I’m a Queenie. I adore this band! Thanks for reacting to them. I saw them in the 1980’s and was mesmerized! Try 1976 Hyde Park as Freddie hypnotizes a riotous crowd by singing his latest: You Take My Breath Away. The beauty he conveys is otherworldly!❤ This band always gave 100%!

Queen were perfectionists who always wanted to give the fans 110% and they were great musicians. I think it is sometimes overlooked how well they could play. When they started touring North America the tour was so long it would take it's toll on Freddie's vocal cords. As Peter "Ratty" Hince (their head roadie)said the booking agent would get out a map, a blindfold and a set of darts and make sure the tour is in the winter. Freddie got vocal cord nodules during the 1975 Night At the Opera tour so occasionally he would have to count on Roger to hit the high notes. Chief Mouse has a host of bootleg Queen concerts on his UA-cam channel. Japan 1979, I think, Freddie's voice was hoarse. I don't know what concert is was but Roger started singing the wrong verse in "I'm In Love With My Car" and stopped singing so Freddie jumped in and sang until Roger picked it up again. It's hilarious. Freddie got drunk with Tony Hadley before the only show they did in Auckland but it wasn't recorded. On the Day At the Races tour Freddie had to cancel a couple of dates just before I saw them. He had 5 days off so his voice was excellent again. Love your reactions! The encore at the Rainbow is great. Big Spender and Modern Times Rock and Roll.

Best band ever!! Greetings from Greece
The day Freddie died i learnt about Queen because of my brother reacting to the news.
I was ten,my brother gave me some bootlegs to hear.
Since then i bought everything they released and i have some of them in different formats.
I always think that Freddie's death was like a supernova explosion that made a lot of people learn about them like me.
The only thing i can say is that their music and character made my life better, more beautiful and myself as a person better also.
    Thanks for the reaction

Spread Your Wings official video was recorded the same day as We Will Rock You in the backyard of Roger’s newly purchased house. He didn’t even have full ownership yet. It was winter and they were cold and cranky. Freddie was trying to keep warm with a bottle of Brandy and got drunk. He had to throw up in Roger’s bushes lol. Freddie couldn’t play the piano so John had to with his Bass around his neck. It’s funny watching Freddie try to drag the mic around. Brian wouldn’t subject the Red Special to the elements so he is playing a different guitar. Toward the end Freddie starts swinging his mic around. Amazing he didn’t hit John haha! I believe this is the same day they signed a new contract in their manager’s car in the driveway and got quite hefty checks so they were also celebrating that.

This is one of Freddie's amazing qualities, no matter how fast or slow the song is you can understand the words he is saying😊 You are right, his pronunciation of words is good. This band is so talented. Can you please feature 1. Love of my Life at Wembley or Rock in Rio and 2. You take my Breath away at Hyde Park. You will not be disappointed. Freddie is a very talented person that is difficult to describe in just one word❤ Thanks for featuring Queen again. I also like that you give comments after the video. Great job!👏👏👏

Queen is such an amazing band with four brilliant musicians, three of whom are great singers. With this in mind, whenever Freddie struggled vocally (sometimes they were booked for more shows than Freddie’s voice could sustain) you will see Roger Taylor jump in seamlessly and take on lead vocals. I cannot remember the exact date but there is a video from one of the shows in Japan where Freddie was struggling with “Don’t Stop Me Now”.

Well, and on that note, Freddie having vocal difficulties is, to me, a different topic... not lackluster performance or "not feeling it". They ALWAYS pushed for an "A game" performance, they were known for it, so it's hard to find dull Queen performances. But perhaps the 1982 Hot Space tour when some of the band didn't enjoy the material as much as others? Though don't count on me to cite specific examples, I can't quite get my rose colored glasses to come off... ;-)

Hanover 1984 Freddie fell down some stairs in Hammer To Fall 🙃 and busted his knee. He finished the song but had to be helped off stage. He returned to the piano and the band played all the numbers that could be performed with him seated. Only poor audio exists of this concert. Love you Freddie.❤️ GOAT

If you've been liking this kind of songs you totally have to listen to 'Liar' Live at the Rainbow 1974. It has one of the best live guitar solos ever! Also, John Deacon the bass player has a solo too. It would be interesting seeing you react to that!

I can't think of a bad Queen performance. There are performances with a little voice crack or messing up the words but Freddie is so damn charismatic and the band plays so well that it's still a great performance. They mess with each other too. On the Saturday performance of Another One Bites The Dust live at Wembley 1986, Freddie goes to the piano to get a drink and towel before the song but Roger wouldn't let him and went right into the song, catching Freddie off guard. That is all caught on camera if you want to watch that one. Freddie's reaction is hilarious. I'm sure it's payback for something Freddie did to Roger. Cracked me up. It's a great performance too so even if you know the song, it's worth checking out. Great reaction, guys, thanks!

I saw Queen about a dozen times - from the 1970s to the last time at Wembley in 1986. They were incredibly consistent, totally professional and just fantastic. Not a bad show amongst them!

Great reaction! Thank you. I'm even more impressed with his pure, clear vocals when you consider his overbite. Before I get attacked here, an overbite can affect speech patterns and clarity. (s's and z's for instance). But not for Freddie. He is all about precision in regard to diction & pronunciation.

Thank you, great reaction...you need to react to “Liar” live at the Rainbow...amazing performance...in 1974, Freddie was 28.... Brian was 27......Roger was 25.....and John Deacon was a mere 23 ...such an excellent bass player🤩since you are musicians you may be interested in: One Vision Documentary ( the 20 mins version is the best).....the making of We are the Champions (about 10mins)....a rehearsal for Live Aid and an interview with the four of them before Live Aid....enjoy the journey!🤩

Great song! Here are a few. Now I’m Here, live at Wembley 1986. There are also multicam videos for this same performance for Roger Taylor and for John Deacon. This is Roger’s toughest song to perform. Also, Dragon Attack, live at Montreal. You will love all of these.

The problem with looking for “not the best” performances with Queen, as with most performers I would imagine, is that the recordings have had their ok and/or have been remastered. They must have had off nights, but because nobody had phones to record them they are lost. You might be interested in watching the whole Montreal ‘81 concert with the running commentary by Brian and Roger, or some of the “making of” videos that are out there.

I feel bad for Freddie during Love of my Life when the audience isn’t participating much because they were told not to so not many were singing. You hear Freddie say “they don’t know it” and Brian replies “that’s alright”.
