If I'd have known it was so easy, I would've installed the one in my parents' car by myself and saved $100 from Best Buy. But now that I know how to do this, I'll install the dash cams for my other two cars.

Do not set your loop recording to off. Set loop recording to a desired time. Make sure to format the SD card or buy a larger capacity SD card based on tje dash cam maximum storage capacity.

when I start car a menu comes up mass storage pc camera rec mode i have to do manual to rec mode to start video it's suppose to start videoing as soon as I start the car, how do I fix that.

Make sure to use the power cable that came with the dash cam. If you use a different cable do not plug it into a USB port in the car. The USB port in a car is a drive for file transfer and won't power the dash cam on for recording.
