I think it's the European way of writing his Turkish name. His original name was Gjergj Kastrioti and that's not even close to Skanderbeg. He could receive his new name because they couldn't pronounce the real one but you don't get the name Lord Alexander for no reason.

Could you explain Battle of Varna. Because some europan countries had a a big problem after the war. As you can see Bohemia, hungary, Poland start with interugum at 11 november 1444 because they lost own ruler in this war.
