Its so peaceful I cant
With drone footage we only get to see the buildings from the top down. This is a great alternative for us history buffs.

Impressive place with quite a history to it. I like how you used the walking perspective when explaining all the details of what you actually show and then also provide some cool drone shots of the complete building at the end. The walkthrough and your attention to detail is what makes it stand out. I hope people also value your preparation for explaining all the background. Great work!

The castle and the ruins normally speak for themselves, but we love walking around places like Netley abbey and appreciate your coming along to watch!

This is our favorite kind of walking tour, fun yet informative in learning some of the history and stories but still great to look at. Best of all, you keep the camera focused on what you're showing us rather than just pointing it at yourself while talking about how wonderful everything looks. Hate it when vloggers do that. Super job!

We had to watch this video because my hubby Ian had never heard of this abbey. I love how well preserved it is! So nice to see some of the roof still intact. And I was most fascinated to hear about and see the red bricks!
Glad you enjoyed it!, Netley is super close to where we live so it's always fantastic to visit, it's such an extensive site and yes, it would have been so elaborate and beautiful back in the day, if only we were born then hehe :)
In my neck of the woods, my sister lives in Netley and Ive never been to the Abbey, after watching this I think I may take a visit. A big thumbs up and thanks for sharing.

As you walk around it, it really is in great shape for what it is. Would have loved to see what the place looked like in it's prime. One the one hand the ruins are super spiffy, but then it's also sad thinking how amazing the place would also be had it not been abandoned to rot. Someday we'd like to visit "Old" Hampshire and learn a bit more about the place our home of New Hampshire was named after. We don't have a ton of ruins here, as early settlers build with wood, and that rots away, unlike all the cool stonework you guys have. Really cool tour, thanks!

We use the DJI Mini 1 - our goal this year is to upgrade to the Mavic 2 as we've had trouble with connection on the 1. But theyre such a great bit of kit arnt they?
