    Makes a very important point. Prior Planning is Essential. Trying to fit stuff after it is buried can be virtually impossible.

    Good idea, keeping the generator in its own pod and the inverter/batteries in the living quarters. If a fire breaks out in the generator room, it won't also burn up the inverter/batteries.

    One might want to take a trip to one of the bone yards in Arizona and pick up on some first class aircraft seating. I can also see using a small galley from a small aircraft. Only issue that the stuff needs to be n stalled before end caps go on. I would also suggest Poly Phaser lightning arresters on the coax lines going into the shelter for the comms gear. They should be placed away from the living area to avoid any accidents that might occur during a T-storm.

    I’ve come to the conclusion that to power or bunker you need to have potential and kinetic energy. You will need a large battery bank that can be charged by multiple bicycles. This will serve two purposes. Exercise will keep you in shape and fight depression while powering the energy you need to live. You will have nothing but time to charge them. Liquid fuel will eventually run out.

  • @CLEVERBRA1N

    Whats the best way to power one of these? Gas doesn't seem like it would last very long and solar would give away your location... I imagine would be tricky to live in one of these once the nightlight runs out lol

    • @CLEVERBRA1N
      @CLEVERBRA1N 3 роки тому +1

      @GunBunny smart, putting one near an off grid home is probably the best. is the generator used for direct energy or is it mainly used for recharging batteries that are used while the generator is off?

    • @jfbeam
      @jfbeam 2 роки тому +2

      Well, the generator is going to give it away, too. No generator is completely silent. Also, how many people expect a bunker to be under (or anywhere near) a grid of solar panels? Esp. if there's a house/barn/etc. that would be a more logical user. The radio antennas have to go somewhere, too. That stuff won't work inside a metal box. (if I had to guess, there's a loop in a tree topside.)

    This guy definitely knows what he's doing, however I would advise against using copper lines for diesel fuel - especially in a bunker application where it may not be used for long periods of time. Copper reacts with diesel to make volatile compounds that can/will ruin fuel overtime.

    • @ronicarbine8723
      @ronicarbine8723 3 роки тому +3

      Fair point. First thing you would want to do is hide the vent. I have seen some that look like bird feeders as an example. Hidden surveillance of the area is a must. I have also seen some that have defensive measures around the intake

    • @teslacoiler
      @teslacoiler 3 роки тому +2

      Even if someone seal the intake, you still have a lot of air inside the room.
      One people requires about 1500 liters of air per hour (normal breath, without any issues) and the same air can be re-breathed again 2 more times (smells as bad air, but is still OK) and this shelter contains some tens of thousands of liters of air.
      Yes, it can be done... if you plug the intake the oxygen eventually runs out, but the bad guy shall wait for DAYS before it happens! (probably this is the least successfull way to attack the people inside)
