  • When you don't have protection on your Tesla, scratches are going to happen. When you look at your cars paint in sunlight, you may notice all the swirls across the paint.
    Regardless of whether you are dealing with swirls, scratches, or even just stuck on bugs, using a product to correct these imperfections without damaging your Teslas paint is critical.
    Nu Finish has been around for a long time, and has been the go to for many people. Their Scratch Dr. product is specifically formulated to help message out scratches and swirls without doing heavy damage to your paint.
    Once you have removed scratches and swirls, their Once a Year Polish is the perfect top coat. This polish is actually a synthetic wax that is made to last longer than traditional waxes. This polish will help keep your Teslas paint bright and shiny for a long time and also makes removing bugs from the front bumper a lot easier.

    My young kids decided to try flying a kite near our car and didn't seem to notice the kite was bashing into the side of the car as they were running. Leave them alone for 2 minutes and come out to 6 long scratches down the whole side of our Mazda CX5 with the dark blue metallic paint. Thankfully they weren't deep. This stuff seriously helped. I'm not going to lie and say they are totally gone. But they are at the point you can not see them unless you knew where to look. Wasn't sure how to apply it so I watched your video. Thanks!

    Wow! That is amazing how the Scratch Doctor was able to remove that deep scratch - so now the question is, if it is able to remove such a deep scratch, wouldn't that mean the Scratch Doctor must have also removed the clear coat on the paint?

      @@daviddowns7552 I am 50 now, and was using nu finish back when a teen as I excitedly wanted to surprise my uncle and show him his car all new and shiny. He was and still is the kindest man and I just wanted to do something for him to say thanks. But that tells you how long Nu Finish has been around LOL. I used the original one, the one they call a "once year car polish", and buffed and buffed but apparently left haze all over his car that he saw the next day and was mortified, said his paint looks ruined. It took a proper detailer to clean it all up. I remember it clearly as it was his brand new Mazda MX5 in red and I was 16. It was on a cool day (not cold, around 15 Celsius) and clouds were out, no direct sunlight. Point is, I always attributed it to me doing something wrong, but maybe their products are just crap? I had plenty of towels and spent hours on it and had plenty of room in the large drive way so it's not as if I rushed. I remember this situation distinctly as we were all at the grandparents for our usual Friday food get together, and I took it upon myself to do this LOL. Needless to say I did not do him the favour of polishing his car ever again. 😁

    scraped my car and had scuff marks all along bumper
    tried the tw hybrid, compound coat then sealant , by hand, did a good job about 80% by hand, didn't have buffer
    then tried the nu finish, and it made it worse, muddied the shine and removed the color matching effect
    so I re applied the tw but it didn't result as good had I not used the nu finish, which made it waxy-and dull looking and showed the scratches more..just my experience

    • @BeardedTeslaGuy
      @BeardedTeslaGuy  Рік тому

      Make sure you polish the car afterwards if you are looking for a refreshed shine. This does remove scratches, but if you have more scratches, then your rag had stuff in it because this does not have a cutting agent in it.

    When you are sponsored do they send you a special formula that works miracles that the formula from Walmart doesn't? Because what I purchased off the shelf at the store does not do a dorn thing. It did not take out even the most barely visible swirl marks, let alone a scratch. Who conducted the study that generated their slogan "#1 BEST SELLLING..."? I can sell a million bottles of air and claim it will take out scratches, and it will end up being the #1 selling bottle of air for that day, but I guarantee no one will ever buy it again, and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will never buy this crap again.
