I think it'd be cool if all the "primitive technology" channels (the channels like this one.) came together and made a big village.

They aren't all in the same country so that would take a lot of organising, several differing regions and languages involved. They'd all need to make themselves available, sceduling it around other work/family commitments, find and aggree on a site that is acceptable to all then obtain permission to use the site ect ect... be a logistical nightmare so I don't really see it happening. But yes, it would be cool if it could be done.

the best of them are from Vietnam including him, both primitive life and survival skill primitive. primitive Technology is from Australia, but he is never available, and the Cambodians are not really worth it. all they do is dig holes and hunt near extinct animals.

couldn't be. it came from the rain the night before. the problem is, it's an old rice paddy and if it remains like that, his house could flood when the monsoon came. with the ditch, the water has somewhere to go and will not settle there.

I realize this was and still is in some areas, the way of life of your country. If you lived it growing up, it is almost second nature to know how to do these things for you. Nevertheless, I am increasingly impressed with the well thought out, careful choreografing and skill level of your demonstrations. Without saying a word, you show almost without questions needed, exactly how to accomplish what you are creating. Well done!

making a switch valve where he can lift a piece and move to another funnel that directs the water further down away from the home, toward that small body of water is the next idea. This way, his entrance isnt all flooded, and he can easily lift the switch valve/piece of bamboo back to the closer funnel.

For me, the one thing that sets this guy apart from all the others is his use of stone tools as a tool set, not a single axe you use everything for. You'll see many different kinds of stones, like the small 'chisel' he uses. It's not everyone would think to do right away, and for that I think he is the cleverest of the primitive bunch.

If any of you are keen on leaving modern society (It's obviously fucked), then help me build a town at some sort of island or coastline. It will be based on something right out of the early 18th century, and there will only be "pre-industrial age" technology used. The town is to be built, inspired by Nassau or some other colony in the 18th century Bahamas. Islands or other acreage cost a lot of money, but if we are many, and we all sell our properties, it should be easy to afford the island/land and resources needed. I really don't think it should be a problem to sell your property and unnecessary belongings, if you are planning to leave modern society anyways. A couple of islands I have in mind are, Matana South seas plantation, Igoigoli Island and Whitsunday Island. There are also some coastal areas that could be used. Maybe something in New Guinea. Too be honest coastal areas are likely a more viable solution than small islands. Acreage bought off the mainland is way cheaper than islands that are the same size.
Remember that if one person gets a couple followers those followers might also get some, and then we have a chain reaction. This is possible guys. If you are interested, then like my comment so other people can see that you are interested. Contact me on email: emiladefoged@gmail.com

The way it is, it will be easily blown away by a weak typhoon. However, he is only showing the basics. I grew up in a similar environment and the way we built it is much more sturdier. For example, we do not split the bamboo, we just remove the dividers by chiselling out on the nodes. This makes the bamboo a tube. This is much stronger than splitting. Then we used bigger posts and tie the tubes more securely than how he had shown here. It has lasted us years even with strong storms. Im sure he knows how to do this but he used just stone tools and purposely did not use iron tools like chisels and machetes.

You seem like you know a lot of useful stuff that could be helpful in the following project: If any of you are keen on leaving modern society (It's obviously fucked), then help me build a town at some sort of island or coastline.
