I work at a nursing home and a woman came in to visit her husband. We chatted for a minute while she signed in and then she said, "Well, I'm off to see the love of my life." I said, "Aw, that's so sweet. How long have you been together?" She said they were high school sweethearts and he "still makes my toes tingle when he kisses me." It was sooo cute!!
I know some very amazing straight people. Some of the best people in my life are straight. My cousin when his girlfriend got hit by a truck spent every single day in the hospital room with her and would argue with her father that he had every right to be there. And when she woke up the first thing she saw was my cousin's face. Unfortunately life is very unfair and his girlfriend passed away in the hospital shortly after. Her father was at work when he got the phone call my cousin was sitting next to her holding her hand as she drew her last breath. When I told him I was bisexual he told me that he hopes that I find someone like he did No matter who they happened to be. He would love them just as much as he loves me. That mindset is how every single human should have. When his girlfriend got hit by that car my cousin was at work he dropped what he was doing and went straight to the hospital. He almost punched his boss when he was denied being able to leave. He just walked out and went to the hospital. That is a sign of love and as a straight person he should be the role model for not just straight people but every one in the world.
@@okamiangles7121 Thank you. Technically speaking my cousin isn't an actual "cousin" our moms were just friends as we were growing up and we think of each other as cousins.
There's no problem in being cis, straight or whatever. The real issue is being a miserable and disrespectful human. When you are prejudiced, then you are not okay. I'm a straight trans guy, but I have no right to be homophobic just because I'm straight. And people shouldn't be transphobic just because they are cis, as well. Anyway, thanks, Jamie! Love your vids. Edit.: Wow, I didn't thought people would actually read this. But obviously fools are right below commenting foolish thoughts. The cutest part to the lesbian wedding is they may not have necessarily come out as gay ... they may have been bisexual or pansexual etc .... but the fact he was best man on both sides instead of being petty over his exes marrying each other is freaking adorable
@Science Bear So what you're saying is ... 1 non-binary person attacks a gay bar ... and that makes all of us extremists who want to kill gays Ok well using your logic. Every man is sex offender, and all humans are serial killers, and all white men are racists, all cops are bad, all cis people want to kill trans people etc
_YESS-THANK YOU!_ ^-^ Literally came here to say basically that same thing exactly!!!! Why do people always assume, just because it didn't work out with somebody of the opposite-sex and/or just because they ended up with someone of the same-sex in the end, that somehow automatically means they were homosexual??! 😅😅🙃😿😅😁 (But bi/pan/etc./ people really do exist too though!)
My baby was just in a phase of saying “dadadadadada” without assigning meaning to it and my husband kept saying “mamamamama” to him to try to balance it out.
My grandparents were married 65 years. They had rooms next to each other in their nursing home, and would sit in their wheel chairs holding hands. They died two days apart, and we had a double service for them, with all the grandkids as pall bearers. No one will EVER convince me Grandma didn't wait so Grandpa could go first.
@Star of Europe I mean, it's believable. Elderly couples tend to follow each other pretty closely. It's called the Widowhood effect. While it isn't totally understood, the current leading theory is that the surviving spouse can't withstand the stresses of grief, physically or mentally, and they tend to die shortly after their long term partner.
To anyone not menstruating without a trash can in their bathroom: imagine the sheer luxury of not having to walk to a different room to clean your hairbrush, or throw out a Q-tip, or a tissue you used before realizing you'll clog your cruddy apartment toilet if you try to flush that. You do not need to bleed to get permission to have it. You can just go to ikea, spend twelve bucks, and LIVE THE DREAM.
it always baffles me that people in other countries don't have trash cans in their bathrooms, because in my coutry, every toilet has it's assigned trash can next to it, it is because we trow used toilet paper in them, yes, but it's still so useful
@@spicysalad3013 There's countries where the pipes can handle TP (only TP, ideally from recycled paper, not tissues or paper towels) being flushed. Those countries then have a problem when people who use single-use menstrual products or wet wipes have no trash can.
I dated a man before I came out as a lesbian. It was about a two year relationship, and we stayed friends after breaking up. He is one of the most important friends in my life and I hope we stay in each others lives moving forward. Recently he started dating someone and he is so happy and she is so kind. I can’t say how cute he is when he talks about her and looks at her. It is so sweet.
Fun fact from my son's speech therapist: babies frequently say "dada" early (and before "mama") because "da" is a ballistic syllable, which means it's easier to say. 🤷♀️ But she said she never tells the dads that. 😜
For the pretty princess guy at 6:30 I have a similar thing and wanted to talk about it for a long time, once I was doing a "game" that was about how you fell comfortable being called, and it had nicknames etc. One of the examples was Prince and I just melted with the ideia of someone called me a Prince (I am a cisgender girl, so it never happened before). Ever since I've hidden it from everyone because I thought no one would understand, knowing someone had a similar experience really made my day! Sorry for bad English, not my first language
I love seeing men be kind when their so is on her period. I was on my period recently and went to my husband telling him how gross and dirty I felt because of it (growing up in a household that shamed me for my period products and didn’t allow me to talk about it) he put his hand on my shoulder and told me that I’m not allowed to feel gross. If I have cramps I can feel sick or in pain but I am not allowed to feel gross because it is natural and there is nothing wrong with my body or my periods. They are not gross and I am not gross. I started sobbing because hormones and love and he just laughed and hugged me. I am so lucky to have such a great man! We need more men who think like this!

