Here's my preloved Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in Monogram. This bag was made in 1985 and I absolutely love it. I knew I wanted this but I didn't expect to fall in love so much.

I just ordered a Speedy 35 made in February 1983. I’m so excited to get it! I’m definitely feeling the vintage LV vibes.

I just purchased a Speedy 30 made in 2011, perfect condition too. I first bought a DE speedy 30 in the LV store and I loved it so much I started to search a mono one and found mine, amazing price, beautiful honey color on the vachetta. I had it hot stamped this week and I have the same monogram strap that you use with your 25, just in case I need to go hands free.
Lillian Gago Wow..that's so cool. It's amazing when you find good deals. I can never get enough of the Speedy, especially in the Mono print. It's handy having the strap to hand, although I don't use it that often with my Speedy, I feel more relaxed leaving the house knowing I have the option to be hands-free. A huge congratulations on your new purchase. I'm so happy for you =)

Hi I rec'd my speedy 30 it arrived very fast and it looks great! Oh the year is 1983 . It was well taken care of just needed a little leather conditioner and a new home 😊 . This is my second LV bag and now I'm addicted! !

@@YuennyLam I have got that vintage speedy 30 just next day I saw your video. It's from the second hand shop here in Japan actually. My boyfriend gave me LV bandeau as a bday gift this summer, so now I decorated my speedy a bit with that :) It's a really nice bag, can suit with so many types of outfits, I have been enjoying carrying around this much! I definitely recommend a vintage Speedy because the quality is different and you get to save a lot of money. I just love how the bag has the 'used' look with soft canvas
Yuenny Lam : ok now i got a speedy 30 vintage: but it seems like the prints on canvas faded slightly changed the colour. But not much, still looks good. Is it normal u think?

Great video. Your vintage one is in excellent shape! I just bought a 12 year-old one and really enjoy how it's so worry free. I didn't want to buy a new Speedy with the light vachetta, so I really love my medium honey patina. I was just about to mention getting your zipper to work better with candle wax, but you already knew that trick! Enjoy your new bag. P.S. I would never guess you were born in the 80s :) You look very young.
+Clarey Cotter Congratulations on your find. I love how worry-free this bag is as well. I do take it out even when it's drizzling and there are no water marks on the handles. I love it so much. Yeah, the candle wax seems to have worked for now. Hopefully I won't have to actually take it in to replace the zip as a) it'll cost money and b) I'll be without this baby for a long time. Thank you. You're so sweet. I was indeed born in the 80's and I am very fortunate to still have nice-ish skin. I think my hour-long skin care routine every night might actually work hehe.... I do have bag organisers, but I don't like that I can fit less in the bag. And I do love slouchy bags, so it doesn't bother me, but thanks for the advice.
What do yoh use as brass cleaner? And do you mind if I ask how much you get the bag? It's a very good 80's bag. I'm planning to get one and would like to know the accetable proce range for this bag. Thank you very much! 😊
Marites Idago I use Brasso and cotton buds to clean the brass. Some people use toothpaste and it seems to work as well. I paid GBP £200 for this bag and depending on condition I think it can range from £200 to £500. I think around £400 for a relatively good condition is a fair price. Hope this helps =)

I currently have a Saumur 30 and a monogram petit noe both are vintage. I would like to have a monogram speedy in vintage and I will be all set, I think! Lol
Selina Browning I love vintage too. I got mine from eBay. I think she's called all_brand_shop_Japan. I've sent my bag to have the zip replaced. The fact they'll replace the zip means the bag is authentic. I had a vintage Petit Noe but I sold it this summer. I have considered the Alma but I prefer slouchy bags. I'd love the Saumur 30. I'm looking out for one in good condition. Another seller is next_innovation. Hope this helps =)

No problem. I paid GBP £203 for this one and brand new it's currently £550. Older bags are just better quality in my opinion and I just love vintage. Finding preloved can be time-consuming sometimes but I'm never in a hurry to buy anything and I love browsing the preloved market so whenever something comes up I have a think about it and decide if I really want it. I'm so in love with this bag and so glad I can finally tick it off my list =)

