One of your best videos. You forgot about Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Also, the 1st big kiss was of Karishma and Aamir in Raja Hindustani not Aishwarya and Hrithik"s, I think. Also, I think, the controversies about a movie showing smth unacceptable is started by the makers themselves to make it popular. I watched reviews and all these discussions on kabir Singh and Animal, before watching the movie and I was furious. But after watching them very recently, I felt the issues were overhyped. I think mostly it's the makers fault that they have stopped putting that effort to create that depth in movies. Throughly enjoyed this video! Keep up the amazing work. 😊
I have also seen this shift in indian television industry. They’re doing more forgettable ekta kapoor saas bahu shows in comparison to a love saga like iss pyaar ko kya naam doon (2011) and many other love stories like this. It’s bizzare how well done the chemistry and romance was. Which has been severely lacking on both big and small screen nowadays.
I'm still stuck in that romance genre. so, in today's era I'm still watching those old movies from all industries. It's like i can escape reality of today.

Punjabi cinema is doing a great job in making Rom-coms. Carry on jatta, Nikka zaildar, Jatt and julliet, the list goes on. Bollywood/netflix is garbage and is fixated on lust rather than love.
Laapata Ladies, Sita Ramam, Sairat, Geeta Govindam etc are romantic movies that people liked. Instead of working on stories Bollywood is concentrated on cinematography. Raja Rani ki love story,Shahzada were just concentrated cringe.
well romantic web series on OTT and youtube are hits cause people do not expect something iconic from them. But when we go to theatres we expect the movie to connect with us and we want to carry the characters home with us. But in case of web series it simply doesnt happen. Biggest example is Mismatched. It is not something iconic I will say it is very very average with very average acting ofc. But we all know people had for its Season 2. But no one was connected to any of the characters.
Its not like that todays generation dont like romantic movies, when ever I talk with my friends we always end up saying 2010s gen movie were best. Love aaj kal, Kal ho na ho, Hum tum, Bachna ae haseeno, Jab we met, Ae dil hai mushkil and tamasha and yjhd were the masterpiece. Recently there's not such a great romantic or a rom com movie, recently i can think of satyaprem ki katha, rarkpk, and i loved tu jhoothi mai makkar. Lastly I just want to tell that its not like todays generation dont want to watch romantic movies it is just they want a good story, a relatable story, character and plot
Certain plots that can be shown in new age romantic movies 1. Power couple relationships 2. Long Distance Relationship 3. Infertility problems in a relationship 4. LGBT relationships 5. Second chances 6. Old or middle aged couple love stories, etc. None of these are shown in main stream movies
People want to watch romantic movies thats why the romantic series are successful nowdays but bollywood not made the pure love stories without any sexual scence thats why it not be successful
Great analysis! Another romantic movie that was released recently was Auron mei Kahan dum tha. I had high expectations from the film after seeing the songs, and it felt like it would be a romantic thriller. However, it didn't turn out too well. The chemistry and screenplay, to me, felt so broken and forced. There were instances when the younger actors portrayed their emotions really well but they were just a very few. The movie could have been much better and could have revived the romance genre in Bollywood if it was written and executed properly.
You forget that, south cinema ki kayi romantic movies, hindi audiences me popular hui he. To ye kahna ki hindi audiences accept nhi kr romantic movies ye sirf ek bahana hai, Bollywood ka kyu ki vo ab utne creative nhi rhe ab, abhi sirf western copy system chal raha hai Example Sita Ramam, is pure romantic tragedy movie
Romance is a forever green topic, it's just the Indian industry has forgotten how to potray it meaningfully. It's also right that there is a lack of new younger actors coming into the industry and actors in their 30ts have a problem portraying young love.
Romance is not out-dated, bollywood has indeed become outdated… As most Indians watch Romantic Pakistani dramas, k-dramas, Turkish dramas… something bollywood is not doing right neither on big screen nor on small screen…
I love how everyone talked about the fact that gen z loves watching romantic movies with actual love and not lust like in kdramas. Pls directors make more good romantic flims like the ones from the 90s 80s and early 2000s pls im saying this as a 12 y/o