I was in a really long relationship that found me squashing my personality. Now I am with someone who adores me just as I am. Bi, dominant, strong, sometimes grumpy woman. We are kind of opposite of usual stereotypes. I happily tell him that he is the best wife I could have ever hoped for. & he tells me I'm a pretty good husband. 😂
One of my boyfriend's pet peeves is having to repeat himself. However I'm ADHD and it's common to say "huh?" "What?" And halfway through his repeat I'll respond. It's a processing thing. I gotta admit, that one made me tear up a bit as well. With all the horrible news coming out of the USA on a frequent basis, it's nice to remember that there are still many good people who live there and approach the world with love and kindness rather than hate and prejudice.

Oh my God, so, I'm going to a wedding in June. My ex is getting married to the woman that he dated (on my suggestion) while we were still together. They're the cutest couple, and I'm so glad they still have each other! It was a bit of a rough breakup for me, but we both knew that we weren't fitting quite right. I'm so proud of and excited for the two of them, and I can't wait to see how beautiful the wedding is!
I had to miss my ex's wedding (still good friends) but his now-wife specifically checked with me before asking him out back when we were officially split but still living together and she wasn't sure of the situation. I told her to go for it and I'm glad I did, they were totally right for each other and I found someone right for me.
It was sweet that they did that. Unfortunetly my mind kept me from fully enjoying that bit as much due to information I found out about... Babies natually start off with a vowel after a constant (m, d, p, and b are all fairly common early on), so when a baby says mama, dada, papa, etc for the first time it's unlikly that's it's actually saying anything but rather just making sounds Intestingly the majority of languages and language groups do have some form of that 'ma' for someone to refer to their mother as
@@AnnaMno1 ahahahahahahahaha I am linguist, so I have studied the topic more than a bit. Even though when you are absolutely right, it is a multifactorial situation, so is not black and white in the outcome
At 7:50, a really nice point is made about not being ashamed if the person youre dating turns out as gay or ace. I wanted to add! If you were really trying your all, consider the fact that you made a space and relationship with them that was safe enough that they were genuinely able to explore themselves mentally and then told you. Dont be ashamed. You have probably changed their lives for the better. I write this to my ex of 2 and a half years, who was the MODEL boyfriend in every way. He probably wont see it, but in lieu of him, the rest of yall get it!
My favorite little comic shows the woman waking up, noticing her boyfriend's feet are exposed so she moves the blanket. Then he wakes up, notice she's uncovered and pulls it up. It's adorable
The Dada thing made me tear up too, Jamie! Edit- The blanket ones are always cute, but the real answer is having enough individual blankets that everyone can cocoon in something when snuggle time is done.
@@turingtestingmypatience sorry for getting back to you later on this. The yellow is the Saturnic flag, attraction to non-binary or androgynous people. And then Cupiosexual, which is asexual, but needing a sexual relationship to be fulfilled.

