/PA system but can be used with clean guitar amp or in return of effects loop but definitely need external eq units. All the 80s Rockman stuff was for full range amplification. Hopefully MXR will release more Rockman pedals soon! Bob Cedro who worked for Scholz is now with Dunlop so hopefully more is coming!

do you actually have them in stock, like you can put your hands on them? I searched a full day, had to cancel some orders and finally found one. I live just west of ftw, didnt figure anyone local would actually have one in stock

Love the tonal versatility of mine, but it’s brand new and needs some work. Neck needs an adjustment and I’m pretty sure when I upgrade the nut, I’m gonna find out the stock one was cut too low.

The Bridge pick up sounds better on the Fender, but not hundreds of $ more.
