We were told right of the bat that this is a fairy tale for adults. Old time fairy tales were not pretty like now. They were used as cautionary tales, with heart stopping fear, chaos & violence. When we see Apollo on the NYC streets, following William's text map, he's in a sea of people on the move. Almost like a wave. He's the only one stopped. He's out of sync with everyone else. Possibly William too. That's hint 1. Hes entered another world at least in his head space. Hint 2. The red string holds wishes. Now Apollo has it on his wedding ring finger indicating one of his wishes maybe to find Emma. That's why Apollo could find the island when William couldn't. Hint 4. There were so many clues and hints in this episode but you wouldn't notice them if you didn't watch closely and listen carefully. It's that kind of show. A thinking person's show. Loved your recap. I'll be be back for your next. Thx
Excellent episode👏🏽 I think William is a fairy and there's a war coming between the Witches and the Fairies. He bounced back from that beating like nothing happened. He's talks about a calvalry coming if he doesn't go with Apollo. He just seems to need Apollo in order to get into whatever mischief he's doing.
I think William is a fairy and stole Bryan. Because Emma was getting pictures of Bryan and the baby out by a unknown number and then the message would disappear and in this episode William admitted he read about Bryan being born in a train and then followed him after.
Yeah his involvement is all too convenient, it's gonna be interesting to see where this is going, ilL be buying the book but I'll wait to read until it's over x
Maybe red is for witches and blue is for fairies? Maybe Apollo is mixed with fairy and witch? The men seem to be the fairies and the witches are the women. I’m just throwing stuff out there to make sense of this lol
You know what, you might be right bc Apollo has been seen wearing both red and blue at the same time.. 👀 I think his dad was a fairy and his mom was a witch. I don’t think the mother knew apollos dad was a fairy though. This would kind of justify why she is almost in disgust with him.. and in this episode when she throws the red luggage her lip is busted.. 👀
@@adilenesnunez5378 that is what I’m thinking as well. I also wonder how do the fairies glamour people? Was Apollo Dad glamouring him when he came to visit so he wouldn’t remember and tell his mom. 🤔
I soo Wanna get my hands on the book and finish it by next weeks episode but it’ll prob take that long to arrive lol It’s just so hard watching one episode a week, leaving the viewer in suspense for that long 😖
I bought the ebook and finished it in about 2 days. I'm still waiting and watching to see how everything will play out. It's been pretty much verbatim as of now. Also, the author is the narrator of the show.
Hi, if the color red is for witches and color blue is for fairies, I think Apollo's Dad was switched out for a fairy and like BrainPilot stated in another realm where Brian could be which is why he disappeared but then showed up, puffing that blue smoke out his mouth. The reason why I am saying that he was replaced by a fairy is because of the blue smoke but also because he seemed like he was so into Apollo's Mom and his son so it is very out of character for him to just up and leave to me.
Absolutely loving it, especially the way they deal with horror, it's subtle, it's hidden, the score sets Avery uneasy tone that bleeds into my own reality, as a single father raising a four year old alone, it makes me question my own parenting, will I be good enough, can I do better, It amplifies both my fears and hopes for things in the same stroke, The actors do a fascinating job, I'm glad the author is heavily involved x Great vids, keep em coming 🙏 plz
I just finishing this episode. This is a really great series. Yea I’m super suss on William..kinda hard not to be with all the coincidences and information he keeps holding back.
I'm not gonna lie I feel the same when he says that. It's a bit like, why? He thinks he's a superhero or something. But outside of that, the show is very good!
@@BrainPilot I look at it as a way he hypes himself up, his dad seemingly told him that phrase as a kid before he left so he holds onto it. I guess it gives him courage
@@carcosa002 that’s fair. It could have been a little more finessed imo. Those grandiose deliveries feel really distracting and left field when not supported with a stronger reason. LaKieth & Clark are doing some great acting in this show but the swings from down-to-earth Brooklyn dude to “I am a god” with a Thor-ish delivery is strange.
@@justinwilliams2919 yeah, the shouting once he found Cal's place was pretty extreme. Maybe it will be explained later on why the delivery is so random.
William said his family is from Norway and wasnt Emma taking a picture naked for some photographer from a nordic nation when she travelled? We never circled back to this yet and why she did it. Does he have something to do with the picture or knows the photographer? In northern Europe fairies are a big thing so I think William might hide some more knowledge about all this or hes not a normal human himself. But Emma herself could also be something different...what we heard about her when her parents died in that fire was weird. She had this thing in her eyes. But if shes a changeling too, then she would have seen through fake Brian right away maybe and not after some time. But apart from that....all I see in Cal is Malcolms Mom 😂
3:04 but it’s also referred to as the gates of hell which is very curious indeed why choose this island another thing that’s interesting too is that William could not find this island for the life of him meaning that the witches here probably also put up a shield or a barrier or some sort of curtain that either affects beings like him or people who are blind to the supernatural but he’s not clearly a normal person he may bleed like a man but there’s certain things that are off
Ok ok ok, wait , hold on , everyone shut up and let me talk ! 😂 jk so I think I got it , William is a Nuckelavee. Btw, in all reality I probably could’ve read the book or listen to the book and figure it out, but I wanna don’t wanna do that.😂 so the narrator says something about a shapeshifter ,well the Nuckalavee creature can shape-shift on land according to the folklore about it. Actually Shape shift and they are demons in mythology in the folklore . They’re like a water hose evil type of thing. But being he is Norwegian he could be a Nókk or Nokken, either way ,he is evil
Mmmmm....I wonder if this is why the women "drowned" Apollo in the fountain - to see if water would expose him as a shapeshifter, and why they didn't kill him when they saw he wasn't one.

That’s an awesome theory! Yeah there is no reason why William should have survived what happened unless there were some mystical powers at play!

The “I am the god Apollo” lines really take me out of it. Some of the writing is cringy but it’s shot really well.

Almost like it’s based on a book and those lines are there for a reason or something

So had to make sense of, but you are on to something. Thanks for explaining, I was ready to give up on this series.
Glad I could help!

I think Apollos dad is a fae and possibly like fae royalty.😂😂 seriously idk why I don’t just read the darn book. Damm you technology 😂
William says he’s got “tech friends” and i bet that’s how he’s sending those pics to phones and having them disappear

The norwegian immigrant-ancestors of william brought a troll in the book, but I guess they changed it toa sort of a dragon monster in the show.
maybe that islands Avalon
4 episodes?
I don't have the patience to keep focused with this TV show
Haha, it’s definitely worth it though!
Then maybe more simple american garbage like Marvel is for you. This is for once a good american show. Rare these days.