I remember going to a panto where one of the main characters was a man playing a lady. He wore a full dress, and looked amazing. He was the best part of the panto by far, he just hammed up every scene, and there was a point where he just started flirting with a man in the audience in front of the man's wife, and everyone was in stitches. It was great.
I always hoped that my kids' first laugh would be with my husband. He got four out of five first laughs and I love that for him. I am glad that I got one, but mostly glad he got four.
Even if the people in that household don't have periods you should still have a little trashcan in your bathroom. like where do people put the empty loo roll tubes or like used bits of dental floss and stuff.
as a straight person, thank you! I am so used to everyone saying that all straight people are bad, and that is completely false! It definitely makes me feel good seeing someone part of the LGBTQ+ community talking about wholesome straight couples 💗 Edit: forgot the t in straight lol
Straight people get the sharp end of the staff too much but it's not like it's undeserved. The straight folk have caused tons of problems for the LGBTQIA+ community. Look at Ron DeSantis His being elected as governor of Florida is evidence enough there are some bad straight people out there. The guy wants to run for president of the United States next. There are good straight people I know some of them irl and I'm sure you're a good person too but when you hear LGBT people bad mouth the straights that are coming out of fear and experience. It's terrible that they put all straight people in the same boat and we shouldn't do that but straight people do it to us. They call us all child predators because a small percentage of us, unfortunately, prey on children. Do you see this double edge sword? If you don't want to be in that same straight boat then prove it. Speak up for your LGBT classmates/co-workers. Whenever the topic is brought up at the dinner table with your family try to show them your point of view. Be the ally we need you to be.
thanks so much jamie, you are honestly such a beam of light and hope for our community and you make me and so many others feel appreciated and loved. we are so lucky to have you x
5:00 I 100% relate to that! My fiance has a severe peanut allergy that causes seizers so epipens would do the opposite of help him. I had a nightmare once that I eat something with peanuts and kissed him and he freaking died! I woke up in a cold sweat and redoubled my efforts to ensure his safety. By that point I had already cut out everything peanut in my life but idk man we gotta walk around peanut bags at grocery stores
I've seen the balloon one with sound. The girlfriend tells him she had balloons and is clearly very upset that she let them go. He tells her "No, I see them!" and gives her a hug and it's absolutely sweet and the epitome of "It's the thought that counts"
Love seeing content like that! One of those posts reminded me of my great friend who just recently came to me to ask for advice and information about period and period products. His little sister hit puberty and he wants to be good big brother and be able to actually support her when she needs him. He's just very lovely guy
I've seen that last video with the balloons with sound, and you can hear him say that he saw her on the security camera with the balloons and can see them floating away and he appreciates them and it's okay... even sweeter!
@5:40 when Jamie is stumbling over "have a habbit" UA-cam decided to load an add and I got the buffering circle for like 2 seconds and I started laughing. Could not have been better planned.
this video is everything i needed today. Just got covid for the second time while still dealing with long covid for over a year. I'm kinda worried about what this will do to my progress but I'm here trying to ignore it. This video let me know that sweet people still do exist.
It never occurred to me that some people don’t have trash cans in their bathroom, even if they don’t have period products to throw out. Where do you throw away your floss?
The one with the old couple reminded me of my grandparents. One time when I was visiting them I asked how they met and they excitedly shared the story and it was already very cute. And then I went to the bathroom and when I came back they were holding hands across the table and just looking lovingly into each others’ eyes and I almost started crying. They would’ve been married for 70 years in 2020 but grandpa died a few months before the anniversary
My friend and I once had a set of characters that were twins (he controlled the boy, I controlled the girl), and mine was nonverbal, and wrote very little as well. We always had her communicate via emojis with her brother similar to the rabbit dinner thing (Not all emojis, but frequently), and would chat back and forth to decide how best to portray what she wanted. That is, until the two of us started getting so good at understanding EACH OTHER in emojis that we’d write them having conversations this way without discussing it previously, and fully understand one another. It was awesome and really fun!
That story about the guy who asked out his wife makes me think of my parents. I can remember one day we were walking down a stair case in spain enjoying the veiws, my parents were walking hand in hand in front of me. I could hear my mum laughing. This was going on for a while so i asked what was so funny. Apparently my parents were walking im time and my dad would do little skips to get then outnof pattern to wind my mum up. They have been married for over 30 years and they have done this for as long as i can remember
I'm a cis straight woman and we're celebrating 15 years this year. My partner is so sweet, kind, tender and loving. Being in a relationship with him has healed so much of the trauma around men in my life. Now, we have a little girl. We took her to the doctor and he knew just as much about her as I did. It's so healing. He wants to learn macrame so he can make me an earring holder lol.
The last one actually made me emotional because it looks like she is upset and he is really sweetly comforting her. If I lost my husband’s birthday balloons, I would be super upset because he’s so wonderful and deserves a nice birthday surprise and I would be mad at myself for messing it up. But he would totally comfort me like the boyfriend here. And then probably gently tease me (e.g. “Let’s go to dinner in that direction and maybe we will spot them!”). Also, congratulations on the wedding!

