    Recently purchased one of these for my wife's cartoon studio voice acting. Really tames her sibilance issue that often occurs when she uses large condenser mics. (So, handy for studio too!)

    Thank for the review, but here is an idea, instead of bemoaning the effect of people "eating" the mic, just have them come off it a bit. As for the dropping, it would have to be a heck of a drop to dent the Sure, I have one of each and I would just leave it at pattern and taste, you chose. The dropping, rolling, poor mic technique is down to the user not the mic no? But again, thanks for the vid.

      You can't always ask to change human nature; especially when habitual performance habits take over. And if it was't an issue, I wouldn't be bringing it up. As for dropping and rolling... its like a motorcycle... in class they say when you tip over, not If you tip over... because it will happen at some point.. you only have 2 wheels. Not so much with more than 2 wheels... Why not make a better design to fix all the issues.

      @@purewaveaudio true, though when I was a singer I did have it practically in my mouth but didn't have that much of a problem and of course there is always an argument for creating equipment that minimises the issue. Having said that, this is not one of them IMO and all of this is of course down to our opinions. As for the dropping, sadly I have dropped an SM58 a times and the problem is not, again IMO, anything like an issue, the thing is practically indestructable, sure you can dent the grill but hell it takes a lot, almost more effort than it takes to move the mic slightly away! Anyway, good video and clearly a conversation starter and as I say, I am someone with both. Have a great day and will watch out for more of
      your content.

    Why not the Shure Beta58a for comparison?

    • @krish2542
      @krish2542 4 роки тому +2

      Because Beta58a is pricier than these two.

      and I used the v7 on stage for 2 years ,,it's beter dan de shure sm 58 ,,it has more clear sound more open. It feels like somone open de EQ on 4k.. love it. before I had AKG but this is beter. I'm a singer and producer on pro-tools. So.....SE V7 Beautifull stage mic.

      @@krish2542 yes, but any serious musician will only be interested in how it compares to the best microphones out there. The price doesn't matter, as long as it's affordable.

      @@fritskoch3133 out of AKG D5 and SE V7 what would you recommended for female live vocals?

    Hi. Nice work the vid. Do you think this would be a good choice for a singing guitarist? U know sometimes we have to look down at the neck so it pulls the mouth out of line. Thanks

      It can be. You would probably have to have it a little further away so if you are moving your head the super cardioid pattern is still getting everything. If you need it close up to you, then moving your head will be an issue and your vocal volume will drop.

    I still like the SM58 better.

    Is this mic better than the e835 iyo?

    • @Altair4611
      @Altair4611 Рік тому

      @The Caring Adolf Hitler I have the se v7, It is pretty flat and neutral. If you were to compare it to the e835 the e835 will sound probably sound brighter. Because of this the e835 will probably handle proximity effect better because the brightness will counter act the bassiness. One issue I have with my v7 is it picks up emf easily from things like computer screens, so dont get it close to electronics. The v7 handles background noise extremely well because of its polar pattern (super cardioid) so that is a big plus (e835 is cardioid).

    People who are eating their mics make me sad, man.