pPeople often blame writers, but I believe it's the large production houses that are responsible. From building a character to presenting it on screen, they control every aspect of a film, and as a result, what could be good romance often turns into vulgar comedy.
It's that , before , we could go and watch romantic Movies with our entire families , and now we can't be sure , what kind of scenes they will be showing . And they definitely do , now they object women and nothing else , only make her cleavage show and don't give her any dialogues ..That's why people who love romance , especially females are shifting towards things like K dramas , where the romance is still pure , where a female is a human and the male is actually handsome while there is nothing erotic , only pureness and we can watch those with our family 🤍 , I hope Bollywood would fix this and Id be able to watch a romantic movie with not some boy but with my parents too and we an enjoy it like we used too
'Chandani' ne Bollywood ko revive nahi kiya tha. Us saal usse bhi badi hit filme aayi thi, jaise ki 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Ram-Lakhan' & 'Chaalbaaz'. Usse ek saal pehle 'Tezaab' jaisi tapori action filme hit huyi thi. Agar Bollywood ko revive karne ka credit kisi film ko deni ho toh 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' ko deni chahiye, 'Chandani' ko nahin. 'Chandani' ke baad Yash Chopra ki usse badi aur behtar film 'Lamhe' buri tarah flop huyi thi aur 'Phool Aur Kaante' jaisi action film hit huyi thi.

Sanam Teri Kasam(2016) 👀
He's talking about the 2020s i believe? And all the movies you've named are Indian, but he's talking about Bollywood.
all movies are south indian, not bollywood, and yes our movies are best in comparision to bollywood
romance genre died with the demise of Yash Chopra.
Romantic dekhna hai tho "queen of tears" dekho best hai

If you think romance is dead just watch "95" movie with vijay sethupati
*96
I think if someone can make a film like Ashqui 2 with a strong plot and songs, it is still workable
Laila majnu
Luka chupi
Meri pyari Bindu
❤ rockstar
Still we have these❤
Lol. These are absolutely nothing compared to Veer Zaara, DDLJ, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Mohabbatein, JTHJ

Lapata ladies ; Rocky aur raani ki Prem kahaani romance is still alive
But these aren't proper romantic movies. Laapta ladies was almost about women rights and empowerment. And Rocky aur Rani ki Prem kahani also had social messages.
Tu jhoothi main makkar also
@snowieplays7994 women empowerment and messages acted as subplots. But in core they are romantic movies
@@39_ce_tamojitmallick56 it was may be a subplot in Rocky or rani but laapta ladies was based on women empowerment.
the stars in thumbnail - Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai are the definiton of bollywood, bollywood would have been so incomplete without them.. love them & their work 😊⭐
Vedant Bhai Back On His Comfort Zone i.e., Movies 🥴
Shiva Shiva Shiva.....will always make people 😂😂😂😂
One of your best videos. 😊
Big fan, keep making more videos and I support you, going great and continue 😊
Thoko like ❤❤
4:11 Basically Bollywood started milking Romance-Genre since CHANDNI's success
I have also seen this shift in indian television industry. They’re doing more forgettable ekta kapoor saas bahu shows in comparison to a love saga like iss pyaar ko kya naam doon (2011) and many other love stories like this. It’s bizzare how well done the chemistry and romance was. Which has been severely lacking on both big and small screen nowadays.
Ye sahi baat uthaai hai aapney aaj kal log Bollywood ki comedy ki baat to kartey hain romantic movies ki baat koi nahi karta
Nice presentation ! 🥰
21:03 😂 That Rekha photo with black cat in Stardust is iconic
I'm still stuck in that romance genre. so, in today's era I'm still watching those old movies from all industries. It's like i can escape reality of today.
Sita Raman is a great gem only a person who is hear less can stop his tears.😊
His name was Yash Chopra and not Yash Raj Chopra. Raj in Yash Raj films is the name of Rajesh Khanna. It is a fact that Yash Chopra put his name in his production house name because he worked for free in the movie Daag . Yash Chopra's directorial debut.
Yash chopra’s debut film as director was “Waqt” (1965).
Beautiful video.

Ek zamane pehle Bollywood romantic movies ki baat alag hoti thi jo bahut innocent aur cute lagti thi lekin usme sabse acchi baat yeh bhi thi ki unki romantic onscreen pairing ekdum age appropriate lagti thi ab toh romantic movies bhi bahut kam banti hai aur agar banti hai toh bahut hi cynical aur sad hoti hai aur saath mein sex scene dal dete hai woh bahut turn-off kar deta hai aur kharab baat yeh bhi hai ki aaj kal romance 60 saal ke uncle aur 30 saal ki ladki ke beech mein hoti hai which feels so cringe sometimes aur agar 90s ya 20s ki baat karoon toh meri favourite onscreen pairing mein SRK- Kajol hai aur younger generation mein Ranbir-Deepika hai main unn bollywood romantic movies ki freshness aaj ke bollywood mein miss karta hoon......