Thank you, Jamie, for reminding us that sometimes the straights truly are okay - we are so used to them not be okay this was a cheerful and refreshing reminder! Your hair is looking fabulous and that purple jumper suits you perfectly! Keep on purpling
These reminded me of my father with my mother- he was her primary caretaker thru her Alzheimer's. They were married 61 years, and she was always his sweetheart.
Oh my word. 😅 The one about the husband asking the wife out 8 years after they've already been together was soooo cute, and sooo a call out. My partner had a rough relationship (with a lovely person) where he really wasn't getting enough verbal confirmation that she loves him. And ever since he told me that I've ended up putting a lot of effort into making sure I say I love him, and flirting, and asking him out. It's kinda our inside joke and love language thing. Yay for some straights being okay out there! Any non-okay straights, please take notes from this video!
My partner never asked me out. It would be so validating and life-changing if he did that for me, and I think I will always have a small hole in my heart wondering if he really wants to be with me 😢
every time i hear these stories i think of my grandparents for all my life there had been tons of those kitschy led candles in every corner of my grandparents home. when i got older i learned that in the 70s their entire farm had burned down and they were only able to save themselves and my mom who was still a baby, but lost everything else. my grandpa rebuilt the farm from scratch butbpf course kept a life long phobia of fire, so my hrantdma who loved candles switched to led candles indoors and only had real candles outside in little glass boxes. when my grandma got cancer he lovingly took care of her for years and on the day she passed away, he lit dozens of real candles all around the house for her. its such a raw expression of love that just gives me chills every time i think of it.
My youngest came home from school with a pride flag and I asked him where he got it (for context we live in a rural town in California with lots of closed minded people) he told me he joined the lgbt+ally club at school. He’s in 8th grade and I am so proud of him. We’ve always been open in our house and my kids know that all kinds of people exist and whoever you are as long as you’re a good person is a ok with us. But to see your kids live those principles in the world when you aren’t there is so moving.
AAAGGGHHH! The creepy wolf blanket! It kept popping up in my ads on UA-cam and I thought its sentiments were a bit stalky, so I read it out loud in a stalky voice and my fears were confirmed 🤣🤣🤣
The peanut allergy thing is real though. The last person I dated was crazy allergic to peanuts. I have a pretty limited diet, and one of my safe foods is a peanut butter sandwich. I would always overthink when the last time I ate nuts was, and stress about forgetting and hurting them with a kiss
i get what you mean, my reaction the whole time was just "OMG that's so cuteeeeeee", which yeah it's the same over and over but it's TRUE. they're all so CUTE
My grandmother died after 60 years of marriage to my grandfather, five years ago. My grandfather, who is now 93, moved from his longtime home to a senior center this past summer. The hardest thing about moving from somewhere he'd lived for fifty years? He wouldn't be able to go to the cemetery and visit his beloved wife's grave every day, since he was moving to a new state and giving up his driver's license. It is so adorable to see how much he still loves her after 65 years.
Early in our relationship I woke up cold because my boyfriend had stolen the covers in his sleep. I didn't want to wake him so I just tried to bear it. He woke up regardless, noticed that I was freezing and carefully covered me in the blanket thinking that I was asleep. That melted my heart so much and I fell asleep like a happy hamster in a warm blanket with him. It happens here and there and he always does the same thing. I know I have found the one

Literally came here to say basically that same thing exactly!!!!

