Turned out so pretty you did a great job Debbie thanks so much for sharing all the different tips you shared, and each one of these projects was beautifully done by you. Oh yes, we’re gonna see what we can do and see if we can get some more friends to stop by your channel and see the beautiful work you’ve done I am going to be putting the temu post up on Sunday and I will mention this post and see if we can get anyone to show up and see it. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs and kisses grandma Sandy, and Debbie.
Hi friend, I really enjoyed watching. Nice Sweets, awesome job. You put a lot of work into your project. I joined your family. Grandma Sandy mention you. Thanks for sharing, blessings 😊👍🏾
Thank you so much for stopping by and seeing my fake bake goodies. Faux baking is so much fun. You need to try it I actually found those cute boxes at the thrift store and had them tucked away just waiting for the summer to arrive. 🌸✂️👱♀️
Hello Blossom.... Thanks for the share. The volume is great and the video is awesome. Love your channel. You are so close to the 1k goal. You got this.
These are so cute!! I just can't believe the texture you got from that clay with mod podge. It's an amazing frosting texture. I'll have to give it a try. TFS and for joining us for the fun!!
Im not sure if Mod Podge still makes it, but they used to actually sell it as 'faux frosting" a couple yrs ago. There was a girl on here that used to do extreme fake shakes and she used all polymer clays, which I think it a little too expensive for the size you get, BUT it IS much easier and the results are really nice AND there is more you can do with the polymer clay that comes out nicer that you cant get with the foam clay....but again, I think its more expensive. But, if you make to sell and sell enough to justify it, lol, it def is easier bc dry time is SO much less, its literally a pop in the oven for 30min or less and its done, then you can move on to the next step...anyway, she used the mod podge pre-made "frosting" and it came in a "bakery" type squeeze bag with a twist on cap and would squeeze out like a frosting tip too. I never looked into it bc I already figured it was prob pretty pricey and knew it was just the clay and mod podge, but also hadnt tried it myself and never seen anyone mix it and try it themselves, lol! I feel like, though, it looks heavy and like it doesnt hold its shape as nicely as spackle. I know spackle can spread or collapse too, but it happens less often when you use support under the spackle like styrofoam. I noticed even on the key-lime bar in this video it looks like it spread a bit when it dried and that was just a strip of it. The girl that used the mod podge pre-made one only used it for a spread frosting, not for a whipped cream look so I never noticed if it held up as whipped cream or not, but seeing it here, even the small dollop on the cherry pie looks like it spread a bit where spackle would def have held its shape for that small of an amount and that makes me hesitate using it...although it would have been awesome seeing as a large bucket of spackle in the last year and a half to 2 yrs went from under $20 to about $20 to now, just about 3 weeks ago I paid a little over $28 with tax for the SAME bucket!!!!! I was STUNNED when I seen the price at Home Depot! I could NOT believe it went up THAT much! Like, HOW?! lNOTHING changed about it, its still the same amount, same product...just almost double in price! So, ya, anything that replaces spackle DEF catches my attention, but Im not sure if mod podge and clay mix will be it for me. Unless there is maybe a way to make it hold its form better as it dries?
@@Em22-wtf you have control over the texture of the clay and modpodge mixture. If you want it stiffer use less mode Podge. Won’t hurt to try. I have lots of model magic clay that is old and will try to use it with mod Podge first befit throwing away.
@Em22-wtf I love the idea of the modpodge with clay, but I thought the same, that it would be hard to keep the shape as it's heavier thanks to the modpodge. Maybe if you use that mixture as frosting and the lightweight spackling for the piping details. I think you'll use less spackling. I would love to have all the clays available out there, but crafting comes with a gigantic price tag these days. In one of my older videos, when I pretty much started, I made a lemon cake without spackling. It was a mixture of baby powder and school glue. It worked beautifully as frosting. But I couldn't make it hold its shape. So I had to move on to spackling. I've seen the same on spackling, plaster of paris, and almost every single thing we can use for crafting. Prices have skyrocketed these days, I think that I'll be back to recycling crafts if this keeps happening. I think crafting helps a lot with mental health, and it's been treated as a luxury right now.
@@blossomyourcreativity4960 Ohh you;ll have to let us know how it comes out if you try it again! I didnt even think of using the more dried out clay...I mostly use Model Magic, I know a lot of people dont like it, but I dont usually have a problem with it, but I condition it BIG TIME before using it, like I treat it as a stress ball, lol, I take it out & start conditioning it as Im setting other stuff up or eating a snack, lol! I even condition the old stuff that is borderline drying out...but the stuff that I wasnt able to save I used for like a "cookie crumble" type topping or I use it in a coordinating 'ice cream' color as chunks of strawberry or choc crumble, etc...but there is only so much and if you have a lot of one color, it'd be better to try it for frosting instead, even if just for regular spread frosting on cake pops or cake, etc.
Thank you for stopping by, great to see another crafter in So Ca. I will be starting to post new content at the end of the month. I am all rested and ready to get back to crafting 🌸✂️👱♀️
