MHW is my first MH game and I started with the longsword. After 200 hours of longsword gameplay, I could finally say that I can't do these things very consistently lol
luckily for me I'm with 400 hours, and I can finally say I can do some of these lvl11 things some times (not always on purpose)

i am planning to stop playing LS just coz I can't seem to do these counters consistently, these vids makes it soo easy

Yes it is. That's Frostcraft effect from Velkhana's set. Frostcraft is my favorite set for Iai Spam.haha

That's called Frostcraft a special skill granted from Velkhana Armor
@@dcshiori sounds incredible, what does it do?
Frostcraft is a cooldown based special attack that deals a super massive damage on monster when landing an attack with full bar Frostcraft. It's very effective on Iai Spirit Attack and Spirit Helm Breaker attack.
Always loved the weapon, its style, movement and looks but despite many many tries, i still couldn't get hang of it, something just simply didn't click for me ;( thus my hunter is just an empty shell, jelously looking at such vids while cleaning his hbg (yea, im a cheesy hbg user ;( melee just seems too hard for me)

Actually, I've been mastered almost all weapon class.
There's no shortcut to master any weapon easily. 😿
What about Dual Blades?
Or have you ever tried Gunlance? That's good melee weapon with semi-shooting mechanism.
@@dcshiori yeah, i tried gunlance and lance with semi-decent results. It is easier to hide behind a shield when you're shit at dodging. Maybe i will try one more time, the hard wat w/o shooting or cowarding behind the shield. Whats more important, w/o defender set as well
I highly recommend you to use Dual Blades, it's very easy and flexible.🐱
Don't forget to use evade window skill for easy dodging.

What is more important, i guess I found my new main weapon of choice..... dootbag, mighty horn... never thought i will pock that one, always seemed weak ( yeah, maybe it is weakest of them all, but idgaf) and boring.. boy, ooh boy i was sooo wrong
