That is awesome! I went to nootka August 10-14th of last year. Unfortunately not tuna fishing but we got solid salmon and went off shore once. When did you guys head out and get them?
That's great. Nootka is a special place we haven't spent much time in but are definitely planning to visit a lot more now. This was filmed July 31st, 2024. Thanks for watching!
Awesome, was supposed to do this a few years ago out of Tahsis but unfortunately the outfit we booked just charged us extra when we booked and never planned to take us ever… didn’t even have the boat to get out there properly just totally ripped us. When we asked he just got his back up a fed me lies and told us he has so much business no matter what we said in reviews it wouldn’t affect him… I gave terrible feedback anyway on his business site. Thanks for sharing
Showing the guy the wrong way to hold a rod. If you bump it up to about 7 knots. You'll do much better. The lures dont swim right that slow. That's a good speed for slow trolling swim baits. Which is an absolutely awesome way to catch them. And that super light tackle is taking a chance. Especially with the BFT and Bigeye that's been showing up. Gotta love this stuff!
Looks like a heck of a nice day offshore.
Yeah it was honestly hard to believe. Unreal day!
Watched on Chek tv 👍🏻🇨🇦

It looks like land way in the background. did you end up going out 40 miles?
It was about 40 miles we were surprised to still be able to see land as well there was some debate on the boat about what we were actually seeing!

Dang. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. If you ever get the chance again it’s an incredibly fun way to fish!