Alleb Losgano I'm afraid that's not a valid LV date code. It should be two letters and four numbers that indicate the month or week and the year. Unfortunately it's not a genuine code. I'm sorry =(

what camera do you use hun? Is it affordable?
I use various cameras. For the talking part I use my Fujifilm X20, close-ups I use either Nikon D3100 or Canon 60D and when I vlog I use my Panasonic V180 camcorder. All the mentioned cameras range from GBP £150-700. Some of them are older models purchased years ago so prices will vary. Hope this helps =)

+YUNIQ Today thank you! just another quick question, unrelated to this speedy video- I have a pochette metis and Id like a mini pochette as a downsizing catch-all to go inside; most I've seen on the preloved market are only $35-50 USD less than retail- would you just buy new for peace of mind as it isn't hugely substantial? would love your advice! :)
+blackdragon482 Personally, yes I would rather buy new for a Mini Pochette and in case there are problems with it then you can take it straight back to LV if you have purchased it directly from the store or online. The Mini Pochette here I think is currently £178 which is a very good price for what you get. I prefer buying SLGs new unless it's a discontinued item because you don't generally save that much (IMO). What print do you have in mind (just out of interest)?
+YUNIQ Today i'm struggling with the print- I love damier azur in small pieces but I have seen wear and tear videos which show rubbing off of the screen print. With damier ebene, I worry the print will wear away to reveal reddish tones as with my Neverfull corners! I do feel this print will wear the best in terms of patina and showing dirt. As for monogram, I have quite a few pieces in this print though I find it to be my favorite ;) I have been looking at the limited edition pieces however I am afraid I'll tire of the prints- akin to a tattoo that I grow out of love with! #firstworldproblems
+blackdragon482 Tricky but that's the advantage with small items is that they're more affordable than bags so you can test them out easier. I personally wouldn't get SLGs in DA (however pretty and attractive they are) because I feel like the light coloured canvas will get very dirty (especially the corners) being thrown around inside my bags. I think a little wear on DE and Mono is inevitable but it'll definitely be less obvious. I have the LE Mini Pochette in Mono that I purchased in 2009 and there's no wear on the outside other than the limited edition print has rubbed ever so slightly but if it wasn't an LE piece then the one I have will still look brand new. I have mine in my bag every single day.

Thank you for watching =) Yes, I did pay a little, but I don't remember how much. From memory and other experiences I have had, I think it works out to be about 20% of the value of the item. I think my bag was about £200 and the customs plus admin fees etc worked about to be about £20-ish. It's based on the value of the item, so obviously the more the items cost the more tax you're going to pay. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions x

You're very welcome. It depends on your budget and what you are after. The reason I bought this bag preloved is because I specifically wanted a vintage (made in the 80's) Speedy, so even though the item is available to buy new, I still went for preloved x

i love the look of a vintage bag, but i'm not sure of getting it at ebay bec of some bad review. any advice.
I love vintage bags too. Actually everything vintage I'm a fan of. When buying preloved it's always good to do a lot of research and know what you are looking for to identify authentic LV items, e.g. date code, stitching, details etc. I would always advise getting something authenticated before buying, and I would even go as far as getting it authenticated again when you receive the item (in case they send you something that isn't what they listed). I would also ask the seller a few questions and ask for extra photos if the listing doesn't cover what you want to see. Even if their listing is thorough, still ask them questions and see how they respond for example, why they're selling (if not mentioned) or where did they buy it from. Genuine sellers would be willing to help you feel confident that you're buying an authentic item. I have had sellers who got very annoyed by my questions and some who never even replied so I tend to stay away from those sellers. Reason 1) if they can't be bothered to be helpful then I don't want to buy from them and 2) if they don't try and do everything to fill me with confidence then I wouldn't want to take the risk. Hope this has helped and let me know if you have any other questions or would like me to clarify anything =)