Once a legend said : Romance bhi mere saath retire ho jayega 💔
At some point directors are right I skipped songs of many movies because they were flop or I was frustrated by listening too many songs in a film
Hi sir your script is too good
I think you should make a video on AIB
Please 🙏🙏😭
everyone watching his video:👁👄👁
me precisely writing down every movie in my list to watch from early 2000s :✍📝📝✍
I think WakeUpSid2008 akhri aisi movie hai jisme Romance kahi se bhi cringy nhi lagaa & usein utna hi use kiya gya jitna necessary tha
Aashiqui 2 best romantic movie best songs best chemistry Aditya Shraddha ❤❤
Thumbnails are totally insane🔥🗿
The only romantic movie I can remember is Aashiqui 2.
That was toxic

its something special always
Sita ramam was great example is romance movie for today gen ❤
But unfortunately is south not from bollywood 😅
Certain plots that can be shown in new age romantic movies
1. Power couple relationships
2. Long Distance Relationship
3. Infertility problems in a relationship
4. LGBT relationships
5. Second chances
6. Old or middle aged couple love stories, etc.
None of these are shown in main stream movies

People want to watch romantic movies thats why the romantic series are successful nowdays but bollywood not made the pure love stories without any sexual scence thats why it not be successful
Ranbir ko koi Bhature do yaar, video ke bich bar bar "kithe milenge bhature" kar ke dimaag ka dahi kar raha hain😸
You have forgot to mention "12th fail", a film where romance played a crucial role in plot development.
You forget that,
south cinema ki kayi romantic movies, hindi audiences me popular hui he. To ye kahna ki hindi audiences accept nhi kr romantic movies ye sirf ek bahana hai, Bollywood ka kyu ki vo ab utne creative nhi rhe ab, abhi sirf western copy system chal raha hai
Example Sita Ramam, is pure romantic tragedy movie
And the iconic 96
Bro u missed the best romantic movie tht is Veer zara
Veer zara copy of Pakistani film
Romance is a forever green topic, it's just the Indian industry has forgotten how to potray it meaningfully. It's also right that there is a lack of new younger actors coming into the industry and actors in their 30ts have a problem portraying young love.
I think todays generation is really not that interested in typical romantic movies
Kabhi main kabhi tum Drama is Romantic & hit many records in india.. ❤ love to be Romantic movies in Bollywood
10:27 Emraan Hashmi be like Jalwa hai Hamara
I think that Aashqui and Laila Majnu were the last love movies that actually i enjoyed.
Bro forgot imran khan and his movies
Romance is not out-dated, bollywood has indeed become outdated… As most Indians watch Romantic Pakistani dramas, k-dramas, Turkish dramas… something bollywood is not doing right neither on big screen nor on small screen…
Good analysis bro
I love how everyone talked about the fact that gen z loves watching romantic movies with actual love and not lust like in kdramas. Pls directors make more good romantic flims like the ones from the 90s 80s and early 2000s pls im saying this as a 12 y/o
❤KING❤SRK❤
Kyunki early 2000's me aane wale ziyada tar actors romance me srk ko hi copy kartey the Hrithik Roshan bhi yaqeen nahi to mujhse dosti karoge movie ka church wala scene dekhlo phir action film wanted aai or sb kuch badal gaya
What about Sanam Teri Kasam 🥺
Philauri....based on timeless love story ❤
pPeople often blame writers, but I believe it's the large production houses that are responsible. From building a character to presenting it on screen, they control every aspect of a film, and as a result, what could be good romance often turns into vulgar comedy.
theres so many great opportunities with the so called "tinder love" of this generation but filmmakers neither understand nor try to understand these
Filmmaker are nowadays failed for making romantic flim
Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan 🥰
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif 🥰
23:50 Very good point 👍🏻
In recents, I think Laila Majnu and Sita Ramam are my fav romantic movies!!
they do not wanna be indians anymore but hollywood mass cinema
Genre of romance is very much alive and strong in the South Indian film industry
Highway Love, Gutar Gu, and Half Love, Half Arranged are good romantic series to watch. Dilip Kumar was linked to Kamla something in early days, I guess.
