my biggest tip for listening in french is just to practice listening to different levels of french like videos on youtube especially if there are FRENCH (not English) subtitles. I think listening to french while reading the words helps a lot especially if you are visual learner like me. I also recommend to just study vocabulary. in my experience, for listening portions on tests (especially unit tests) you just need to understand a few key words to figure out the answer.
