Thank you Captain we really enjoyed the tour and can’t wait to visit. We have to talk about Rusty he is adorable and has totally stolen my heart. We are really enjoying the live feeds and your streams looking forward to the next one 👏👏👏
Loved this tour, what a charming place Southampton is, never mind being such an historical landmark! Thanks for showing us around... please thank Mrs. Ships and Rusty for their assistance! 😊 🛳
Thanks Captain for a fascinating tour. The last time I was in Southampton was 1989 (seriously!) and I’m sure that the Bargate was in the middle of the main shopping area. It just shows how much development there has been since. Certainly Southampton looks a lovely city. The lack of old buildings shows how badly the place was damaged during the war. It was great to see Southampton from a different angle, other than that which we are used to through the webcams. As for Rusty - he’s adorable!
You are absolutely right shipmate, the Bargate was the centre of the shopping. Since Westquay being built in the late 90's the shopping has moved further north. I'll pass the message on to Rusty.
Stunning video Captain! I've never been to Southampton but after watching this walkabout I'm adding it to my list! Thank you so much for putting this together! 👍👍
Thank you Captain, thoroughly enjoyed your tour of the 12 ships Mosaics showing various historic buildings of the Old Town and the places I see on your cameras. Have passed through Southampton but never stayed over, having watched your video, a visit is on the bucket list.
Most interesting video - and what a great idea for a walking trail in the UK's greatest port city. Rather like the red line in Boston... Really enjoyed this..
Great video tour of Southampton Captain, seeing places I didn't know existed, having been many times waiting to board our cruise ship, will definetly explore a bit more next time we are down and love Rusty of course
Hello captain thanks for the video very interesting. On a couple occasions when we have visited Southampton we have got the ferry across to hythe. Best done when a ship is at Queen Elizabeth terminal you get quite close to them. Bumble round to hythe Marina. And what's the ships go by. Then get the ferry back to Southampton it makes a great day out.
Yes indeed shipmate, if you coordinate with the cruise ships and a pub lunch in Hythe, the Hythe Ferry can make a great day out. Let's hope it re-opens soon.
Ah Captain, that was an in interesting and fascinating guided tour thankyou. It's a shame Rusty didn't sniff out the chicken or manage to get a bag of crisps maybe next time. :)
