The rolled the fenders, hammered that pinch welder section in the wheel arch, and cut off the tow loop.
They can't be reversed.

While the purist and collector in me is screaming. I do fully support Jimmy in making his car into his dream car, i cant fault him for that.
What i would say is get a hold of Jobe and find out and do all the same oiling mods to the engine he did, id hate for all this work to be done and then the engine spins a bearing and dies.

A common misconception about cars is that letting them sit is "saving them" but father time still rots out all your rubber components all the same. Might as well build em and drive em.

it's not as bad as the other mods that people do to cars, this is nice and basic.
Jimmy now whenever you get the time get a proper size Limited Slip Diff in the car to complete the build.

Bro needs to do more research when buying car parts lol, and I kind of get how people can be upset about this modding, it's always nice to have at least 1 version of something for historical purposes, but at least it's not too bad on the mods and it'll actually look good and it'll be driven, that is the important part, but I really don't like that they cut the fucking tow hooks off like bro why, not worth it, that's a very important part to have on a car, and the muffler looks goofy, way too big, that's a negative on this mod TBH.

Crazy to watch some young guy who can buy a mint jdm car, high end parts, and then have a proper shop with a lift to work in it. Meanwhile, much of the audience is lucky to have a rusty beater, basic tools, lots of jackstands and maybe a friend who knows more than they do.
Instead of envying the man who worked hard to get his car (which isn't even that expensive) maybe you should work hard and earn some money

While I do think if you own an old car it is yours to do with as you please.
The problem is as older cars get more and more rare as time goes on.
it’s probably better to simply take a more modern car and make it look like an old car.
I can’t remember the names but there’s companies that actually make cars that look like old/vintage cars but they have modern features and performance.
And I get that it’s not the same thing but it’s better than potentially ruining a rare car.
For example I like the idea of turning a 1930’s/1940’s coupe into a hot rod but considering the rarity of a car like that I probably wouldn’t want to do anything to it that I couldn’t easily change back to the stock setup.

Should have just went o the junk yard and picked up a lad from the infinity. The balancing of the axles is a bit much. Most people won’t even feel that back there. What happens to balance when the axle breaks?
I wish you would have been more patient with the build. Welding the diff on such a nice car just kind of sucks. Also cutting off the tow hook was really dumb. But otherwise, car looks cool man.

best have a good place to store this car. friend had them rims with 2 different locking nuts on each rim. and someone stole them things in 20 mins of him being in walmart, but on the good not. the dude who stole them used and left car jacks so the car wasn't left on the ground... still sad tho. it was a skyline base model
This is the best video from donut since I can remember. Never really thought much about the Silvia but this build is too clean. Tastefully modified and jimmy did a great job!
A decade ago I was going to drive from Toronto Canada to Florida to buy a 1969 camaro ss in a special edition gold color sitting in an automotive museum and bring it back to chop up and make into a ken block car, thank my mom for that never happening lol
At 12:00 when they welded the dif I stopped. I thought Jimmy was above the mindset equal to a 16 year old with money but I was sadly wrong. Stop respecting all builds
okay, I was extremely worried but honestly it doesn't look that bad. the welded diff is no problem you can get that replaced. my only gripe would be that steering wheel and seats, they're awful. and I reaaaaaaaaally hope you keep those parts you took off jimmy for the love of god !! 🤣 don't sell them either! HOARD THEM! THEY'RE GOLD!
I want to know how Jimmy gets a 9k kilometer/mile 90s Nissan in the first place... probably same way I got an 8k kilometer 94 Corolla cheap; a JDM auction-hound dealer. My favorite 'granny car'.
My only objection is the sticker on the hood, I have seen too many stickers protect the paint under them. Once they are removed you have a different color paint forever.
