I have a theory: William planted "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the estate sale and that is the same time at which he swapped baby Brian with the changeling. William asked Apollo to tell him about how he found the book and that evening that he found it was the first night that baby Brian latched to nurse from Emma.
I also thought about this,, especially when Apollo first went in da basement a noise came from somewhere and he sat baby Brian down while looking threw the books
Y’all excuse the “Tripod (Typhoid ) Mary” my apple notes played in face yesterday and I didn’t notice until it was too late 🤣 sounds exotic though! 🤔 Thank you to Luna during live it makes a lot of sense that Apollo was only able to see the island because he tied that red string on his finger. ❤👏🏾
When I heard "tripod" not once but TuWICE I was like WAYMENT!?😳 I KNOW somethin's up 'cause mah gurl don't make mistakes like that. Your review was on-point as per usual. Find JOY and SHARE it. LuvYa 🙌🏽💚👴🏽
Emma Here is why: I am rewatching the first few episodes. In episode 2 I realized something crazy: every view we see of Baby Brian is a different looking baby. Face, size, race, shade of skin. I am talking about the scene leading up to Apollo meeting Patrice at the house with the books. From Apollo's house, the drive and at the abandoned house the baby changes several times. I took screen grabs and sure enough different babies.
I have been looking for someone black to review/explain this show ever since I started binging it this weekend. You can imagine how many videos on YT fall short of explaining or addressing very clear racial things that aid in the plot. Thank you!
William was suspect to me onsite! Especially when he was videoing the lady then turned around and said "I don't know why I did that!" 😒 yea right William, what are you really up too! 🤔
Omg I don’t have enough energy to type everything I noticed but now that the story has deepened. Rewatch from episode one and pay attention to all of the accessories and pictures Apollo comes across. Specifically the picture of his mom before he picks up the fairytale book. And how the sister is always bringing up telling him the third wish and always stop short. But the sister says she has flowers dropped off every week. I feel like the grave will be significantly more important than we think. William is definitely some creature as to why he alluded to creatures and stuff along with why he wasn’t behind Apollo while he announced his arrival on the island. He later mentions he always searched for the island but couldn’t see it until Apollo tagged along bc William is something that the wise ones are trying to stay hidden from. Hence why Cal instantly gets beat down and sentenced to death. But again he’s not normal bc how the hell he still alive or even got that much pep in his step after those crazy hits. There’s more too but y’all get the jist
Damnnn now I done got started if you pay attention to Apollos dad on the first date when saying he wants a baby he ends his statement with “I want a redo”
Also when you see the narration animation of that Norwegian ship . Right when the Narrators mentions they were going to die at seas then they got help look closely at the ship you will see 2 sea creatures pull up on the side of the ship to either steady it or guide it through the storm. Im thinking both Emma and Apollo have some sort of Norwedian ancestry on their European side.
The first episode I was so confused because I thought that backstory was gonna be about Emma and her family after seeing the White Dad. But when I saw the little boy I was even more lost then realized that boy grew into Lakeith?! I said oh this show has some unbelievable shit but Lakeith Stanfield a black/white biracial is the most unbelievable part of this show! 😂
She never got to the 3rd wish because Apollo cut it off. Remember the witch told her not to remove it. When the 3rd wish happens it would automatically fall off. But he cut it.
Has anyone notice how many times Apples are featured in the series? I noticed on a rewatch. When Emma first meets Apollo and says "Can you hear my voice", she's eating an apple. Each time she refuses a date. she's eating an apple. When Apollo meets Emma and her friend at the restaurant , before she goes into labor, there's an entire back wall behind the maitre full of apples. This is not in the book so I'm not sure why it's there but I thought that's curious. Anyone have any thoughts on it?
I automatically associate apples with witches due to fairytales and old Disney. And I swear every person in cinema that eats an apple on screen, has malicious intent.😩
Not the same kind of mythology, but I thought about the image of Eve biting the apple in the story of the original sin. More to do with painting Emma as a temptress than mythical creatures there tho
Unrelated but your drip is so cool! Love the nails and contrast eyeshadow 🙌 The show has me totally gripped, did you clock the blue effects when the island appeared? I really want to read the book but don’t want to spoil myself
Im loving this show. The book is a mess. I couldn't finish the book because it was all over the place. But this show has me hooked. There are alot of questions that need to be answered. I just hope we get answers and not a cliffhanger end.
I thought maybe the red suitcase held Apollo's father's remains or maybe the changeling that once was Apollo. I did notice the boat's name was Child's Play, I don't know if it is important or not. I actually think William is a fairy of some sort, and maybe he exchanges the babies and replaces them with changeling. They said when they captured Apollo that he was annoying like his wife. I think Emma is searching for her baby. She went to the island and he wasn't there. These are all just speculations, though, because I am so confused. 🖤
None of us can be sure of anything at this point, but I’m definitely down for William being a fairy or some sort of creature the obsession he seems to have with Brian would fall in line with him swapping him out!
19:03 I can tell that you trying to hold you laugh at the end cause it's starting to get wild like a Oscar bait movie tends to do with the artistic storytelling.
That would be crazy like why the hell would you wish for that?! But that would explain Emma seeking the witch out, even though she was told not to I went back to watch episode 1 you can see that she visited the witch more than once by the river to maybe contemplate her decision. But if that’s the case, why would she even mention the red string to Apollo or allow him to cut it off? 🤔
@StruggleReviewzTV she was ready to fulfill her wishes. Go back and listen to the witch. She tells her. That's when Apollo says the Emma I know would never hurt her child. That's because the witch has taken over her body. When the ribbon was cut from her wrist, the camera pans back to the witch knowing it has begun. Emma never was the same because Emma became the witch. The cctv footage proves it
I love this show and I love your context takes. I trust Patrice over William. Despite William saying “I cannot lot lie,” I trust Patrice more because of the call to Apollo’s moon after dinner: they both care about him. I feel like there’s a color attribution here that aligns Apollo more with his father (their verbiage if nothing else, let alone their parenting goals.) I think Patrice, Jillian, and Emma are all strong people who choose to love the one they’re with rather than whomever accepts. (No shade; just thinking out loud.) I think William is a grown up changeling. He’s the “replacement.” Also… Seelie vs Unseelie?
William shouldn’t be trusted at all. Patrice hasn’t don’t anything for me to be suspicious of him🤷🏽♀️. I would’ve reacted to William the same exact way he did. he’s a weird white guy, making strange comments, and access to a shit tone of money.
I trust Patrice over William ALL DAY. Patrice has been gruff but upfront with Apollo, from “why we’re friends” to “call your mom.” His personality reminds me of Lily as well, especially compared to his wife/Emma’s sister, who tend to me more supportive and soft spoken. In fact, I think Brian West even fit that mold. Love your content. Keep it up! ❤❤❤

