    I just bought this machine(2023) and am going to try it out.. My former machine was a Krups automatic.. A big machine which I used for 17 years.(and gave it away to another family., still in good shape) Now this smaller machine, seems to me even more useful and looks very smart. Making lattes is as easy as always for sure : first creaming up the milk in your glass and than the coffee on top.. No problem in my opinion...!

    Awsome review. And thank you so much about the latte art comments, I thought I was just really bad at it :)

    Hello.
    QQ. Which one do you recommend the most. Delonghi Dinámica or Magnifica starter?
    My priorities are temperature (like very hot water), flavor/intensity and basic coffees (expresó. Brew and americano)

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  Місяць тому

      Either would be great, but the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo with the frothing wand will have a 1 touch americano!

    I keep hearing that the buttons are programmable, but nobody says how to program the buttons, and I don’t see it in the manual. We are used to a larger cup of drip coffee, but this makes a smaller cup. Is that one of the programmable features? Could we make a larger cup of drip coffee, or would you suggest going through two cycles in order to facilitate that? We just got the machine yesterday, so I’m still trying to learn all I can! Thank you for your help!

      Hi Tammy! Here are the instructions for customizing the length :)
      1. Place a sufficiently large cup or glass under the coffee
      spouts (A19);
      2. Press (B8) to select the required strength (see section “13.4 Temporarily varying the coffee strength”);
      3. Press and hold the icon corresponding to the coffee to be
      customised. The icon flashes and all the alarm lights flash 4
      times;
      4. Release the icon. The icon flashes and the machine starts
      delivering coffee;
      5. As soon as the coffee in the cup reaches the required level,
      press the coffee icon again.
      But just note that the coffee this machine produces is all espresso based and it will not produce a drip coffee!
      Happy brewing :)

    Can you customize coffee intensity. I mean make it more concentrated?

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  2 місяці тому

      You can! You can adjust the grind size as well as the strength :)

    So torn between white and silver. The white is gorgeous but I think silver would go better with my other appliances.

    I'm debating if I should get the Dinamica Plus or a refurbished Jura E8. I've heard mixed reviews regarding De'Longhi's reliability and customer service. Is there anyone who's owned one for an extended period of time that can speak into this? Thanks in advance!

      I've owned a Delonghi for about 7 years now. has been working flawlessly. can't speak of current quality but considering a new Delonghi machine myself

    would you say this is a good choice for someone who has a small space, and primarily wants coffee, espresso, and americano - with the ability to add frothed milk? we aren't really into lattes or more milk-based drinks.

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  2 роки тому

      It is a good machine and a nice choice. Also look at the Jura Ena 4 (just does coffee) and the new Smeg Superautomatics. We have videos on those also

    Maybe a silly question - could someone tell me what the machine is doing when I press the regularly 'coffee button' (not the long coffee or espresso, just 'coffee') is it shot of espresso with hot water?

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  Рік тому

      It is similar to a long espresso really. Water continues to pass through the coffee puck the entire time.

    What is the little red cube looking thing for? Is it even needed?

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  Рік тому

      The cube in the drip tray is a floater to indicate if your drip tray is full :)

    Can I convert my Dinamica plus to have the frothing wand instead of the milk carafe it came with

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  Рік тому

      No, it is only compatible with the carafe :)

    We are not impressed with the frother. It automatically shuts off when we would rather do it manually because we use different amounts of milk. Also it does not extend deep enough into the cup. I add certain thing that sink to the bottom and need the steam to go to the bottom of my 20oz cup to mix them better.

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  Рік тому

      Hi James! Sorry you are frustrated with your frother! The wand will shut off after a certain amount of time as a safety feature, as some people walk away while their milk is steaming, and to ensure that it does not get too hot, but you can always turn it back on :) The wand is very short! But the milk expand quickly when heating up, what are you adding to the cup to help them mix?

    Isn’t this a super automatic?

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  3 роки тому +1

      The definitions are a bit vague. Yes it is to some, but since the milk is more manual, we refer to it as semi. When the milk comes through a connected carafe and you have to do nothing, we call it super.

    • @AehreWemAereGebuehrt
      @AehreWemAereGebuehrt 3 роки тому

      @@ecscoffeeinc Thanks for the explanation. Tough terminology 😉 I‘ve heard people call portafilter machines „semi-automatic“ too. How would you call these?

    Computer (LCD screen) failed after 6 months. Get extended warranty on this type.

      Standard warranty in Canada is 2 plus one years. So you should be covered

    What I dont like ... All that plastic 🤨 I prefer all metal design

    • @ecscoffeeinc

      Metal is great, but also really hikes up the price point of the machine and the weight!

    If delongi are calling semi-automatic, they need to re-define machine, and semi, and automatic 😜

      Hello, we call this a semi-automatic, the milk steamer.
      i do suggest the Latte Crema version of de Dinamica, or the dinamica +