My brother is a good straight, stood up for me when our parents deadnamed and misgendered me.
It truly made me well up to see this. We dont all have that luxury and I'm so glad it's a given for you ❤ Hold onto him, you're all u have

@Science Bear What do you mean? I'm queer as can be and he was on my side, against our parents.
W brother
@Science Bear I'm gay, and trans. I love all queer people who are around me. I don't understand what you mean at all.
YOU MADE ME CRY 😭
THAT IS SO SWEET AND SAD
@Star of Europe I mean, it's believable. Elderly couples tend to follow each other pretty closely. It's called the Widowhood effect. While it isn't totally understood, the current leading theory is that the surviving spouse can't withstand the stresses of grief, physically or mentally, and they tend to die shortly after their long term partner.
It doesn't always happen my grandad is still here three years after my gran died and they were an elderly couple both in their 90s
I'm cis male and I use the bathroom trash can for toilet paper, I don't understand why someone wouldn't have one for that purpose...
There's people who don't have trash cans in the bathroom?? Where do they throw away the toilet paper?!
@@spicysalad3013 There's countries where the pipes can handle TP (only TP, ideally from recycled paper, not tissues or paper towels) being flushed. Those countries then have a problem when people who use single-use menstrual products or wet wipes have no trash can.
... I'm AMAB and had no idea that was what it meant. That sounds miserable, and I've had 91 surgeries.

Thanks! I remembered that one of them was easier for babies to pronounce, but I couldn't remember which way it was! 😅
I like to think she tells the dads the same about mama
Everyone feels vindicated
For the pretty princess guy at 6:30
I have a similar thing and wanted to talk about it for a long time, once I was doing a "game" that was about how you fell comfortable being called, and it had nicknames etc.
1) Thank you for sharing this.
2) Your English is great.
I hope you'll be able to talk about that to someone who will let you try ! Have a nice day Prince 😌💜✨
nicknames are so fun to explore and that's so cute:) have a good day prince
I'm also a cis woman and I also think it's a really sweet nickname! They don't always need to be gendered
Yes we do 😊
that is super cutee
not just men.. just humans cause I'm guessing it wasn't just the males of the family making you feel gross. I know it wasn't in my house.

My nana and papa were married for 60 years till she passed away earlier this year, and on their anniversary, while she was in the hospital, he stayed with her all day, and when visiting hours were done, he said "I'll see you tomorrow, I'll love you for forever" and it was so sweet. @@firasjemil213 right...no gay person has ever had straight friends. By that logic my sister would be gay being around me and our two very bi best friends.

@@firasjemil213 Bruh I'm bi and I think a good half of my close friends are straight. By your logic, I'd have infected them and they'd be indentifying as queer too. Hell, I've known one guy for years, and he's still straight.
To the wedding guy who dated two lesbians - it's a compliment. They don't even like guys but they were willing to give you a chance.
I was in a really long relationship that found me squashing my personality.
Now I am with someone who adores me just as I am. Bi, dominant, strong, sometimes grumpy woman.

OK, here's a tip if you have trouble with your partner stealing the covers at night - have separate quilts. You will both be warm through the night. And you can still have a large one over the top if you want
My husband and I've been together for 20 years. We have separate duvets, and you can still totally cuddle with them 😁 we miss the separate duvets when we go somewhere with just the one duvet.
This is also good bc some people prefer have layers and layers of blankets so each person can adjust how warm they wanna be more easily
My sister keeps a pile of blankets on the floor beside her bed. Her husband steals them one by one throughout the night and she keeps replacing them.

I did that too. My husband also fought against me, trying to get our daughter to say mama first.
He won.
It was sweet that they did that. Unfortunetly my mind kept me from fully enjoying that bit as much due to information I found out about...
Babies natually start off with a vowel after a constant (m, d, p, and b are all fairly common early on), so when a baby says mama, dada, papa, etc for the first time it's unlikly that's it's actually saying anything but rather just making sounds
Intestingly the majority of languages and language groups do have some form of that 'ma' for someone to refer to their mother as
@@AnnaMno1 ahahahahahahahaha I am linguist, so I have studied the topic more than a bit.

