    I've also used the spackling like I use for icing on my fake baked. I pipe it out with a tiny hole tip. I make lines on parchment covering cardboard. I let dry then use clay blade to chop them up. I mix a little acrylic paint for each color. It makes a ton, and is less time consuming than some of the other, especially if you need bunches!!

    Here is a useful tip I discovered while making sprinkles out of model magic and wanting really bright colored sprinkles. After watching the beautiful bright colored sprinkles, I made with powered artist pigments, crumble when being cut when dry, and food color sprinkles bleeding into my icing just a bit even after they were dry, I got out a set of (water clean up) liquid artist pigments I found cheap on Amazon several years ago (24 colors for around 10 bucks then) , and wham, bright colors with a few drops, no crumbles, and the sprinkles turned out so bright and vibrant. Even the blacks and browns came out wonderfully dark. This is a very cost-effective method for bright sprinkles too. I've been using the same liquid pigments for other projects over the years and haven't even used 1/4 of the pigment in each bottle even after a sprinkle making extravaganza using four big packs of model magic.

    I’ve also rolled out polymer clay very thin like you used the Model Magic then I punched the clay pieces after it was baked. I did this 20+ years ago for nail art. So I have many tiny different shapes. I also use the craft foam with punches. Thank you Cindy for sharing your ideas! I have not seen the spakle method and love that idea. Very cost effective!

    Thank you so much for all your brilliant instructions. I have a single tip you maybe will benefit from.
    UV resin. I use it for when you want shiny things stick. It shines, so sprinkles on a chocolate covered strawberry, lollypops, glitter, anything you can think of. you can mess around until you get it right, and then with a UV flashlight it is stuck in 5 sec. Need a few more sprinkles, just ad them with resin and hit with the light again. A few hours in the sun will not hurt after finishing it of, it can be a bit sticky, but still stuck in seconds.

      @peepthisyall  2 роки тому +1

      @@peepthisyall It is also perfect when repairing stuff, I just put away for Christmas, and we all know how some things just break of. A small bottle last for hours of small repairs. Glitter flaking of, 5 sec fix. My craft life changed after finding out how to use UV resin for sprinkles and glitter, like having another hand, and time travel in one go. :o)

    Hello ! 👋 I love the spackle and model magic sprinkles idea. I will try this. Have you purchased any Valentine items from Hobby Lobby yet ? I love the cupcake and pancakes signs they have. I purchased the pancakes sign and I am now thinking of making faux pancakes to put on a glass plate next to the sign. Have you ever made faux pancakes and waffles in a past video ?

    I love the way you present so many options. You are a very good teacher (as a teacher of over 25 years, I know one when I see one!) You said that the model magic sprinkles were your favorite. Is that because they look the most like real Jimmies sprinkles? I

  • @tkgosselin

    The spackle idea is awesome! Especially when you have left overs from a custom clor order, way less work than the polymer clay (even though they are the most realistic looking) I am not fond of the elastics or lanyards as most sprinkles don't curve and aren't shiny. Great ideas for kids though.
