Dang I was hoping for just a barrel and a spring change keeping the cost down even more. Basically had to buy everything else except the trigger group.

Yeah when you try to swap parts out you end up with almost a complete separate gun, mind as well complete it imo

Depends on what calibers you swap to. Also, since. The trigger group is the gun you don’t have to do background on the other stuff…

ALWAYS remove the magazine BEFORE locking the slide to the rear and visually and physically inspecting the chamber. This ensures that a live round is not inadvertently chambered should your hand slip while locking the slide to the rear.

My thoughts exactly. Why would you remove the ammunition source (magazine) AFTER racking the slide?

people always make this joke but they have to do it for liability issues; there are too many people that just do what the youtube video does and if the video doesn't explain the risks or proper procedure, then the user might fuck up, and when it comes to guns, it's a much more dangerous fuck up

@@ChefThatShoots the barrel specs would not be the same as they are different calibers that don't blend like in some cases with .556/.223 so basically a new upper kit

Just as he did here, you can too. The only exception is for .45cal, otherwise any fire control unit can mount into an frame+slide.

I'm pretty sure you can - however reliability might be an issue with extractor, springs, etc. I've heard most people say that if you just want it for a range gun, that a barrel swap should be okay. But if you want to carry that 357sig, you should get the caliber x-change kit.

for a system that is called "modular", this isn't modular as far as im concerned. Just a swap of slide and/or barrel and spring should be all you need to change it from 9 to 40 or vice versa. use same mag, "gun" and lower". I was hopeful, but not extremely let down.

yeah. i agree. i was hoping to change the slide. barrel, spring, badabing, done. its almost like assembling a new gun. The only difference is, the trigger group assembly is the gun. The conversion kit is not a gun.