I am beaming from ear to ear right now. I’m just so happy for all of these amazing people and my new kitten. I just love you all! Thanks!
Congrats on your kitty, whats their name?
My favorite little comic shows the woman waking up, noticing her boyfriend's feet are exposed so she moves the blanket. Then he wakes up, notice she's uncovered and pulls it up. It's adorable
what they need is to get a bigger blanket lmao
The Dada thing made me tear up too, Jamie!
Edit- The blanket ones are always cute, but the real answer is having enough individual blankets that everyone can cocoon in something when snuggle time is done.

Even if the people in that household don't have periods you should still have a little trashcan in your bathroom. like where do people put the empty loo roll tubes or like used bits of dental floss and stuff.
as a straight person, thank you! I am so used to everyone saying that all straight people are bad, and that is completely false! It definitely makes me feel good seeing someone part of the LGBTQ+ community talking about wholesome straight couples 💗
Edit: forgot the t in straight lol

Its heartening to see wholesomeness. You look great in the purple btw ;)
Also, congratulations on the wedding!

for all my life there had been tons of those kitschy led candles in every corner of my grandparents home. when i got older i learned that in the 70s their entire farm had burned down and they were only able to save themselves and my mom who was still a baby, but lost everything else. my grandpa rebuilt the farm from scratch butbpf course kept a life long phobia of fire, so my hrantdma who loved candles switched to led candles indoors and only had real candles outside in little glass boxes. when my grandma got cancer he lovingly took care of her for years and on the day she passed away, he lit dozens of real candles all around the house for her. its such a raw expression of love that just gives me chills every time i think of it.

@@Am-uj6qn a lot to count but one of the male teachers has "Maria" as his second name, which is common, but one of my classmates reacted by saying "Eh, is he a trans??" (idk how to translate it, but she used an offensive way of the word in German) in a shocked and disgusted tone.
I heard a guy talk about how a lot of the boys on his school trip didn't want to sleep in the same room with a specific boy because he's gay, and as the night came more boys came to the extra room and that also just made me sad.
(I even asked my friends later if they're uncomfortable changing when I'm in the room because I'm currently in a same sex relationship and they said they don't mind because they know I am not predatory, which is why that story felt bad for me)

@@Am-uj6qn ah, achso. Sie meinte "Eh, ist der ne Transe?" und hatte sich generell über ihn lustig gemacht weil gesagt wird dass er schwul ist (sagt eine Klassenkameradin).
Aww. Thanks. I needed the mushiness today!❤
I really REALLY hope he wants a kid. He'd be such a good dad.
Like, it's ok if he doesn't, but we need more kids raised by guys like Jamie.
Yes!
My favourite arguments are the ones where you're trying to do something cute for your partner but they ruin it because they were trying to be cute or you were too accurate and the other person did it for themselves
9:20 not a fan of the design?! I love those wolf, it hits me in the "so bad its good" spot.
This was a much needed relief and it has cheered me to no end.
I think your gooshy reactions to people being sweet and adorable to each other are, well, adorable. Never lose that wholesome sentimental vibe!
Hey Jammi, I've been struggling with my gender identity for a few years now and I just no longer feel like a female. I've been thinking and thinking about what I can do or who to go to but I'm not sure what to do first. I'm going through a lot with my identity and watching your videos are really helping me understand how trans people go through life and how they learn things on the way. ❤️❤️
This is the first time I've ever heard of shoe expanders. Fascinating.
my grandparents were married for sixty-two years. we got a few politicians to write them congratulations cards on their sixtieth like how the monarch writes to you on your hundredth (thankfully where I live the pandemic wasn't really a thing yet at the time so we were able to take them out to celebrate)
My eyes just kept watering w every post and then by the end I was just fighting back tears 😭💕people being in love really does it to me.
I was going to make a snarky comment of ‘yeah all 3 of them’ (it’s not been a good time of late) but then my heart melted at the ‘I will go with you’ badge, that is just beautiful
Back in the 60s when high heel pumps were extremely popular my dad used to wear my mom’s pumps to stretch them out for her.