Yea I thought it was odd that he laid the baby on the floor and just kept looking through boxes
That’s totally believable! 🤔
Yeah cuz he was obviously the one taking pictures of them so he WAS there
Excellent👏🏽 find! It makes sense. When the season is over I will rewatch.

This is a deep story. Everything means something. Micro & macro. It definitely needs to have the female perspective discussed .
This series has such great actors. Love LaKeith and will support any thing he does.
I don't believe Patrice is the account that posted about them being on the water. I don't trust anything that comes from William LOL

It’s on Apple TV?
something to do with a witch. like the witch who gave snow white the poison apple

You'll still enjoy the tv show. Reading it will add another layer of depth to your experience cuz this fairy tale is deep!
Thank you 😊 and no I did I’m definitely going to go back and look. I will definitely be reading the book after this!

🖤 Here for shared confusion addiction
I don't want to spoil I just advise you to view it from a women's POV since it's a story about Emma as it relates to her 3 wishes.
I will definitely notate that❤
agree100%
Haven't read the book but Emma's first 2 wishes lean toward traditional goals. Good man. Healthy child.
@@ritab5620 on a rewatch ask yourself that question again.

I have a theroy that humble pie means to see what the world actually looks like. kinda like in berserk with the mark of sacrifice
Ohhh that’s smart I didn’t think of that
That’s a good one ❤️
Berserk is the best story ever
I dont think Apollo should trust any one

The third wish was to become a sorceress. Which the sorceress she made the deal with agreed for her life. So sorceress took over her life.

Also look for the color red and blue. Red signify witches. Suitcase, background, ext. Blue signify fairies. Patrice and Apollo wears blue.
The 3rd wish is a fairy tale life. But the friend said sorcerer. Maybe a magical life.

You should put the title in the name of the episode cuz when you go to UA-cam and search changeling your videos aren’t showing up
UA-cam has had me shadow banned for a while now I will try but I doubt it will pop up either way❤️
@@StruggleReviewzTV ahhh that sucks. Try playing lite music in the background while showing clips or just show pics. UA-cam sucks!

I think it’s the dad. Because she said she reached out to her old boss to help get Apollo get out of jail episode 3
