I discuss the story which was focussed on Apollo meeting the Wise Ones and Cal, and also William Wheeler revealing himself to be Kinder Garten. I react to other characters such as Emma, The Sorceress, The Fairies, The Witches and also The Trolls. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 6.

I just remembered that witch saying be careful what you wish for
William speaks Norwegian in the episode. Someone on the subreddit translated it as "How funny!" (shouted twice) followed by "Don't play" and then "I'm going to watch you die!" three times. He says "Don't forget me, Brother" in English because he's still trying to trick Apollo into trusting and helping him, but in his apparently native tongue he's fuming. He's totally the troll, it's definitely a double entendre, and he's also the guy who sent the disappearing messages.
Nice catch on those parallel shots of Emma looking back! I missed that.
I was watching Hellboy, and in the movie the fairies switched out their baby for a changeling. So I feel like the baby was really taken by fairies and Emma is out there looking for her actual baby.

He’s an experienced coder so that’s how he’s able to send and unsend messages.
He has a fairy like appearance especially on his ID pics in the previous episode
I am relieved they finally gave us some more lore and context to what might be happening. the story felt dragged out a bit but now things are being really well paced and extremely happy with the show. I most want to know, who or what is Apollo. It would be interesting to learn that he is just as powerful as Emma, and Brian could be a formidable being as well.

I was a bit frustrated with the over and over riddle speaking by Cal and the lack of progress on her part to actually tell Apollo where they are and what is that place. The flash backs and stuff with William was cool and great set up to the rest of the story but get on with it already !!
I feel like there should be more revealed in the next episode - especially with it being the 'aftermath'
the more i watch the more confused i am and how i have more questions than before. it's like the show is written for people who already know the book's universe

You guys have to keep in mind that this is a fairy tale, it’s dark as shit but it still follows the same tropes: Emma is the witch, Apollo is either the Prince or he’s the hybrid of a fairy and witch, it still would put him in the Prince roll, Apollo Dad is more than likely the Fae King, the witches in this fairy tale are on the side of good, akin to the “white witch” hence Callisto white hair signifying as such.

It is a fairy tale that Emma an Apollo has entered but their is nothing magical or mystical about them. Apollo and Emma are Alice and when the string was cut they entered wonderland.

You missed one line from the book that was very important "The young one is gone but they'll never know. In its a place a thing without life, hard and cold." This makes me actually happy in a sense. I don't think Emma actually killed Baby Brian. Baby Brian is still alive and Emma killed something else. Hopefully that's exposed more during this season.

Ok, yall. At the end of the episode, when William shows his "true" face, isn't that Apollo's father, Brian'???? Somebody please go and look. Maybe I'm seeing things but that face looks like Apollo's father to me. 😮
Nope. They made that actor (Samuel T. Herring from the band Future Islands) look younger instead of older (which they did for when he's posing as William) and maybe gave him some creepy contacts. He doesn't look like Apollo's dad.

Ok. I looked again. William is DEFINITELY Apollo's dad, Brian. What that means? I don't know. I just know without a shadow of a doubt, William IS Brian. Apollo wouldn't know Brian's face, because he only saw it with the stocking cap thingy on it.
Apollo saw his father's face in the dream where he comes to take him away. He takes off the mask and blows blue smoke. Also: William transforms and looks like a younger version of himself, who looks nothing like Brian Sr..
@@SaynaTheSpiffy You are right, Apollo did see his dad's (Brian's) face when he blew the smoke. Ok, but please look again, hear me out on this (this is all in good fun 😊), maybe William is NOT Brian, but maybe he used "glamour" in that moment to "look" like Brian. I CANNOT refute your point that Apollo "should" know what Brian looks like, but maybe it was for us the "viewers" to see, but nor Brian. The more I think about it, maybe the show is trying to break the "fourth" wall, by making us see somethings that maybe others can or cannot see just like the mothers can see the change in their babies that others cannot see, but I PROMISE YOU, if you can find the right still shot, William does transform into Brian even if it is only a millisecond. Just like baby Brian with Emma. Your initial response has made me reized that William may NOT be Apollo's dad, Brian, but he did use "glamour" to transform himself into Brian for a quick second where Apollo, NOR the viewers would catch it. I do not think William is Brian anymore. I just think he used "glamour" for a split second to appear as Brian, and it was so subtle Apollo nor us the viewers would catch it, but I promise you, go slow down and pause, you will see it, even if only a brief second.
That makes such an interesting twist!
William called Apollo brother, so it could be Apollo's father is in some kind of relation with William, that's for sure. My question is if fairies swapped Brian for changeling, where is Brian? Is Cal one of the fairies? Could she know where Brian is?
That would be interesting if William was related to Apollos father! I definitely think Brian has been swapped for a Changeling. I think Brian could be with the Fairies and Emma has gone to find him. Cal may have told her where to go and that could be where she'll tell Apollo to go too.
Brian seemingly swapped back and forth. If you turn on subtitles, it says “Brian coos”/“Changeling snarled”

@LuxeLex444 I noticed that they did not provide a translation for what William was saying, only that he was speaking in Spanish and Norwegian. I changed the captions to Norwegian, and there still wasn't a caption for what he was saying.
Sidebar: I was able to watch the episode on Thursday. Did anyone else have that opportunity even though the release days are on Friday?

Could Apollo be a Witch/Fairy hybrid himself (Changeling)? I believe his mom was a witch and his father a fairy. A half human fairy is called a Changeling....
I just rewatched this episode before watching new one- and the scene in the Brazilian woods - the man with Emma and the fruit - could it be a hint for Adam and the garden of Eden so Emma is embodiment of Lilith, the 1st wife of Christ?

The sad thing about this show is the small minded viewers that's terrible when it comes to mystery box shows, lowv IQ viewers expect answers in the second episodes 🤦🏾♂️

ur confusing iq with patience, they build up so much suspence and when it unveils its not even worth wasting ones time on the show. i got hooked up on the show with their intros, great acting and production but the story line has alot of unnecessary parts which don't contribute in anyway to the main show.. gotta say i had so much anticipation on the show when it started but it jst seems like a waste of time by now seems they might make the same mistakes the book had

@aiyabeiconch1181 I completely agree...For example...I was expecting Emma's photo with the Norwegian guy to be witchlike...It looked like an ordinary photo...It could have been shown much earlier...Up to this point...things have seemed underwhelming.

Apollo seeing William transformation should have been huge red flag. Apollo should pulled up a gun and shot him right then and there

I agree the story is intriguing, I just wish it wasn’t so poorly directed with gimmicks. The acting can’t make up for everything. I almost turned it off with reveal the Emma did know how to do screen shots. It was such a bad plot whole, that she wasn’t.
Lol, that's fair! I'm not gonna lie - i'm not a big fan of when Apollo chants 'I am the god Apollo'. I just can't see anybody doing that in real life. So that was an interesting choice to make!
@@BrainPilot that didn’t bother me. I’ve never known anyone named Apollo. I described the director as a Kmart M. Night Shyamalan. Insteadof having a subtlety about what’s revealed and what isn’t. This director makes it very obvious something is being left out and will spend extra time driving it in. Like when William got beat up at the end of that episode. What followed felt like 5 minutes of the director waving flags and screaming, “ you want to know what’s going don’t you? But I’m not going to tell you. I’m clever. You don’t think so? My mother says I am, and that’s all that matters. “
