I have the speedy 35 that I bought about 11 years ago. It still looks brand new. The leather is the only thing that has gotten darker, but I love that look.

I haven't treated the leather with anything yet (i need to!). Its already gotten some marks on it from just oil and water, so I need to find something asap. Ive honestly been scared to treat the leather because I dont want to accidentally ruin it since ive never had to treat leather before, but I want to protect it as much as I can so if i find something to treat it, ill let you know 😊💕
You can use a non alcohol baby wipe to clean it down. Its canvas so it’s easy to wipe it down. 😉, also for the handles. The guy and lady at the LV store said to not let the sun hit it or rain.
Love it. But no strap!! Bag wasn’t designed to support the weight from there. It will rip off overtime 😭
That's why I hardly ever use the strap and don't recommend. It is nice to have to use in a situation where you need both of your hands and don't want to put your bag on the ground 🙂

Thank you so much for subscribing! I haven't treated mine yet, but I need to! Mine already has a few watermarks and spots on the leather. I know overtime, the leather will patina, but I need to treat it so I can keep it looking new as long as possible and to prevent all those marks 😊
I have the Pochette Metis and i sprayed it with apple guard. Best decision since i live in texas it rains here alot. But you can also wrap it with a bandeau.
I also spray mine with Apple Brand Garde and use Bick 4 leather conditioner to clean and protect it ☺️

I've read that the Keepall was in 1930, the Speedy in 1932 and the Alma in 1934 :) I'm no expert, but that's what I've read.

I have a monogram like yours in 35 and a Damier Ebene in 30. The 40 is quite huge, it is basically the precursor to the Keepall, which is a travel duffel. I agree with you on the strap, I simply get used to carrying it by the handles. It's funny, whether it is a hand carry, wrist carry or shoulder bag, it doesn't bother me I just carry it how it is meant to be carried. I know for some people one way or the other is preferable.
