It was filmed months ago. Usually big yt channles have to have material ready incase they have problem with new videos. Also I think this was filmed in 2-4 weeks, but it is stretched out over many more episodes (maybe 8 or so), so it is even more delayed.

could also be that the fat slicks are more tire than they need and the larger contact patch is slowing them down as it tries to pull away from the prepped surface on the back side
They did say having a taller spring will make the weight transition take longer, so low car being lower allows the weight of the car to be transferred to the rear wheels faster. Add the smaller tire that low car has and yeah, the suspension is helping it accelerate faster.
Yeah, low car will be faster... High car doesn't the power for it's tire and suspension package... The negative of adding more friction is you have to have the power to use that friction. Low car has a better tire and suspension package for its power output. Its never about how much you spent on X, its about how much you have spent on the entire package.

They painted / wrapped the cars for the series, low car was originally red and high car was originally white. High car having the higher horsepower is likely why they didn't keep low car's original paintjob and make it high car instead.

Back in the early 00's I ran a Steeda tri-ax shifter on my stock t5 trans in my turbo Datsun 280zx. I polished all the pieces and painted certain parts. What an improvement it made on the shifting and made for a beautiful, eye-catching piece on the interior!
They'll probably adjust in the future. No way they don't. There's no reason to fully adjust when your going to have to adjust later when you make more power and modifications, you typically fine tune if your at the end

Every season of HiLow makes me think “I could do most of that work myself…not the suspension stuff, but I could do most of these mods myself.”
Suspension is big chunky stuff, it's not generally too complicated. Adjusting it can be a bear but patience and math (or the proper equipment) is key
