Great stuff. The chick corea has been reissued this year. Bill Evans looks good. Dury and specials are fab.

Cheers, I can’t believe I did not own a Chick record until this year. I guess that just happens with some artists. Take care, Steve.

You need to get more Chick - a lot of joy in his playing. Nice to see you back. Bill

I definitely need more Chick - the record I showed is the only one I have. Thanks for dropping by. Take care, Steve.

I picked up a Mark Murphy album on a whim and really enjoy it. Bill Evans is one of the best and that’s one I’m missing in my collection. Someday I’ll find a decent copy at a decent price. Of course Ian as well as The Specials are classics. Some new ones I’ll have to look into. Thanks for sharing

Cheers - Bill Evans is my favourite jazz artist - just always liked his playing. I have quite a few of his recordings but Everybody Digs.... is the one I return to most of all. Thanks for dropping by as always. Take care, Steve.

Soul Survivors - very nice. Also a good Nilsson album (very nice of John). The Specials - a classic.

It was very generous of John - the Nilsson album was a real surprise as I had nothing by him at all. A great listen. You can’t beat the Specials. I had a friend who lived in Coventry and in the 80s, it had its moments for sure. Concrete Jungle really reminds me of that time. Take care, Steve.

Great Vclt from John there.I love Another Diamond Day, didn't appreciate she did another decent album, will have to check that one out.Great Specials although I prefer More Specials.New Boots and Panties is great and that does look like a minty copy.Hope you had a great Christmas mate.Mind the dog!...😆

Hi Chris, hope all is well with you. The Vashti Bunyan record is well worth a listen. It is different to the first album and in some ways, better for it. Will get the reggae video together soon. Wishing you all the best for the new year. Take care, Steve.

Nice VCLT from John there. Very generous. So many quality LPs again. I have an original of the Kenny Graham LP, but it needs upgrading. £5 for that reissue is a bargain! It might be sacrilege, but I think that Lookaftering probably surpasses Diamond Day. (Ssshh). I like the story of driving to Underworld. I recall similar experiences with friends to albums. Underworld among them. The Ian Dury album I have 2 copies of. I have had the UK one for 20 odd years. A couple of years ago, in a charity shop I came across the US press with Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll opening side 2. Clever Trevor is one of my faves as well. I used knitting needles as drum sticks on occasion too...

An original of the Kenny Graham.....holy moses! Underworld were one of those bands from the early 90s that I really liked. Same with Orbital - especially their Brown album. Just brilliant. Been revisiting a lot of that stuff recently and uncovered some gems I missed the first time around. A lot of the music from that scene got really bogged down but it is ripe for rediscovery. I regret selling some of my originals to fund buying more records. Take care, Steve.

I've always sort of fancied grabbing that Soul Survivors album, never came across a copy in the wild. Only LP I have on Trunk Records is the Jose Prates Tam...Tam...Tam which I think I bought as a result of seeing a VC-er from Greece (who has long since disappeared) show it. I haven't been to a record shop in some months now, meant to go in October/November and since then restrictions have gotten tighter. I fear for my budget when I get back ;-) Happy new year to you, cheers!

I don’t think record shops will be open until the spring in the U.K. The thought of a record fair is like a distant memory. Eventually, it will all come back to us and hopefully, we will cherish it so much more.

Hello there Steve. Great to see you again. So good to see you holding up the Keith Cross & Peter Ross album. What a vocal gem. I hear so many artists on it. One of the songs {I think it was} 'Bo Radley' reminded me of a song that Freddie Mercury would be doing with Queen. I also hear The Eagles, some Beach Boys harmonies and also some Elliott Smith thrown in as well. The album really blew me away. You nailed it with the West Coast Laurel Canyonish. The only thing I can say about the album bombing when it was released is there were a slew of incredible albums coming out back then. The talent was immense in the early seventies as was the competition. I wonder how it would have fared if it was released this year? I got to catch up with the band Underworld. I heard some good stuff about them. Specials and Ian Dury = so so good. Fantastic update again brother Steve. Is it possible that your updates get better and better? I don't want to put any pressure on you. {smile} But I do enjoy them to the fullest~

Hi Rob, thanks for your kind words. The Bored Civilians record really is great. A recent discovery for me. I had never even heard of it until I read an article about it online. Just sounds wonderful and I was lucky to pick up the RSD release. Underworld are definitely worth investigating. Take care, Steve.

Hi Steve hope you had a great Christmas. A soundtracks video would be great . I’d like to get that underworld album as I pick up one by them recently. Specials and Ian dury are classics ! Loving those reggae CDs and album you sent me . Sorry I’ve not sent anything to you recently I’m working on it I promise .. all the best for 2021.. cheers Steve

Hi Rob, hope you’ve had a nice Christmas as well. The Underworld album is great. The CD version is dead cheap and essential for the car. Glad you like the Blood and Fire samplers. They are the business but picking up the vinyl is becoming extremely hard. I was lucky enough to buy the vinyl as it was issued in the 90s. Don’t go worrying about sending me anything. I don’t send to receive. I just knew that you were looking at building up a reggae collection and saw the samplers - they are just the best place to start. Pressure Sounds are issuing wonderful reggae comps at the moment and vinyl prices are excellent . Working on that soundtrack video. On a roll! Take care and hopefully, we can meet up again for some record shopping in the summer.

@@psychinthevalleys5324 yes Birmingham would maybe be a good place to meet up as it’s central for everyone .and there’s a few vc members who live in that area . My sons found teaching a challenge in 2021 hopeful once we reach the spring things will be better .. cheers Steve

I found an OG Stereo copy of the Bill Evans in a dollar bin a few years back which was crazy. It was my Alan moment lol. Nice Corea and Specials finds Steve!

OG in the dollar bin! That is incredible - the OG in my local shop is £40 and it looks like it has been stored in a shed with no roof in a Welsh winter. Love the Specials record. You never see original copies in good condition. Take care, Steve.
