    OMG! I have been using hypochlorous acid wound repair as a veterinarian (brand name Vetericyn antimicrobial hydrogel) every day and have been singing its praises and using it to treat feral cats wounds! I often wondered how to make it- you delivered! I tell everyone how good this is. Vetericyn has a vet formulation for wounds, eyes, ears (each with different safe concentrations as low as 0.009% HOCl). I cant believe Im watching this! P.S., a cat scratched me and the hypochlorous started healing and sealing the skin within minutes. Its amazing. Also- the hydrogel formula is thick like a gel and sticks to wounds which is nice. Next up- show us how to produce the hydrogel haha 😅

      Thank you for your service to the pets you over see! My chihuatzuweenie just had puppies month ago and couple days ago I started taking the puppies outdoors to sort of introduce them to one being outdoors and Secondly introduce them to the grass as to get them used to being around the grass and believe it or not one of the 3 puppies actually released literally took a squat and went #2 I was tickled pink lol as for formulating the gel version you might want to partner up with Tara on that? Just a thought!

    What annoys me about the scientific community at times is when they say "there's no evidence" as if to say something doesn't work even though it means little to no study was done to support a hypothesis. With this said, I think personal anecdotes are important in the absence of scientific evidence, as someone's experience can help another person. Take me, for instance. I learned that hypochlorous acid really helps clear up my eczema but it's not a cure. When nothing else has worked for me, hypochlorous acid seems like heaven-sent.

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  Місяць тому +1

      saying there is no evidence doesn’t mean it won’t work. it just means studies haven’t been conducted. studies are expensive so they often aren’t done for many ingredients. and those who are actual chemist and scientist have to say this to most likely protect themselves from being sued or something. (honestly i’m not sure i’m just making a guess) like a company can’t make a claim their products cure something unless it’s been tested. i’m not a scientist myself, so i can only repeat from the research i read. i don’t want to spread false information about something. i even explained in the video if it works for you then use it. just because it hasn’t been proven doesn’t mean it won’t work, just like you said. hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for watching! ps. glad to know it helps your eczema

      @@TaraLeee Nothing directed at you, Tara. I'm doing my daily rant online rant. Lol. Just saying that sometimes (not all the time) I'll hear a medical professional sound dismissive of a claim about a product that has worked for me or someone else by saying "there's no evidence...." But you could be right...they're probably just protecting themselves. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video. I have a hypochlorous acid making machine of my own but after watching your video, I'm considering purchasing that expensive one you used. Hope you have a good day as well.

      Bleach bathes to treat skin conditions is an old Doctor recommend thing so there is evidence of success all over the globe. An actually study on bleach and water benefits to the skin doesnt benefit any company, except for maybe clorox, to invest in so we most likely will never have scientific evidence.

    The pH was high on the cheaper machine because no vinegar was added. The vinegar is very acidic and used as a pH adjuster. When the pH is high, it’s bleach and when it’s more acidic it’s Hypochlorous acid.
    I’ve been making Hypochlorous acid for months and on wounds etc, it’s amazing. There is no sting either. I have a similar pitcher machine.

      @TaraLeee  Місяць тому +1

      i agree. that’s what i assumed, i just wondered why it didn’t mention this in their directions. i guess i was trying to show how that machine probably isn’t good for people who aren’t familiar with adjusting ph.

    Lol we use this at work to disinfect our tools like scissors, to stop spreading disease (I work at a medical cannabis farm). I always notice my hands have a strange cooling/almost stinging sensation when it seeps through the gloves we wear! We use a Kanga water machine and a salt solution to make it. It also degrades super fast and we actually make a new batch each day. Really not sure if I would ever put this on my face, could be great to disinfect formulationg utensils before using Isopropyl alcohol though... but I mean it just seems like an extra step if there are easier options other than the process of making it all the time.

      @@carolinek220 Hypochlorous acid has been used by medical professionals for years to safely treat wounds. A few years ago, I caught onto it but via a post about using it to disinfect homes safely. In the last year or so, online vendors have been marketing hypochlorous acid (under different names, of course) as miracle water that gets rid of acne and all kinds of stuff. With the marketing comes the marked up prices. But, really, you can use it for many things and it's quite cheap and simple to make as long as you have the right ingredients and equipment. Nowadays I mainly use it to clear my eczema and sometimes clean my eyes when they get super itchy out of nowhere. Hope this helps.

    Hi - I had an unrelated question about mixing oils. I make my own oils and mix them to use on my face and body, but how do iI keep them more shelf stable and stop them from going rancid quickly? Just add VIT E and a natural preservative?

    • @TonyaSloan-hn7ml

      @@TonyaSloan-hn7ml Thanks for replying! Hmm, I want my formulation to last over a year or two so I can gift to friends and eventually sell. I don't use that much oil and sometimes I feel they go rancid too quick! Want to ensure this formulation is safe and has the shelf-life.

    It sounds wrong that Hypochlorus acid is the same element. The chlorine itself is indead the same element in both molecules, but the acid and bleach are not elements. And bleach is a sodium salt of this acid. So maybe the right description would be "Hypochlorus acid HAS (instead of IS) the same element (chlorine) as the bleach does".

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  13 днів тому

      i linked my sources below so you can read more about it. i’m not a chemist, but i did site to a chemists explanation of it.
      cause it definitely acts like bleach. if you use to much of it, it will bleach clothing.
