Is not connecting the red & orange plug enough to not drain the battery on a 2007 golf 5? I've read quite a few times now that i most likely need a canbus gateway upgrade for it to not drain the battery.
My unit keeps rebooting makes navigation worse than useless . There was no insruction booklet enclosed. On your first video It was not obvious that the ACC lead shouldn't be connected, my caďdy battery kept going flat until i disconnected it. Also is there a fan in all models.
How do you prevent it from stopping mirror link enough though the vehicle is Off and not moving... Something is stopping correct signal getting through ?
Iv recently brought the same system for my partners Fabia. The two white connectors in the back for the grey usb cables already have connectors in so it’s not possible to use the grey usb cable. Now I can’t Connect the DAB dongle. Can you tell me what them two cables in the middle are for? And if I can disconnect them? Thank you
@@davefrancis7213 Hello, you've probably go for 7inch VW model which has type C and USB at the front. You can disconnect it from the back and connect the long USB cable at the back to use DAB radio, thanks!
Have this unit . doesnt switch off with ignotion and u it software went mental all sorts things happening . unit kn and off itself and indicators make screen flash on and off. all sorts of stuff. pulled out and binned due to customer services no existant . Sales team only . Rubbish

Made the cables to the glove box look easy, near impossible on my Jetta. Will probably need to remove the whole thing.

sounds like Chinese crap possibly , maybe they can confirm its not an RCD model ?
Did you have the reverse camera originally from the car?
